Псалом Давида. Благослови, душе моя, Господа! Господи, Боже мій, Ти надзвичайно величний! У славу й велич одягнувся Ти.
Bless Jehovah, O my soul, and forget not all his benefits:
Ти одягаєшся у світло, як в одяг, і простягаєш небо, наче намет.
Who forgiveth all thine iniquities, who healeth all thy diseases;
Ти покриваєш водами Свої горішні покої, робиш хмари Своїми сходинками, ходиш на крилах вітрів.
Who redeemeth thy life from the pit, who crowneth thee with loving-kindness and tender mercies;
Ти робиш духів Своїми ангелами, а палаючий вогонь — Своїми слугами.
Who satisfieth thine old age with good [things]; thy youth is renewed like the eagle's.
Ти заснував землю на її основі, — вона не захитається навіки-віків.
Jehovah executeth righteousness and justice for all that are oppressed.
Безодня, мов плащ, покриває її, на горах зберуться води.
He made known his ways unto Moses, his acts unto the children of Israel.
Від Твоєї погрози вони втечуть, — перелякаються від звуку Твого грому.
Jehovah is merciful and gracious, slow to anger, and abundant in loving-kindness.
Підіймаються гори і опускаються рівнини — на місце, яке Ти визначив для них.
He will not always chide, neither will he keep [his anger] for ever.
Ти встановив межу, яку вони не перейдуть, і не повернуться, щоби покрити землю.
He hath not dealt with us according to our sins, nor rewarded us according to our iniquities.
Ти посилаєш джерела в долини, — і між горами протікатимуть води.
For as the heavens are high above the earth, so great is his loving-kindness toward them that fear him.
Вони напувають усіх звірів землі, — дикі осли тамуватимуть свою спрагу.
As far as the east is from the west, so far hath he removed our transgressions from us.
Над ними поселяться небесні птахи, — з-поміж скель подаватимуть голос.
As a father pitieth [his] children, so Jehovah pitieth them that fear him.
Ти зі Своїх горішніх покоїв напуваєш гори; плодами Твоїх діл насититься земля.
For himself knoweth our frame; he remembereth that we are dust.
Ти вирощуєш траву для худоби й зелень на благо людини, щоби земля давала хліб:
As for man, his days are as grass; as a flower of the field, so he flourisheth:
тож вино звеселяє серце людини, — вона [намащує] обличчя олією, а хліб зміцнює серце людини.
For the wind passeth over it, and it is gone, and the place thereof knoweth it no more.
Дерева в полі наситяться — ліванські кедри, що Ти насадив.
But the loving-kindness of Jehovah is from everlasting and to everlasting, upon them that fear him, and his righteousness unto children's children,
Там пташки будуть гніздитися, і журавлине гніздо — високо над ними.
To such as keep his covenant and to those that remember his precepts to do them.
Високі гори — для оленів, скелі — сховище для зайців.
Jehovah hath established his throne in the heavens, and his kingdom ruleth over all.
Ти створив місяць, щоб визначати час, — і сонце знає, коли йому зайти.
Bless Jehovah, ye his angels, mighty in strength, that execute his word, hearkening unto the voice of his word.
Ти навів темряву, — і настала ніч, а в ній виходять усі лісові звірі.
Bless Jehovah, all ye his hosts; ye ministers of his that do his will.
Молоді леви ричать, щоби знайти здобич, — щоби добути в Бога для себе поживи.
