Offerings for the Temple

And king David said to all the congregation, Solomon my son, the one whom God has chosen, is young and tender, and the work is great; for this palace is not to be for man, but for Jehovah Elohim.

Царь Давид сказал всем израильтянам, которые собрались вместе: "Господь избрал моего сына, Соломона. Соломон молод и не знает всего, что нужно для того, чтобы сделать это дело. Но дело это очень важное. Этот дом не для людей, а для Господа Бога.

And I have prepared according to all my power for the house of my God gold for [things of] gold, and silver for [things of] silver, and brass for [things of] brass, iron for [things of] iron, and wood for [things of] wood; onyx stones, and [stones] to be set, glistering stones, and of divers colours, and all manner of precious stones, and white marble in abundance.

Я сделал всё, что мог, чтобы составить план строительства храма Бога моего. Я дал золото для золотых вещей и серебро для серебряных. Я дал медь для медных вещей, железо для железных и дерево для деревянных вещей. Я также дал камни оникса для оправы, мозаичный изразец, красивые разноцветные камни, драгоценные камни и белый мрамор. Я дал всё это для строительства храма Господа.

And moreover, in my affection for the house of my God I have given of my own property of gold and silver, for the house of my God, over and above all that I have prepared for the house of the sanctuary:

Я приношу золото и серебро в особый дар храму моего Бога, ибо хочу, чтобы храм моего Бога был построен. Я даю все эти вещи на строительство святого храма.

three thousand talents of gold, of the gold of Ophir, and seven thousand talents of refined silver, to overlay the walls of the houses;

Я дал сто десять тонн чистого Офирского золота и двести шестьдесят тонн чистого серебра, чтобы покрыть ими стены помещений в храме.

gold for [things of] gold, and silver for [things of] silver, and for all manner of work by the hands of artificers. And who is willing to offer to Jehovah this day?

Я дал золото и серебро для всех золотых и серебряных вещей и для всяких изделий, созданных руками искусных мастеров. Итак, кто из вас, израильтяне, готов посвятить себя сегодня Господу?"

And the chief fathers and princes of the tribes of Israel, and the captains of thousands and of hundreds, and the comptrollers of the king's business, offered willingly.

Вожди семей и вожди колен Израиля, и начальники тысяч и сотен, и приближённые, отвечавшие за царскую работу, были готовы отдать свои ценные вещи.

And they gave for the service of the house of God five thousand talents and ten thousand darics of gold, and ten thousand talents of silver, and eighteen thousand talents of brass, and one hundred thousand talents of iron.

Вот то, что они пожертвовали храму Божьему: сто девяносто тонн золота, триста семьдесят пять тонн серебра, шестьсот семьдесят пять тонн меди и три тысячи семьсот пятьдесят тонн железа.

And they with whom stones were found gave [them] to the treasure of the house of Jehovah, into the hand of Jehiel the Gershonite.

And the people rejoiced because they offered willingly, for with perfect heart they offered willingly to Jehovah; and David the king also rejoiced with great joy.

Народ был счастлив, потому что их вожди от всего сердца пожертвовали так много. Царь Давид тоже очень радовался.

David's Prayer of Praise

And David blessed Jehovah in the sight of all the congregation; and David said, Blessed be thou, Jehovah, the God of our father Israel, for ever and ever.

И тогда Давид благословил Господа перед всем народом, который собрался. Давид сказал: "Господи, Боже Израиля, отец наш, да будь благословен Ты вечно!

11

Thine, Jehovah, is the greatness, and the power, and the glory, and the splendour, and the majesty; for all that is in the heavens and on the earth is thine: thine, Jehovah, is the kingdom, and thou art exalted as Head above all;

Тебе принадлежат величие, могущество, слава, победа и честь! Ибо всё Твоё, всё, что на небе и на земле. Царство Тебе принадлежит, Господи! Ты — глава и владыка над всем.

12

and riches and glory are of thee, and thou rulest over everything; and in thy hand is power and might; and in thy hand it is to make all great and strong.

Богатство и слава исходят от Тебя. Ты правишь всем. В Твоих руках могущество и сила! Любого можешь сделать Ты великим и могучим.

13

And now, our God, we thank thee, and praise thy glorious name.

13

И теперь, Боже наш, мы благодарим Тебя и превозносим славное имя Твоё!

14

But who am I, and what is my people, that we should be able to offer willingly after this manner? for all is of thee, and of that which is from thy hand have we given thee.

Все эти вещи пришли не от меня и моего народа! Все эти вещи от Тебя пришли. Мы только возвращаем Тебе то, что получили от Тебя.

15

For we are strangers before thee, and sojourners, as all our fathers: our days on the earth are as a shadow, and there is no hope [of life].

Мы всего лишь пришельцы, идущие через эту страну, как и наши предки. Наше время на земле подобно проходящей тени. И не можем мы остановить его.

16

Jehovah our God, all this store that we have prepared to build thee a house to thy holy name, is of thy hand, and is all thine own.

Господи, Боже наш! Мы собрали все эти вещи, чтоб построить Тебе храм. Мы построим этот храм в честь имени Твоего. Но всё это получено от Тебя, и всё принадлежит Тебе!

17

And I know, my God, that thou triest the heart, and hast pleasure in uprightness. In the uprightness of my heart have I willingly offered all these things; and now have I seen with joy thy people, which are present here, offer willingly to thee.

Мой Бог, я знаю, что Ты испытываешь людей и любишь, когда делают добро. Я от чистого сердца и с радостью отдаю Тебе всё это. Я вижу, что и Твой народ, который здесь собрался, с радостью жертвует Тебе.

18

Jehovah, God of Abraham, of Isaac, and of Israel, our fathers, keep this for ever in the imagination of the thoughts of the heart of thy people, and direct their hearts to thee!

Господи, Бог наших предков, Авраама, Исаака и Израиля, помоги народу Твоему задумывать доброе. Помоги им быть преданными Тебе и честными!

19

And give to Solomon my son a perfect heart, to keep thy commandments, thy testimonies, and thy statutes, and to do all, and to build the palace, for which I have made provision.

И Соломону, сыну моему, помоги быть честным с Тобой. Чтобы всегда он следовал Твоим заповедям, законам и правилам. Помоги Соломону исполнить всё это и построить великолепное здание, для которого я сделал приготовления".

20

And David said to all the congregation, Bless now Jehovah your God. And all the congregation blessed Jehovah the God of their fathers, and bowed down their heads, and did homage to Jehovah and the king.

Затем Давид сказал всем собравшимся: "Восхваляйте теперь Господа, Бога вашего". И весь народ благословил Господа Бога, Которому поклонялись их предки. Они пали на землю, и поклонились Господу и царю.

21

Solomon Anointed King

And they sacrificed sacrifices to Jehovah, and offered up burnt-offerings to Jehovah, on the morrow after that day: a thousand bullocks, a thousand rams, a thousand lambs, with their drink-offerings, and sacrifices in abundance for all Israel.

На следующий день народ принёс жертвы Господу. Они принесли Господу жертвы всесожжения: тысячу телят, тысячу баранов, тысячу ягнят и с ними винное приношение, а также множество жертв от всего народа Израиля.

22

And they ate and drank before Jehovah on that day with great joy. And they made Solomon the son of David king the second time, and anointed him to Jehovah to be prince, and Zadok to be priest.

В тот день люди были очень счастливы, когда ели и пили там вместе с Господом. Они сделали Соломона, сына Давида, царём во второй раз. Они помазали Соломона на царство, а Садока в священники. Они сделали это там, где был Господь.

23

And Solomon sat on the throne of Jehovah as king instead of David his father, and prospered; and all Israel obeyed him.

Затем Соломон сел на престол Господа как царь, и занял место своего отца. Соломону сопутствовал успех, и весь народ Израиля повиновался ему.

24

And all the princes, and the mighty men, and all the sons likewise of king David, submitted themselves to Solomon the king.

24

Все вожди, воины и все сыновья Давида приняли царя Соломона и подчинились ему.

25

And Jehovah magnified Solomon exceedingly in the sight of all Israel, and bestowed upon him royal majesty such as had not been on any king before him in Israel.

Господь возвеличил Соломона, и весь народ Израиля знал это. Господь дал Соломону славу, какую должен иметь царь. Такой славы не было прежде ни у одного из царей Израиля.

26

David's Reign and Death

Now David the son of Jesse reigned over all Israel.

26

Давид, сын Иессея, царствовал в Израиле сорок лет. В городе Хевроне Давид был царём семь лет, а в Иерусалиме царствовал тридцать три года.

27

And the time that he reigned over Israel was forty years: he reigned seven years in Hebron, and he reigned thirty-three years in Jerusalem.

28

And he died in a good old age, full of days, riches, and honour; and Solomon his son reigned in his stead.

Давид умер в глубокой старости. Он прожил хорошую, долгую жизнь, имея много богатства и славы. Новым царём после него стал его сын Соломон.

And the acts of David the king, first and last, behold, they are written in the book of Samuel the seer, and in the book of Nathan the prophet, and in the book of Gad the seer;

Все дела царя Давида, от первых до последних, описаны в книгах пророка Самуила, пророка Нафана и пророка Гада.

30

with all his reign and his might, and the times that passed over him, and over Israel, and over all the kingdoms of the countries.
