Darby Bible Translation

New King James Version

  • I Will Lift Up My Eyes to the Hills

    {A Song of degrees.} I lift up mine eyes unto the mountains: whence shall my help come?
  • God the Help of Those Who Seek Him

    A Song of Ascents.

    I will lift up my eyes to the hills —
    From whence comes my help?
  • My help [cometh] from Jehovah, who made the heavens and the earth.
  • My help comes from the Lord,
    Who made heaven and earth.
  • He will not suffer thy foot to be moved; he that keepeth thee will not slumber.
  • He will not allow your foot to [a]be moved;
    He who keeps you will not slumber.
  • Behold, he that keepeth Israel will neither slumber nor sleep.
  • Behold, He who keeps Israel
    Shall neither slumber nor sleep.
  • Jehovah is thy keeper, Jehovah is thy shade upon thy right hand;
  • The Lord is your [b]keeper;
    The Lord is your shade at your right hand.
  • The sun shall not smite thee by day, nor the moon by night.
  • The sun shall not strike you by day,
    Nor the moon by night.
  • Jehovah will keep thee from all evil; he will keep thy soul.
  • The Lord shall [c]preserve you from all evil;
    He shall preserve your soul.
  • Jehovah will keep thy going out and thy coming in, from henceforth and for evermore.
  • The Lord shall preserve[d] your going out and your coming in
    From this time forth, and even forevermore.
