I was dumb with silence, I held my peace from good; and my sorrow was stirred.
Твёрдо уповал я на Господа, и Он приклонился ко мне и услышал вопль мой;
My heart burned within me; the fire was kindled in my musing: I spoke with my tongue,
извлёк меня из страшного рва, из тинистого болота, и поставил на камне ноги мои и утвердил стопы мои;
Make me to know, Jehovah, mine end, and the measure of my days, what it is: I shall know how frail I am.
и вложил в уста мои новую песнь — хвалу Богу нашему. Увидят многие и убоятся и будут уповать на Господа.
Behold, thou hast made my days [as] hand-breadths, and my lifetime is as nothing before thee; verily, every man, [even] the high placed, is altogether vanity. Selah.
Блажен человек, который на Господа возлагает надежду свою и не обращается к гордым и к уклоняющимся ко лжи.
Verily, man walketh in a vain show; verily they are disquieted in vain; he heapeth up [riches], and knoweth not who shall gather them.
Много соделал Ты, Господи, Боже мой: о чудесах и помышлениях Твоих о нас — кто уподобится Тебе! — хотел бы я проповедовать и говорить, но они превышают число.
And now, what wait I for, Lord? my hope is in thee.
Жертвы и приношения Ты не восхотел; Ты открыл мне уши; всесожжения и жертвы за грех Ты не потребовал.
Deliver me from all my transgressions; make me not the reproach of the foolish.
Тогда я сказал: вот, иду; в свитке книжном написано о мне:
I was dumb, I opened not my mouth; for *thou* hast done [it].
я желаю исполнить волю Твою, Боже мой, и закон Твой у меня в сердце.
Remove thy stroke away from me: I am consumed by the blow of thy hand.
Я возвещал правду Твою в собрании великом; я не возбранял устам моим: Ты, Господи, знаешь.
When thou with rebukes dost correct a man for iniquity, thou makest his beauty to consume away like a moth: surely, every man is vanity. Selah.
Правды Твоей не скрывал в сердце моём, возвещал верность Твою и спасение Твоё, не утаивал милости Твоей и истины Твоей пред собранием великим.
Hear my prayer, Jehovah, and give ear unto my cry; be not silent at my tears: for I am a stranger with thee, a sojourner, like all my fathers.
Не удерживай, Господи, щедрот Твоих от меня; милость Твоя и истина Твоя да охраняют меня непрестанно,
