Darby Bible Translation

English Standard Version

  • Tried But Trusting

    {A Prayer of David.} Incline thine ear, Jehovah, answer me; for I am afflicted and needy.
  • Great Is Your Steadfast Love

    A Prayer of David.

    Incline your ear, O Lord, and answer me,
    for I am poor and needy.
  • Keep my soul, for I am godly; O thou my God, save thy servant who confideth in thee.
  • Preserve my life, for I am godly;
    save your servant, who trusts in you — you are my God.
  • Be gracious unto me, O Lord; for unto thee do I call all the day.
  • Be gracious to me, O Lord,
    for to you do I cry all the day.
  • Rejoice the soul of thy servant; for unto thee, Lord, do I lift up my soul.
  • Gladden the soul of your servant,
    for to you, O Lord, do I lift up my soul.
  • For thou, Lord, art good, and ready to forgive, and art of great loving-kindness unto all that call upon thee.
  • For you, O Lord, are good and forgiving,
    abounding in steadfast love to all who call upon you.
  • Give ear, O Jehovah, unto my prayer, and attend to the voice of my supplications.
  • Give ear, O Lord, to my prayer;
    listen to my plea for grace.
  • In the day of my distress I will call upon thee, for thou wilt answer me.
  • In the day of my trouble I call upon you,
    for you answer me.
  • Among the gods there is none like unto thee, Lord, and there is nothing like unto thy works.
  • There is none like you among the gods, O Lord,
    nor are there any works like yours.
  • All nations whom thou hast made shall come and worship before thee, O Lord, and shall glorify thy name.
  • All the nations you have made shall come
    and worship before you, O Lord,
    and shall glorify your name.
  • For thou art great, and doest wondrous things: thou art God, thou alone.
  • For you are great and do wondrous things;
    you alone are God.
  • Teach me thy way, Jehovah; I will walk in thy truth: unite my heart to fear thy name.
  • Teach me your way, O Lord,
    that I may walk in your truth;
    unite my heart to fear your name.
  • I will praise thee, O Lord my God, with my whole heart; and I will glorify thy name for evermore.
  • I give thanks to you, O Lord my God, with my whole heart,
    and I will glorify your name forever.
  • For great is thy loving-kindness toward me, and thou hast delivered my soul from the lowest Sheol.
  • For great is your steadfast love toward me;
    you have delivered my soul from the depths of Sheol.
  • O God, the proud are risen against me, and the assembly of the violent seek after my soul, and they have not set thee before them.
  • O God, insolent men have risen up against me;
    a band of ruthless men seeks my life,
    and they do not set you before them.
  • But thou, Lord, art a God merciful and gracious, slow to anger, and abundant in goodness and truth.
  • But you, O Lord, are a God merciful and gracious,
    slow to anger and abounding in steadfast love and faithfulness.
  • Turn toward me, and be gracious unto me; give thy strength unto thy servant, and save the son of thine handmaid.
  • Turn to me and be gracious to me;
    give your strength to your servant,
    and save the son of your maidservant.
  • Shew me a token for good, that they which hate me may see it, and be ashamed; for thou, Jehovah, hast helped me and comforted me.
  • Show me a sign of your favor,
    that those who hate me may see and be put to shame
    because you, Lord, have helped me and comforted me.
