The Vows of the Covenant

And the rest of the people, the priests, the Levites, the doorkeepers, the singers, the Nethinim, and all they that had separated themselves from the peoples of the lands to the law of God, their wives, their sons and their daughters, every one having knowledge [and] having understanding,

Остальной народ — священники, левиты, привратники, певцы, служители храма и все люди Израиля, которые отделились от народов, живших вокруг них. Они отделились, чтобы подчиниться закону Божьему. И также все их жёны, все их сыновья и дочери, которые могли слушать и понимать.

joined with their brethren, their nobles, and entered into a curse and into an oath, to walk in the law of God, which had been given by Moses the servant of God, and to keep and do all the commandments of Jehovah our Lord, and his ordinances and his statutes;

Все эти люди присоединились к своим братьям и к знатным людям, чтобы принять обещание подчиняться закону Бога, который Он дал нам через Своего слугу Моисея. Эти люди обещали тщательно подчиняться всем указам, правилам и заветам Господа, Бога нашего. И они приняли клятву, обещавшую им несчастья, если они не подчинятся закону Бога:

and that we would not give our daughters to the peoples of the land, nor take their daughters for our sons:

"Мы обещаем не позволять нашим дочерям выходить замуж за мужчин, не принадлежащих к нашему народу. И мы обещаем не позволять нашим сыновьям жениться на их дочерях.

and that if the peoples of the land brought wares or any grain on the sabbath day to sell, we would not take it of them on the sabbath, or on [any] holy day; and that we would leave [the land uncultivated] the seventh year, and the exaction of every debt.

Мы обещаем не работать по субботам. Если народы, живущие вокруг нас, принесут зерно или другие вещи, чтобы продавать в субботу, мы не будем покупать эти вещив этот особый день или в любой другой праздник. Каждый седьмой год мы не будем сеять или обрабатывать землю. И каждый седьмой год мы будем прощать все долги людей, которые должны нам.

And we made ordinances for us, to charge ourselves yearly with the third part of a shekel for the service of the house of our God,

Мы обязуемся подчиняться заветам, следить за храмом Божьим. Мы будем давать по одной третьей сикля каждый год, чтобы поддерживать службу храма в честь нашего Бога.

for the bread to be set in rows, and for the continual oblation, and for the continual burnt-offering, [for that] of the sabbaths [and] of the new moons, for the set feasts and for the holy [things], and for the sin-offerings to make an atonement for Israel, and [for] all the work of the house of our God.

Эти деньги пойдут на оплату особого хлеба, который священники кладут на стол в храме. Они пойдут на оплату ежедневных хлебных приношений и всесожжении. Они пойдут на оплату приношений в субботы, на праздники нового месяца и на другие особые собрания. Они пойдут на оплату святых приношений и приношений греха, которые очищают народ Израиля. Они пойдут на оплату любой работы, необходимой в храме нашего Бога.

And we cast the lots among the priests, the Levites, and the people, for the wood-offering, to bring [it] into the house of our God, according to our fathers' houses, at times appointed year by year, to burn upon the altar of Jehovah our God, as it is written in the law;

Мы, священники, левиты и народ, бросили жребий, чтобы решить, когда каждый год в определённое время каждая из наших семей должна принести дрова в дар храму нашего Бога, чтобы они горели на алтаре Господа, Бога нашего. Мы должны делать это, как написано в законе.

and to bring the first-fruits of our land, and the first-fruits of all fruit of all trees, year by year to the house of Jehovah,

Мы также обязуемся приносить первые плоды нашего урожая с каждого фруктового дерева. Мы будем каждый год приносить это в храм Господа.

and the firstborn of our sons and of our cattle, as it is written in the law; and to bring the firstlings of our herds and of our flocks to the house of our God, to the priests that minister in the house of our God;

И, как написано в законе, мы будем приводить в храм нашего Боганаших первенцев сыновей и первородное от коров, овец и коз. Мы приведём их к священникам, которые служат там.

and that we should bring the first-fruits of our coarse meal and our heave-offerings, and the fruit of all manner of trees, new wine and oil, to the priests, into the chambers of the house of our God, and the tithes of our ground to the Levites, that they, the Levites, should take the tithes in all the cities of our tillage.

Мы также принесём священникам в кладовые храма Господа первое из нашей молотой пищи, первое из наших хлебных приношений, первые плоды со всех наших деревьеви первую часть нашего нового вина и масла. И мы отдадим десятую часть нашего урожая левитам, потому что во всех городах, где мы работаем, левиты будут получать это от нас.

And the priest the son of Aaron shall be with the Levites, when the Levites take tithes; and the Levites shall bring up the tithe of the tithes to the house of our God, into the chambers of the treasure-house.

Священник из семьи Аарона должен быть с левитами в то время, когда они получают эти запасы. Затем левиты должны принести всё это в храм нашего Богаи положить в кладовые сокровищ храма.

39

For the children of Israel and the children of Levi shall bring the heave-offering of the corn, of the new wine and the oil, into the chambers, where are the vessels of the sanctuary, and the priests that minister, and the doorkeepers and the singers. And we will not forsake the house of our God.

39

Народ Израиля и левиты должны приносить свои дары в кладовые. Они должны приносить в дар зерно, новое вино и масло. Все вещи для храма должны храниться в этих кладовых. И священники должны стоять там на дежурстве. Там также должны стоять певцы и привратники. Мы все обещаем, что будем заботиться о храме Бога нашего!"
