{[A Psalm] of David.} Jehovah is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear? Jehovah is the strength of my life; of whom shall I be afraid?

Давидів. До Тебе я кли́чу, о Господи ске́ле моя, — не будь же безмо́вним до мене, — бо коли Ти замо́вкнеш до мене, я стану подібний до тих, що сходять до гро́бу.
When evil-doers, mine adversaries and mine enemies, came upon me to eat up my flesh, they stumbled and fell.
Почуй голос блага́ння мого, як я кли́чу до Тебе, коли руки свої я підно́шу до храму святого Твого́!
If a host encamp against me, my heart shall not fear; if war rise against me, in this will I be confident.
Не хапай мене з грішними й тими, хто чинить безпра́вство, хто плете́ своїм ближнім про мир, — але зло в їхнім серці!
One [thing] have I asked of Jehovah, that will I seek after: that I may dwell in the house of Jehovah all the days of my life, to behold the beauty of Jehovah, and to inquire [of him] in his temple.
Віддай їм за їхнім учинком, і за злом їхніх учинків, згідно з ді́лом їхні́х рук Ти їм дай, верни їм заслу́жене ними,
For in the day of evil he will hide me in his pavilion; in the secret of his tent will he keep me concealed: he will set me high upon a rock.
бо вони не вдивля́ються в чинність Господню й діла́ Його рук, — нехай їх поруйнує, й нехай не будує Він їх!
And now shall my head be lifted up above mine enemies round about me; and I will offer in his tent sacrifices of shouts of joy: I will sing, yea, I will sing psalms unto Jehovah.
Благослове́нний Господь, — бо Він почув голос блага́ння мого!
Hear, Jehovah; with my voice do I call; be gracious unto me, and answer me.
Госпо́дь моя сила та щит мій, на нього наді́ялось серце моє, — й Він мені допоміг, і вті́шилося моє серце, і співом своїм я прославлю Його́!
My heart said for thee, Seek ye my face. Thy face, O Jehovah, will I seek.
Господь сила наро́ду Свого́, і за́хист спасі́ння Свого пома́занця!
