Darby Bible Translation

New King James Version

  • Practicing the Presence of God

    {Michtam of David.} Preserve me, O God: for I trust in thee.
  • The Hope of the Faithful, and the Messiah’s Victory

    A Michtam of David.

    Preserve[a] me, O God, for in You I put my trust.
  • Thou [my soul] hast said to Jehovah, Thou art the Lord: my goodness [extendeth] not to thee; --
  • O my soul, you have said to the Lord,
    “You are my Lord,
    My goodness is nothing apart from You.”
  • To the saints that are on the earth, and to the excellent [thou hast said], In them is all my delight.
  • As for the saints who are on the earth,
    “They are the excellent ones, in whom is all my delight.”
  • Their sorrows shall be multiplied that hasten after another: their drink-offerings of blood will I not offer, and I will not take up their names into my lips.
  • Their sorrows shall be multiplied who hasten after another god;
    Their drink offerings of blood I will not offer,
    Nor take up their names on my lips.
  • Jehovah is the portion of mine inheritance and of my cup: thou maintainest my lot.
  • O Lord, You are the portion of my inheritance and my cup;
    You [b]maintain my lot.
  • The lines are fallen unto me in pleasant places; yea, I have a goodly heritage.
  • The lines have fallen to me in pleasant places;
    Yes, I have a good inheritance.
  • I will bless Jehovah, who giveth me counsel; even in the nights my reins instruct me.
  • I will bless the Lord who has given me counsel;
    My [c]heart also instructs me in the night seasons.
  • I have set Jehovah continually before me; because [he is] at my right hand, I shall not be moved.
  • I have set the Lord always before me;
    Because He is at my right hand I shall not be moved.
  • Therefore my heart rejoiceth, and my glory exulteth; my flesh moreover shall dwell in hope.
  • Therefore my heart is glad, and my glory rejoices;
    My flesh also will [d]rest in hope.
  • For thou wilt not leave my soul to Sheol, neither wilt thou allow thy Holy One to see corruption.
  • For You will not leave my soul in [e]Sheol,
    Nor will You allow Your Holy One to [f]see corruption.
  • Thou wilt make known to me the path of life: thy countenance is fulness of joy; at thy right hand are pleasures for evermore.
  • You will show me the path of life;
    In Your presence is fullness of joy;
    At Your right hand are pleasures forevermore.
