Darby Bible Translation

New Living Translation

  • I Will Sing of Loving Kindness and Justice

{A Psalm of David.} I will sing of loving-kindness and judgment: unto thee, Jehovah, will I sing psalms.
  • A psalm of David.

I will sing of your love and justice, LORD.
I will praise you with songs.
  • I will behave myself wisely in a perfect way. When wilt thou come unto me? I will walk within my house in the integrity of my heart.
  • I will be careful to live a blameless life —
when will you come to help me?
I will lead a life of integrity
    in my own home.
  • I will set no thing of Belial before mine eyes: I hate the work of them that turn aside; it shall not cleave to me.
  • I will refuse to look at
    anything vile and vulgar.
    I hate all who deal crookedly;
I will have nothing to do with them.
  • A perverse heart shall depart from me; I will not know evil.
  • I will reject perverse ideas
and stay away from every evil.
  • Whoso secretly slandereth his neighbour, him will I destroy; him that hath a high look and a proud heart will I not suffer.
  • I will not tolerate people who slander their neighbors.
I will not endure conceit and pride.
  • Mine eyes shall be upon the faithful of the land, that they may dwell with me; he that walketh in a perfect way, he shall serve me.
  • I will search for faithful people
    to be my companions.
Only those who are above reproach
will be allowed to serve me.
  • He that practiseth deceit shall not dwell within my house; he that speaketh falsehoods shall not subsist in my sight.
  • I will not allow deceivers to serve in my house,
and liars will not stay in my presence.
  • Every morning will I destroy all the wicked of the land: to cut off all workers of iniquity from the city of Jehovah.
  • My daily task will be to ferret out the wicked
and free the city of the LORD from their grip.
