And all his sons and all his daughters rose up to comfort him, but he refused to be comforted, and said, For I will go down to my son into Sheol mourning. Thus his father wept for him.

Посходилися ж усї його синове й дочки розважати його, та не слухав розважання говорючи: Пійду до сина мого сумуючи на той сьвіт у землю. Так убивався по йому батько його. -
І зачали всі сини його та всі дочки його потіша́ти його. Але він не міг утішитися, та й сказав: „У жало́бі зійду я до сина мого до шеолу“. І плакав за ним його ба́тько.

Все его сыновья и дочери пришли утешать его, но он отказывался от утешений, говоря:
— Нет, я так, скорбя, и сойду в мир мертвых,197 к моему сыну.
Так отец оплакивал своего сына. -
Зібралися ж усі його сини й дочки, — вони прийшли втішити його, але він не бажав утішатися, кажучи: З плачем піду я до мого сина, до аду. Так плакав за ним його батько.
