Для дириґента хору. Псалом Давидів. Боже слави моєї, не будь мовчазли́вий,
Awake, lute and harp: I will wake the dawn.
бо мої вороги́ порозкрива́ли на мене уста́ нечести́ві та пе́льки лукаві, язиком неправди́вим говорять зо мною!
I will give thee thanks among the peoples, O Jehovah; of thee will I sing psalms among the nations:
І вони оточили мене словами нена́висти, і без причини на мене воюють,
For thy loving-kindness is great above the heavens, and thy truth is unto the clouds.
обмовля́ють мене за любов мою, а я — молюся за них,
Be thou exalted above the heavens, O God, and thy glory above all the earth.
вони віддають мені злом за добро, і не́навистю — за любов мою!
That thy beloved ones may be delivered: save with thy right hand, and answer me.
Постав же над ним нечестивого, і по правиці його сатана́ нехай стане!
God hath spoken in his holiness: I will exult, I will divide Shechem, and mete out the valley of Succoth.
Як буде суди́тись — нехай вийде винним, молитва ж його бодай стала гріхом!
Gilead is mine, Manasseh is mine, and Ephraim is the strength of my head; Judah is my law-giver;
Нехай дні його будуть коро́ткі, хай інший маєток його забере́!
Moab is my wash-pot; upon Edom will I cast my sandal; over Philistia will I shout aloud.
Бодай діти його стали си́ротами, а жінка його — удовою!
Who will bring me into the strong city? who will lead me unto Edom?
І хай діти його все мандру́ють та же́брають, і нехай вони просять у тих, хто їх руйнував!
[Wilt] not [thou], O God, who didst cast us off? and didst not go forth, O God, with our armies?
Бодай їм тене́та розставив лихва́р на все, що його, і нехай розграбу́ють чужі його працю!
Give us help from trouble; for vain is man's deliverance.
Щоб до нього ніхто милосердя не виявив, і бодай не було його си́ротам милости!
