I am Jehovah thy God, who have brought thee out of the land of Egypt, out of the house of bondage.
„Я — Господь, Бог твій, що вивів тебе з єгипетського кра́ю з дому ра́бства.
Thou shalt not make thyself any graven image, or any form of what is in the heavens above, or what is in the earth beneath, or what is in the waters under the earth:
Не роби собі різьби́ і всякої подо́би з того, що на небі вгорі́, і що на землі до́лі, і що в воді під землею.
thou shalt not bow down thyself to them, nor serve them; for I, Jehovah thy God, am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the sons to the third and to the fourth [generation] of them that hate me,
Не вклоняйся їм і не служи їм, бо Я — Господь, Бог твій, Бог ревнивий, що карає за прови́ну батьків на синах, на третіх і на четвертих поколі́ннях тих, хто нена́видить Мене,
and shewing mercy unto thousands of them that love me and keep my commandments.
і що чинить милість тисячам поколінь тих, хто любить Мене, і хто держиться Моїх за́повідей.
Thou shalt not idly utter the name of Jehovah thy God; for Jehovah will not hold him guiltless that idly uttereth his name.
Не призивай Іме́ння Господа, Бога твого, надаре́мно, бо не помилує Господь того, хто призиватиме Його Йме́ння надаре́мно.
but the seventh day is the sabbath of Jehovah thy God: thou shalt not do any work, thou, nor thy son, nor thy daughter, thy bondman, nor thy handmaid, nor thy cattle, nor thy stranger that is within thy gates.
а день сьомий — субо́та для Господа, Бога твого: не роби жодної праці ти й син твій, та дочка́ твоя, раб твій та неві́льниця твоя, і худоба твоя, і прихо́дько твій, що в брамах твоїх.
For in six days Jehovah made the heavens and the earth, the sea, and all that is in them, and rested on the seventh day; therefore Jehovah blessed the sabbath day, and hallowed it.
Бо шість день творив Господь небо та землю, море та все, що в них, а дня сьомого спочив, тому́ поблагослови́в Господь день суботній і освятив його.
Honour thy father and thy mother, that thy days may be prolonged in the land that Jehovah thy God giveth thee.
Шануй свого батька та матір свою, щоб довгі були твої дні на землі, яку Господь, Бог твій, дає тобі!
Thou shalt not bear false witness against thy neighbour.
Не свідку́й неправдиво на свого бли́жнього!
Thou shalt not desire thy neighbour's house, thou shalt not desire thy neighbour's wife, nor his bondman, nor his handmaid, nor his ox, nor his ass, nor anything that is thy neighbour's.
Не жадай дому ближнього свого́, не жадай жони ближнього свого́, ані раба його, ані невільниці його, ані вола його, ані осла його, ані всього, що ближнього твого!“
Moses Comforts the People
And all the people saw the thunderings, and the flames, and the sound of the trumpet, and the mountain smoking; and when the people saw [it], they trembled, and stood afar off,

І ввесь народ бачив та чув гро́ми та по́лум'я, і голос сурми́, і го́ру димля́чу. І побачив народ, — і всі тремтіли та й поставали здале́ка.
and said to Moses, Speak thou with us, and we will hear; but let not God speak with us, lest we die.
І сказали вони до Мойсея: „Говори з нами ти, і ми послухаємо, а нехай не говорить із нами Бог, щоб ми не повмирали“.
And Moses said to the people, Fear not; for God is come to prove you, and that his fear may be before you, that ye sin not.
І промовив Мойсей до народу: „Не бійтеся, бо Бог прибув для ви́пробування вас, і щоб страх Його був на ваших обли́ччях, щоб ви не грішили“.
And the people stood afar off, and Moses drew near to the obscurity where God was.
І став народ здале́ка, а Мойсей підійшов до мо́року, де був Бог.
Idolatry Forbidden
And Jehovah said to Moses, Thus shalt thou say to the children of Israel: Ye have seen that I have spoken with you from the heavens.

І промовив Господь до Мойсея: „Отак скажеш до Ізраїлевих синів: Ви бачили, що Я говорив з вами з небе́с.
Ye shall not make beside me gods of silver, and ye shall not make to you gods of gold.
Не будете робити при Мені богів із срібла, і богів із золота не будете робити собі.
The Altar of Sacrifice
An altar of earth shalt thou make unto me, and shalt sacrifice on it thy burnt-offerings, and thy peace-offerings, thy sheep and thine oxen: in all places where I shall make my name to be remembered, I will come unto thee, and bless thee.

Ти зробиш для Мене же́ртівника з землі, і будеш прино́сити на ньому свої цілопа́лення й свої мирні жертви, і дрібну худобу свою, і велику худобу свою. На кожному місці, де Я згадаю Ймення Своє, Я до тебе прийду́ й поблагословлю́ тебе.
And if thou make me an altar of stone, thou shalt not build it of hewn stone; for if thou lift up thy sharp tool upon it, thou hast profaned it.
А коли зробиш Мені же́ртівника з каменів, то не будеш будувати його з обте́саних, бо ти підно́сив би над ним знаряддя своє, і занечи́стив би його́.
