And she said to her father, Let it not be an occasion of anger in the eyes of my lord that I cannot rise up before thee, for it is with me after the manner of women. And he searched carefully, but did not find the teraphim.

And she said to her father, Let it not displease my lord that I cannot rise up before thee; for the custom of women is upon me. And he searched, but found not the images.

А вона сказала до батька свого: „Нехай не палає гнів в очах батька мого, бо я не можу встати перед обличчям твоїм, бо в мене тепер звичайне жіноче“. І перешукав він, — та божків не знайшов.

— Не гневайся, мой господин: я не могу встать перед тобой, потому что у меня то, что обычно бывает у женщин.
Как он ни искал, он не смог найти божков. -
І сказала своєму батькові: Не обурюйся, володарю, що не можу встати перед тобою, — бо в мене звичайне жіноче. Тож Лаван обшукав усе житло — і не знайшов божків.
