А цариця Ше́ви, коли почула була про славу Соломона, щодо Господнього Імени, то прийшла ви́пробувати його за́гадками.
And she came to Jerusalem with a very great train, with camels that bore spices and gold in very great abundance, and precious stones; and she came to Solomon, and spoke to him of all that was in her heart.
І прийшла́ вона до Єрусалиму з дуже великим багатством, — з верблю́дами, що не́сли па́хощі, і з дуже числе́нним золотом, і з дорогим камі́нням. І прийшла́ вона до Соломона, і говорила йому все, що було на серці її.
And Solomon explained to her all she spoke of: there was not a thing hidden from the king that he did not explain to her.
І Соломон ви́яснив їй усі її слова́, — не було речі, незна́ної цареві, якої не порішив би він їй.
And when the queen of Sheba saw all Solomon's wisdom, and the house that he had built,
І побачила цариця Шеви всю Соломонову мудрість, та дім, що він збудував,
and the food of his table, and the deportment of his servants, and the order of service of his attendants, and their apparel, and his cupbearers, and his ascent by which he went up to the house of Jehovah, there was no more spirit in her.
і ї́жу сто́лу його, і ме́шкання рабів його, і поста́ву слуг його та їхні одежі, і напо́ї його, і цілопа́лення, що він прино́сить у Господньому домі, — і не могла вона з дива вийти!
And she said to the king, It was a true report that I heard in mine own land of thine affairs, and of thy wisdom;
І сказала вона до царя: „Правдою було те, що я чула в своїм кра́ї про твої діла та про твою мудрість.
but I gave no credit to the words, until I came and mine eyes had seen; and behold, the half was not told me: in wisdom and prosperity thou exceedest the report that I heard.
І не повірила я тим словам, аж поки не прийшла та не побачили мої очі, — і ось не була́ предста́влена мені й половина: ти переви́щив мудрість та добро тієї слави, про яку я чула!
Happy are thy men! happy are these thy servants, who stand continually before thee, who hear thy wisdom!
Щасливі люди твої, щасливі оці твої слуги, що за́вжди стоять перед обличчям твоїм, що слухають твою мудрість!
Blessed be Jehovah thy God, who delighted in thee, to set thee on the throne of Israel! Because Jehovah loves Israel for ever, therefore did he make thee king, to do judgment and justice.
Нехай буде благословенний Господь, Бог твій, що вподо́бав тебе, щоб посадити тебе́ на Ізраїлів трон, через Господню любов до Ізраїля навіки. І Він настанови́в тебе царем, щоб чинити право та справедливість.“
And she gave the king a hundred and twenty talents of gold, and spices in very great abundance, and precious stones: there came no more such abundance of spices as those which the queen of Sheba gave to king Solomon.
І дала́ вона цареві сто й двадцять тала́нтів золота, і дуже багато па́хощів та дорогого камі́ння. Більш уже ніко́ли не прихо́дило так багато, як оці па́хощі, що цариця Шеви дала цареві Соломонові!
(And the fleet also of Hiram, which carried gold from Ophir, brought from Ophir sandal-wood in very great abundance, and precious stones.
І також Хірамові кораблі, що дово́зили золото з Офіру, спрова́джували з Офіру багато алму́ґового дерева та дороге камі́ння.
And the king made of the sandal-wood a balustrade for the house of Jehovah, and for the king's house, and harps and lutes for the singers. There came no such sandal-wood, nor was there seen to this day.)
І поробив цар з алмуґового дерева пору́ччя для Господнього храму та для дому царсько́го, і гу́сла, і а́рфи для співаків. Ніко́ли не прихо́дило так багато алмуґового де́рева, і не ба́чено аж до цього дня!
And king Solomon gave to the queen of Sheba all her desire, whatever she asked, besides what he gave her of the bounty of king Solomon. And she turned and went to her own land, she and her servants.
А цар Соломон дав цариці Шеви на жада́ння її все, чого вона бажала, окрім того, що дав їй як царськи́й дару́нок Соломонів. І обернулася вона, та й пішла до свого кра́ю, вона та слуги її.
Solomon's Riches
And the weight of gold that came to Solomon in one year was six hundred and sixty-six talents of gold,

І була́ вага того золота, що прихо́дило для Соломона в одно́му році, шість сотень шістдеся́т і шість талантів золота,
besides what [came] by the dealers, and by the traffic of the merchants, and by all the kings of Arabia, and by the governors of the country.
окрім того, що прихо́дило від купців та з торгі́влі ходячих, та від усіх царів Арабії та краєви́х намісників.
And king Solomon made two hundred targets of beaten gold, -- he applied six hundred [shekels] of gold to one target;
І зробив цар Соломон дві сотні великих щиті́в із ку́того золота, — шість сотень шеклів золота йшло на одно́го щита,
and three hundred shields of beaten gold, -- he applied three minas of gold to one shield; and the king put them in the house of the forest of Lebanon.
та три сотні щитів менших із кутого золота, — три міні золота йшло на одного щита. І цар віддав їх до дому Ливанського Лісу.
And the king made a great throne of ivory, and overlaid it with refined gold:
І зробив цар великого тро́на зо слоно́вої ко́сти, і покрив його щирим золотом.
the throne had six steps, and the top of the throne was rounded behind; and there were arms on each side at the place of the seat, and two lions stood beside the arms;
У трона було шість ступе́нів; а голова в трона кругля́ста позад його та пору́ччя з того й з того боку при місці сиді́ння, та два леви, що стояли при пору́ччях.
and twelve lions stood there on the one side and on the other upon the six steps: there was not the like made in any kingdom.
І дванадцять левів стояли там на шости ступе́нях із того й з того боку. По всіх царствах не було так зро́бленого!
And all king Solomon's drinking vessels were of gold, and all the vessels of the house of the forest of Lebanon were of precious gold: none were of silver, [which] was not of the least account in the days of Solomon.
І ввесь по́суд на пиття царя Соломона — золото, і всі речі дому Ливанського Лісу — щире золото, нічо́го із срібла, — воно за Соломонових днів не рахувалося за щось.
For the king had on the sea a Tarshish-fleet, with the fleet of Hiram: once in three years came the Tarshish-fleet, bringing gold and silver, ivory, and apes, and peacocks.
Бо цар мав на морі таршіські кораблі́ ра́зом із кораблями Хірамовими. Раз на три роки прихо́дили таршіські кораблі, що дово́зили золото, і срібло, і слоно́ву кість, і мавп, і пав.
And king Solomon was greater than all the kings of the earth in riches and in wisdom.
І став цар Соломон найбільшим від усіх зе́мних царів, щодо багатства та щодо мудрости.
And all the earth sought the presence of Solomon, to hear his wisdom, which God had put in his heart.
І вся земля хотіла бачити Соломона, щоб послухати його́ мудрости, що Бог дав у його серце.
And they brought every man his present, vessels of silver, and vessels of gold, and clothing, and armour, and spices, horses and mules, a rate year by year.
І вони прино́сили кожен свого да́ра, — речі срібні та речі золоті, й одежу, і збро́ю, і па́хощі, коні та мули, — із року в рік.
And Solomon gathered chariots and horsemen; and he had a thousand four hundred chariots, and twelve thousand horsemen; and he placed them in the chariot-cities, and with the king at Jerusalem.
І назбирав Соломон колесни́ць та верхівці́в, і було в нього тисяча й чотири сотні колесни́ць та дванадцять тисяч верхівці́в, і він порозміщував їх по колесни́чних міста́х та з царем в Єрусалимі.
And the king made silver in Jerusalem as stones, and cedars made he as the sycamores that are in the lowland for abundance.
І Соломон насклада́в в Єрусалимі срібла, як каміння, а ке́дрів наскладав, щодо числе́нности, як сикомо́ри, що в Шефелі!
And the exportation of horses that Solomon had was from Egypt: a caravan of the king's merchants fetched a drove [of horses], at a price.
А ко́ней, що були в Соломона, приво́дили з Єгипту та з Кеве; царські́ купці брали їх із Кеве за встано́влені гро́ші.
And a chariot came up and went out of Egypt for six hundred [shekels] of silver, and a horse for a hundred and fifty; and so they brought [them] by their means, for all the kings of the Hittites and for the kings of Syria.
І вхо́дила й вихо́дила колесни́ця з Єгипту за шість сотень шеклів срібла, а кінь — за сто й п'ятдеся́т. І так вони виво́зили все це своєю рукою для всіх царів хіттійських та царям сирійським.
