Jehu Anointed King of Israel

And Elisha the prophet called one of the sons of the prophets, and said to him, Gird up thy loins, and take this vial of oil in thy hand, and go to Ramoth-Gilead.

Пророк Елисей позвал одного человека из братства пророков и сказал ему: "Приготовься и возьми в руку этот маленький сосуд с елеем, и пойди в Рамоф Галаадский.

And when thou art come thither, look out there Jehu the son of Jehoshaphat, son of Nimshi, and go in, and make him rise up from among his brethren, and bring him to an inner chamber;

Когда ты придёшь туда, найди там Ииуя, сына Иосафата, сына Намессиева. Пойди к нему, выведи его из окружения братьев его и уведи его во внутреннюю комнату.

then take the vial of oil, and pour it on his head and say, Thus saith Jehovah: I have anointed thee king over Israel; and open the door, and flee, and tarry not.

Затем возьми сосуд с елеем, вылей его на голову Ииуя и произнеси: "Так говорит Господь: Я помазал тебя в цари над Израилем". Потом открой дверь и беги. Не жди!"

And the young man, the young prophet, went to Ramoth-Gilead.

И юноша, пророк, пошёл в Рамоф Галаадский.

And when he came, behold, the captains of the host were sitting. And he said, I have an errand to thee, captain. And Jehu said, To which of all of us? And he said, To thee, captain.

Когда он пришёл, то увидел всех военачальников, сидящих вместе. Юноша сказал: "Начальник, у меня есть слово для тебя". Ииуй спросил: "Для кого из нас?" Юноша ответил: "Для тебя, военачальник".

And he rose up and went into the house; and he poured the oil on his head, and said to him, Thus saith Jehovah the God of Israel: I have anointed thee king over the people of Jehovah, over Israel.

Ииуй встал и вошёл в дом. Тогда пророк вылил елей на голову Ииуя и произнёс: "Так говорит Господь, Бог Израиля: "Я помазал тебя быть царём над народом Господа, Израилем.

7

And thou shalt smite the house of Ahab thy master; and I will avenge the blood of my servants the prophets, and the blood of all the servants of Jehovah at the hand of Jezebel.

Ты должен истребить дом Ахава, твоего господина. Так Я отомщу за кровь слуг Моих, пророков, и за кровь всех слуг Господа, убитых Иезавелью.

8

And the whole house of Ahab shall perish, and I will cut off from Ahab every male, and him that is shut up and left in Israel.

8

И погибнет вся семья Ахава. Я истреблю весь мужской пол в семье Ахава в Израиле — и раба, и вольного.

9

And I will make the house of Ahab as the house of Jeroboam the son of Nebat, and as the house of Baasha the son of Ahijah.

Я сделаю дом Ахава, как дом Иеровоама, сына Навата, и как дом Ваасы, сына Ахиина.

10

And the dogs shall eat Jezebel in the plot of Jizreel, and none shall bury her. And he opened the door and fled.

10

Псы съедят Иезавель на участке земли Изреельской, и никто её не похоронит"". Затем молодой пророк открыл дверь и убежал.

And Jehu came forth to the servants of his lord. And one said to him, Is all well? why came this madman to thee? And he said to them, Ye know the man, and his mind.

11

Когда Ииуй вышел к слугам своего господина, один из них спросил его: "Всё ли в порядке? Зачем приходил к тебе этот сумасшедший человек?" Ииуй ответил: "Вы знаете этого человека, и то, какие безумные вещи он говорит".

And they said, It is false! tell us now. And he said, Thus and thus spoke he to me saying, Thus saith Jehovah: I have anointed thee king over Israel.

Они сказали: "Нет! Скажи нам правду. Что он сказал?" И Ииуй сказал им: "Он сказал мне то-то и то-то, говоря мне: "Так говорит Господь: Я помазал тебя в цари над Израилем"".

Then they hasted and took every man his garment, and put it under him on the very stairs, and blew with trumpets, and said, Jehu is king!

Тогда они быстро сняли свои одежды и постелили их Ииую на ступенях. Затем они затрубили в трубу и закричали: "Ииуй — царь!"

Jehu Kills Joram and Ahaziah

And Jehu the son of Jehoshaphat, son of Nimshi, conspired against Joram. (Now Joram kept Ramoth-Gilead, he and all Israel, because of Hazael king of Syria;

Ииуй, сын Иосафата, сына Намессиева, восстал против Иорама. В это время Иорам со всеми израильтянами пытался защитить Рамоф Галаадский от Азаила, царя Сирийского.

and king Joram had returned to be healed in Jizreel of the wounds that the Syrians had given him, when he fought against Hazael king of Syria.) And Jehu said, If it be your will, let not a fugitive escape out of the city to go to tell [it] in Jizreel.

Царь Иорам воевал с Азаилом, царём Сирийским. Но сирийцы ранили царя Иорама, и он вернулся в Изреель залечивать раны. И сказал Ииуй: "Если вы согласны с тем, что я царь, то не дайте никому уйти из города, чтобы не рассказали эту весть в Изрееле".

And Jehu rode in a chariot and went to Jizreel; for Joram lay there. And Ahaziah king of Judah had come down to see Joram.

Затем Ииуй сел в колесницу и отправился в Изреель, где отдыхал Иорам. Охозия, царь Иудейский, тоже пришёл туда навестить Иорама.

17

And the watchman stood on the tower in Jizreel, and saw Jehu's company as he came, and said, I see a company. And Joram said, Take a horseman, and send to meet them, and let him say, Is it peace?

На башне в Изрееле стоял сторож. Он увидел приближающееся полчище Ииуя и сказал: "Я вижу полчище". И сказал Иорам: "Пошлите всадника им навстречу. Пусть он спросит их: "С миром ли вы пришли?""

So there went one on horseback to meet him; and he said, Thus saith the king: Is it peace? And Jehu said, What hast thou to do with peace? turn thee behind me. And the watchman told saying, The messenger came to them, and he does not return.

Всадник выехал навстречу Ииую и сказал: "Царь Иорам спрашивает: "С миром ли вы пришли?"" И сказал Ииуй: "Какое тебе дело до мира? Поезжай за мной". Сторож сказал Иораму: "Посланец доехал до них, но не возвращается".

And he sent out a second on horseback; and he came to them and said, Thus saith the king: Is it peace? And Jehu said, What hast thou to do with peace? turn thee behind me.

Тогда царь послал другого всадника. Он приехал к Ииую и сказал: "Так говорит царь: "Мир"". Ииуй ответил: "Какое тебе дело до мира! Поезжай за мной".

20

And the watchman told saying, He came to them, and does not return. And the driving is like the driving of Jehu the son of Nimshi; for he drives furiously.

Сторож сказал Иораму: "Второй посланец доехал до них, но тоже не возвращается. Там человек едет в своей колеснице, и он похож на Ииуя, сына Намессиева, потому что он едет, как безумный".

21

Then Joram said, Make ready! And they made ready his chariot. And Joram king of Israel and Ahaziah king of Judah went out, each in his chariot; and they went out to meet Jehu, and met him in the plot of Naboth the Jizreelite.

И сказал Иорам: "Запрягите мою колесницу!" Слуги запрягли его колесницу. И выехали Иорам, царь Израильский, и Охозия, царь Иудейский, навстречу Ииую , каждый в своей колеснице. Они встретились с Ииуем на поле Навуфея Изреелитянина.

And it came to pass when Joram saw Jehu, that he said, Is it peace, Jehu? And he said, What peace, so long as the fornications of thy mother Jezebel and her sorceries are so many?

Иорам увидел Ииуя и спросил: "С миром ли ты пришёл, Ииуй?" Ииуй ответил: "Какой может быть мир, пока мать твоя Иезавель занимается идолопоклонством и колдовством?"

Then Joram turned his hand, and fled, and said to Ahaziah, Treachery, Ahaziah!

Иорам развернулся и побежал, крича Охозии: "Измена, Охозия!"

24

And Jehu took his bow in his hand, and smote Jehoram between his arms, and the arrow went out through his heart; and he sank down in his chariot.

24

Но Ииуй натянул свой лук и поразил Иорама между плеч. Стрела пронзила сердце Иорама, и он пал замертво в своей колеснице.

25

And he said to Bidkar his captain, Take him up [and] cast him in the plot of the field of Naboth the Jizreelite. For remember how, when I and thou rode together after Ahab his father, that Jehovah laid this burden upon him:

Ииуй сказал Бидекару, своему колесничему: "Возьми тело Иорама и брось его на поле Навуфея Изреелитянина. Вспомни, как мы ехали вместе позади Ахава, отца его, и как Господь сказал, что это с ним случится.

26

Certainly I have seen yesterday the blood of Naboth, and the blood of his sons, saith Jehovah; and I will requite thee in this plot, saith Jehovah. And now, take [and] cast him into the plot, according to the word of Jehovah.

Господь Говорил: "Вчера я видел кровь Навуфея и кровь сыновей его, и я клянусь, что накажу тебя, Ахав, на этом поле. Это слово Господа". Возьми же тело Иорама и брось его на поле, как говорил Господь!"

27

When Ahaziah king of Judah saw [that], he fled by the way of the garden-house. And Jehu followed after him, and said, Smite him also in his chariot. It was on the ascent of Gur, which is by Jibleam. And he fled to Megiddo, and died there.

Охозия, царь Иудейский, увидев, что произошло, побежал по дороге к дому в саду. Ииуй преследовал его, говоря: "Убейте и его в колеснице!" Они ранили его в колеснице на подъёме в Гур, возле Ивлеама. Охозия убежал в Мегиддон и там умер.

And his servants carried him in a chariot to Jerusalem, and buried him in his sepulchre with his fathers in the city of David.

(And in the eleventh year of Joram the son of Ahab had Ahaziah begun to reign over Judah.)

The Murder of Jezebel

And Jehu came to Jizreel; and Jezebel heard of it, and she put paint to her eyes, and decked her head, and looked out at the window.

30

Затем Ииуй отправился в Изреель. Когда Иезавель услышала об этом, она накрасилась, уложила волосы и стала смотреть в окно.

And when Jehu came in at the gate, she said, Is it peace, Zimri, murderer of his master?

31

And he lifted up his face to the window, and said, Who is on my side? who? And two or three chamberlains looked out to him.

Ииуй взглянул на окно и сказал: "Кто на моей стороне? Кто?" И выглянули к нему два или три евнуха.

33

And he said, Throw her down! And they threw her down; and some of her blood was sprinkled on the wall, and on the horses; and he trampled on her.

33

Ииуй сказал: "Сбросьте Иезавель вниз!" И евнухи сбросили её. Немного её крови брызнуло на стену и на коней. И кони растоптали её тело.

34

And he came in, and ate and drank; and he said, Go, look, I pray you, after this cursed [woman], and bury her; for she is a king's daughter.

Ииуй вошёл в дом, и ел, и пил. Затем он сказал: "Позаботьтесь об этой проклятой женщине и похороните её, так как она царская дочь".

35

And they went to bury her; but they found no more of her than the skull, and the feet, and the palms of the hands.

35

Люди пошли похоронить её, но не смогли найти её тела. Они смогли найти только её череп, её ступни и кисти рук.

36

And they came back and told him. And he said, This is the word of Jehovah, which he spoke through his servant Elijah the Tishbite saying, In the plot of Jizreel shall dogs eat the flesh of Jezebel;

and the carcase of Jezebel shall be as dung upon the open field in the plot of Jizreel, so that they shall not say, This is Jezebel.

Тело Иезавели будет, как навоз на участке Изреельском. И никто не скажет, что это Иезавель"".
