Darby Bible Translation

New Living Translation

  • Shout Aloud to the Rock of Our Salvation!

    Come, let us sing aloud to Jehovah, let us shout for joy to the rock of our salvation;
  • Come, let us sing to the LORD!
    Let us shout joyfully to the Rock of our salvation.
  • Let us come before his face with thanksgiving; let us shout aloud unto him with psalms.
  • Let us come to him with thanksgiving.
    Let us sing psalms of praise to him.
  • For Jehovah is a great God, and a great king above all gods.
  • For the LORD is a great God,
    a great King above all gods.
  • In his hand are the deep places of the earth; the heights of the mountains are his also:
  • He holds in his hands the depths of the earth
    and the mightiest mountains.
  • The sea is his, and he made it, and his hands formed the dry [land].
  • The sea belongs to him, for he made it.
    His hands formed the dry land, too.
  • Come, let us worship and bow down; let us kneel before Jehovah our Maker.
  • Come, let us worship and bow down.
    Let us kneel before the LORD our maker,
  • For he is our God; and we are the people of his pasture and the sheep of his hand. To-day if ye hear his voice,
  • for he is our God.
    We are the people he watches over,
    the flock under his care.
    If only you would listen to his voice today!
  • Harden not your heart, as at Meribah, as [in] the day of Massah, in the wilderness;
  • The LORD says, “Don’t harden your hearts as Israel did at Meribah,
    as they did at Massah in the wilderness.
  • When your fathers tempted me, proved me, and saw my work.
  • For there your ancestors tested and tried my patience,
    even though they saw everything I did.
  • Forty years was I grieved with the generation, and said, It is a people that do err in their heart, and they have not known my ways;
  • For forty years I was angry with them, and I said,
    ‘They are a people whose hearts turn away from me.
    They refuse to do what I tell them.’
  • So that I swore in mine anger, that they should not enter into my rest.
  • So in my anger I took an oath:
    ‘They will never enter my place of rest.’”
