Therefore they called these days Purim after the name of Pur. Therefore, according to all the words of this letter, and for what they had seen concerning this matter and what had happened to them,

Wherefore they called these days Purim after the name of Pur. Therefore for all the words of this letter, and of that which they had seen concerning this matter, and which had come unto them,

That is why this celebration is called Purim, because it is the ancient word for casting lots.
So because of Mordecai’s letter and because of what they had experienced, -
Потому и назвали эти дни Пурим, от имени: пур. Поэтому, согласно со всеми словами сего письма и с тем, что сами видели и до чего доходило у них,

Ось чому названо ці дні Пурім, від імени пур. Отак, згідно з усіма словами цього листа й з тим, що самі бачили й що з ними сталось,

Тому́ то й назвали ці дні: Пурі́м, від імени „пур“. Тому то згідно зо всіма́ словами цього листа, і що вони бачили про це й що тра́пилося з ними,

(Так эти дни были названы Пурим, от слова «пур».) Из-за этого письма и из-за того, что они сами видели, и что с ними произошло,

Тому названо ці дні Фрури [1] , через жереби, бо їхньою мовою вони звуться Фрури, через слова цього послання і те, що через це вони потерпіли, і те, що їм сталося.
