So David said to Joab and to the leaders of the people, “Go, number Israel from Beersheba to Dan, and bring the number of them to me that I may know it.”

— Пойдите произведите перепись израильтян от Вирсавии до Дана и доложите мне, чтобы я знал, сколько их. -
І промовив цар Давид Йоаву і начальникам війська: Ідіть, перерахуйте Ізраїля від Вирсавії й аж до Дана і принесіть до мене, і знатиму їхню чисельність!
