    {To the chief Musician. A Psalm of David.} Jehovah answer thee in the day of trouble; the name of the God of Jacob protect thee;
  • The Assurance of God’s Saving Work

    To the Chief Musician. A Psalm of David.

    May the Lord answer you in the day of trouble;
    May the name of the God of Jacob [a]defend you;
  • May he send thee help from the sanctuary, and strengthen thee out of Zion;
  • May He send you help from the sanctuary,
    And strengthen you out of Zion;
  • Remember all thine oblations, and accept thy burnt-offering; Selah.
  • May He remember all your offerings,
    And accept your burnt sacrifice. Selah
  • Grant thee according to thy heart, and fulfil all thy counsels.
  • May He grant you according to your heart’s desire,
    And fulfill all your [b]purpose.
  • We will triumph in thy salvation, and in the name of our God will we set up our banners. Jehovah fulfil all thy petitions!
  • We will rejoice in your salvation,
    And in the name of our God we will set up our banners!
    May the Lord fulfill all your petitions.
  • Now know I that Jehovah saveth his anointed; he answereth him from the heavens of his holiness, with the saving strength of his right hand.

  • Some make mention of chariots, and some of horses, but we of the name of Jehovah our God.
  • Some trust in chariots, and some in horses;
    But we will remember the name of the Lord our God.

  • Save, Jehovah! Let the king answer us in the day we call.
