Or if it be known that the ox have gored heretofore, and its owner have not kept him in, he shall in any case restore ox for ox; and the dead shall be his.

Or if it be known that the ox hath used to push in time past, and his owner hath not kept him in; he shall surely pay ox for ox; and the dead shall be his own.

Or if it was known that the ox tended to thrust in time past, and its owner has not kept it confined, he shall surely pay ox for ox, and the dead animal shall be his own.

а если известно было, что вол бодлив был и вчера и третьего дня, но хозяин его не стерёг его, то должен он заплатить вола за вола, а убитый будет его.

Або коли було знане раніше, що віл колеться, і не доглянув за ним господар, мусить віддати вола за вола, а мертве нехай йому буде.

Если же бык и раньше бодал другую скотину, то владелец в ответе за быка. Если его бык забодает другого быка, владелец виновен в том, что выпустил быка на свободу, и должен заплатить быком за быка: должен обменять своего быка на убитого.
