Lord, You Have Been Our Dwelling Place
{A Prayer of Moses, the man of God.} Lord, *thou* hast been our dwelling-place in all generations.

Хто живе під покровом Всевишнього, хто в тіні́ Всемогутнього мешкає,
Before the mountains were brought forth, and thou hadst formed the earth and the world, even from eternity to eternity thou art God.
той скаже до Господа: „Охоро́но моя та тверди́не моя, Боже мій“, — я наді́юсь на Нього!
Thou makest [mortal] man to return to dust, and sayest, Return, children of men.
Бо Він тебе вирве з тене́т птахоло́ва, з морови́ці згубно́ї,
For a thousand years, in thy sight, are as yesterday when it is past, and [as] a watch in the night.
Він перо́м Своїм вкриє тебе, і під кри́льми Його заховаєшся ти! Щит та лук — Його правда.
Thou carriest them away as with a flood; they are [as] a sleep: in the morning they are like grass [that] groweth up:
Не будеш боятися стра́ху нічно́го, ані стріли, що вдень пролітає,
In the morning it flourisheth and groweth up; in the evening it is cut down and withereth.
ані зарази, що в те́мряві ходить, ані морови́ці, що нищить опі́вдні, —
For we are consumed by thine anger, and by thy fury are we troubled.
впаде тисяча з боку від тебе, і десять тисяч право́руч від тебе, до тебе ж не ді́йде!
Thou hast set our iniquities before thee, our secret [sins] in the light of thy countenance.
Тільки своїми очима поди́вишся, — і заплату безбожним попобачиш,
For all our days pass away in thy wrath: we spend our years as a [passing] thought.
бо Господа, охорону мою, Всевишнього ти учини́в за своє пристано́вище!
The days of our years are threescore years and ten; and if, by reason of strength, they be fourscore years, yet their pride is labour and vanity, for it is soon cut off, and we fly away.
Тебе зло не спітка́є, і до наме́ту твого вдар не набли́зиться,
Who knoweth the power of thine anger? and thy wrath according to the fear of thee?
бо Своїм Ангола́м Він накаже про тебе, щоб тебе пильнували на всіх дорогах твоїх, —
So teach [us] to number our days, that we may acquire a wise heart.
на руках вони будуть носити тебе, щоб не вдарив об камінь своєї ноги́!
Return, Jehovah: how long? and let it repent thee concerning thy servants.
На лева й вужа́ ти наступиш, левчука́ й крокодила ти будеш топта́ти!
Satisfy us early with thy loving-kindness; that we may sing for joy and be glad all our days.
„Що бажав він Мене, то його збережу́, зроблю́ його сильним, — бо знає Ім'я́ Моє він;
Make us glad according to the days [wherein] thou hast afflicted us, according to the years [wherein] we have seen evil.
як він Мене кли́катиме, то йому відповім, Я з ним буду в недолі, врятую його та просла́влю його,
