Darby Bible Translation

New King James Version

  • The Lord Exalts the Humble

Hallelujah! Praise, ye servants of Jehovah, praise the name of Jehovah.
  • The Majesty and Condescension of God

    Praise[a] the Lord!
Praise, O servants of the Lord,
Praise the name of the Lord!
  • Blessed be the name of Jehovah, from this time forth and for evermore!
  • Blessed be the name of the Lord
From this time forth and forevermore!
  • From the rising of the sun unto the going down of the same, let Jehovah's name be praised.
  • From the rising of the sun to its going down
The Lord’s name is to be praised.
  • Jehovah is high above all nations, his glory above the heavens.
  • The Lord is high above all nations,
    His glory above the heavens.
  • Who is like unto Jehovah our God, who hath placed his dwelling on high;
  • Who is like the Lord our God,
    Who dwells on high,
  • Who humbleth himself to look on the heavens and on the earth?
  • Who humbles Himself to behold
The things that are in the heavens and in the earth?
  • He raiseth up the poor out of the dust; from the dung-hill he lifteth up the needy,
  • He raises the poor out of the dust,
And lifts the needy out of the ash heap,
  • To set [him] among nobles, among the nobles of his people.
  • That He may seat him with princes —
With the princes of His people.
  • He maketh the barren woman to keep house, [as] a joyful mother of sons. Hallelujah!
  • He grants the [b]barren woman a home,
Like a joyful mother of children.
    Praise the Lord!
