Благослови, душе моя, Господа! Господи, Боже мій, Ти ве́льми великий, зодягну́вся Ти в ве́лич та в славу!
Bless Jehovah, O my soul, and forget not all his benefits:
Зодягає Він світло, як ша́ти, небеса́ простягає, немов би заві́су.
Who forgiveth all thine iniquities, who healeth all thy diseases;
Він ставить на во́дах пала́ти Свої, хма́ри кладе за Свої колесни́ці, ходить на кри́лах вітро́вих!
Who redeemeth thy life from the pit, who crowneth thee with loving-kindness and tender mercies;
Він чинить вітри́ за Своїх посланці́в, палю́чий огонь — за Своїх слуг.
Who satisfieth thine old age with good [things]; thy youth is renewed like the eagle's.
Землю Ти вгрунтува́в на осно́вах її, щоб на вічні віки вона не захита́лась,
Jehovah executeth righteousness and justice for all that are oppressed.
безо́днею вкрив Ти її, немов шатою. Стала вода над гора́ми, —
He made known his ways unto Moses, his acts unto the children of Israel.
від погро́зи Твоєї вона втекла́, від гу́ркоту грому Твого побігла вона, —
Jehovah is merciful and gracious, slow to anger, and abundant in loving-kindness.
виходить на го́ри та схо́дить в доли́ни, на місце, що Ти встанови́в був для неї.
He will not always chide, neither will he keep [his anger] for ever.
Ти границю поклав, щоб її вона не перейшла́, щоб вона не верну́лася землю покрити.
He hath not dealt with us according to our sins, nor rewarded us according to our iniquities.
Він джере́ла пускає в пото́ки, що пливуть між гора́ми,
For as the heavens are high above the earth, so great is his loving-kindness toward them that fear him.
напува́ють вони всю пільну́ звірину́, ними дикі осли́ гасять спра́гу свою.
As far as the east is from the west, so far hath he removed our transgressions from us.
Птаство небесне над ними живе, видає воно голос з-посе́ред галу́зок.
As a father pitieth [his] children, so Jehovah pitieth them that fear him.
Він напоює горн з пала́ців Своїх, із плоду чи́нів Твоїх земля си́титься.
For himself knoweth our frame; he remembereth that we are dust.
Траву для худоби виро́щує, та зелени́ну для праці люди́ні, щоб хліб добува́ти з землі,
As for man, his days are as grass; as a flower of the field, so he flourisheth:
і вино, що серце люди́ні воно звеселя́є, щоб більш від оливи блищало обличчя, і хліб, що серце люди́ні зміцня́є.
For the wind passeth over it, and it is gone, and the place thereof knoweth it no more.
Насичуються Господні дере́ва, ті ке́дри лива́нські, що Ти насади́в,
But the loving-kindness of Jehovah is from everlasting and to everlasting, upon them that fear him, and his righteousness unto children's children,
що там ку́бляться пта́хи, бузько́, — кипари́си мешка́ння його.
To such as keep his covenant and to those that remember his precepts to do them.
Го́ри високі — для диких кози́ць, скелі — схо́вище ске́льним звіри́нам.
Jehovah hath established his throne in the heavens, and his kingdom ruleth over all.
і місяця Він учинив для озна́чення ча́су, сонце знає свій за́хід.
Bless Jehovah, ye his angels, mighty in strength, that execute his word, hearkening unto the voice of his word.
Темноту́ Ти наво́диш — і ніч настає, в ній пору́шується вся звіри́на лісна́, —
Bless Jehovah, all ye his hosts; ye ministers of his that do his will.
рича́ть левчуки́ за здоби́чею та шукають від Бога своєї пожи́ви.
