And it came to pass at the time the chest was brought for the king's control by the hand of the Levites, and when they saw that there was much money, the king's scribe and high priest's officer came, and they emptied the chest, and took it, and carried it to its place again. Thus they did day by day, and gathered money in abundance.

А коли наставав час, що скриню приносили через левітів до урядників царських, і коли вони бачили, що там багато срібла, тодї приходив писар царський та довірений первосьвященника, й висипали зо скринї, й відносили її, та й ставили на своє місце. Так робили вони по всяк день і зібрали силу срібла. -
І бувало того ча́су, коли Левити прино́сили скриньку на царськи́й перегляд, і як вони бачили, що числе́нне те срібло, то прихо́див царськи́й писар та призна́чений від священика-голови, і вони випоро́жнювали скриньку. Потім відно́сили її, і поверта́ли її на її місце. Так робили вони день-у-день, і зібрали дуже багато срібла.

Всякий раз, когда левиты приносили ящик к царским чиновникам и те видели, что в нем много денег, царский писарь и поверенный первосвященника приходили и опустошали ящик, и его снова относили на место. Они делали это постоянно и собрали много денег.

І бувало, коли приносили скриньку до наставників царя з допомогою левітів, і коли він бачив, що вона наповнювалася грішми, то приходив писар царя і наставник великого священика, і вони випорожнювали скриньку й ставили на своє місце. Так робили з дня на день і зібрали багато грошей.
