І промовив Господь до Мойсея: „Витеши собі дві кам'яні́ табли́ці, як перші, і Я напишу на цих табли́цях слова, що були на перших табли́цях, які ти розбив.
And be ready for the morning, and go up in the morning to mount Sinai, and stand there before me on the top of the mountain.
І приготовся на рано. І вийдеш рано вра́нці на го́ру Сіна́й, і станеш Мені там на верхі́в'ї гори́.
And let no man go up with thee, neither shall any man be seen on all the mountain; neither shall sheep and oxen feed in front of that mountain.
А з тобою ніхто не вийде, і на всій горі нехай нікого не бу́де видно. І також дрібна худоба й худоба велика нехай не пасеться навпроти тієї гори“.
And he hewed two tables of stone like the first; and Moses rose up early in the morning and went up to mount Sinai, as Jehovah had commanded him, and took in his hand the two tables of stone.
І витесав він дві кам'яні табли́ці, як перші. І встав Мойсей рано вранці, та й вийшов на го́ру Сіна́й, як Господь звелів був йому. І взяв він у руку свою дві табли́ці кам'яні́.
And Jehovah came down in the cloud, and stood beside him there, and proclaimed the name of Jehovah.
А Господь зійшов у хмарі, і став там із ним, та й покликав Ім'я́м Господа.
And Jehovah passed by before his face, and proclaimed, Jehovah, Jehovah God merciful and gracious, slow to anger, and abundant in goodness and truth,
І перейшов Господь перед лицем його, та й викликнув: „Господь, Господь, — Бог милосердний, і милости́вий, довготерпели́вий, і многомилости́вий та правдивий,
keeping mercy unto thousands, forgiving iniquity and transgression and sin, but by no means clearing [the guilty]; visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children, and upon the children's children, upon the third and upon the fourth [generation].
що дотри́мує милість для тисяч, що вибачає провину й переступ та гріх, та певне не вважає чистим винуватого, бо карає провину батькі́в на ді́тях, і на дітях діте́й, і на третіх, і на четвертих поколіннях“.
And Moses made haste, and bowed his head to the earth and worshipped,
І Мойсей поквапно вклонився до землі, і впав,
and said, If indeed I have found grace in thine eyes, Lord, let the Lord, I pray thee, go in our midst; for it is a stiff-necked people; and pardon our iniquity and our sin, and take us for an inheritance!
та й сказав: „Якщо я знайшов милість в очах Твоїх, Владико, то нехай же Владика йде серед нас, бо наро́д цей твердоши́їй. І Ти пробачиш нашу провину та наш гріх, і зробиш нас спа́дком Своїм“.
The Lord Renews the Covenant
And he said, Behold, I make a covenant: before all thy people I will do marvels that have not been done in all the earth, nor in any nation; and all the people in the midst of which thou [art] shall see the work of Jehovah; for a terrible thing it shall be that I will do with thee.

А Він відказав: „Ось Я складаю заповіта перед усім наро́дом твоїм. Я чинитиму чу́да, які не були́ тво́рені на всій землі і в жодного наро́ду. І побачить увесь народ, серед якого ти знаходишся, чин Господній, що Я чиню́ його з тобою, — який він страшни́й!
Observe what I command thee this day: behold, I will drive out before thee the Amorite, and the Canaanite, and the Hittite, and the Perizzite, and the Hivite, and the Jebusite.
Виконуй те, що Я наказую тобі сьогодні. Ось Я виганяю перед тобою амореянина, і ханаанеянина, і хіттеянина, і періззеянина, і хіввеянина, і євусеянина.
Take heed to thyself, that thou make no covenant with the inhabitants of the land to which thou shalt come, lest it be a snare in the midst of thee;
Стережися, щоб не склав ти умо́ви з мешканцем тієї землі, що ти входиш на неї, — щоб він не став па́сткою серед тебе.
but ye shall demolish their altars, shatter their statues, and hew down their Asherahs.
Бо ви їхні жертівники поруйнуєте, а їхні камінні стовпи́ для богів поторощите, а їхні дерева святі повиру́буєте.
For thou shalt worship no other God; for Jehovah -- Jealous is his name -- is a jealous God;
Бо не будеш ти кла́нятись богові іншому, бо Господь — ревнивий ім'я Його, Бог ревнивий Він!
lest thou make a covenant with the inhabitants of the land, and then, when they go a whoring after their gods, and sacrifice unto their gods, thou be invited, and eat of their sacrifice,
Щоб не склав ти умови з мешканцем кра́ю, як будуть вони любоді́яти вслід за богами своїми, і будуть богам своїм жертви прино́сити, то якщо він покличе тебе, то ти не будеш їсти із жертви його.
and thou take of their daughters unto thy sons, and their daughters go a whoring after their gods, and make thy sons go a whoring after their gods.
І не візьмеш із дочо́к його для синів своїх, бо будуть вони любоді́яти вслід за бога́ми своїми, і вчинять розпу́сниками синів твоїх вслід за богами своїми.
-- The feast of the unleavened bread shalt thou keep: seven days shalt thou eat unleavened bread, as I have commanded thee, at the appointed time of the month Abib; for in the month Abib thou camest out from Egypt.
Будеш вико́нувати свято Опрі́сноків. Сім день будеш їсти опрі́сноки, що Я наказав був тобі на умо́влений час місяця аві́ва, бо в місяці авіві ти вийшов з Єгипту.
-- All that openeth the womb [is] mine; and all the cattle that is born a male, the firstling of ox and sheep.
Усе, що відкриває утро́бу — то Моє, як і всяка твоя худоба, що є самець, відкриття утроби вола та вівці.
But the firstling of an ass thou shalt ransom with a lamb; and if thou ransom [it] not, then shalt thou break its neck. All the first-born of thy sons thou shalt ransom; and none shall appear before me empty.
А відкриття утроби осла викупиш ягня́м. А якщо його не викупиш, то заб'єш його, злама́вши шию. Кожного перворі́дного з синів твоїх ви́купиш. І не будуть являтися перед обличчя Моє з порожньою рукою.
-- Six days shalt thou work, but on the seventh day thou shalt rest; in ploughing time and in harvest thou shalt rest.
Шість день будеш працювати, а дня сьомого спочи́неш від праці; в о́рці й у жнива́ спочинеш від праці.
And thou shalt observe the feast of weeks, of the first-fruits of wheat-harvest, And the feast of ingathering at the turn of the year.
І свято тижнів зробиш собі, і первопло́ду жнив пшениці, і свято збору врожаю під кінець року.
Thrice in the year shall all thy males appear before the Lord Jehovah, the God of Israel.
Тричі в році вся чоловіча стать буде являтися перед лице Владики Господа, Бога Ізраїлевого.
For I will dispossess the nations before thee, and enlarge thy border, and no man shall desire thy land, when thou goest up to appear before the face of Jehovah thy God thrice in the year.
Бо Я ви́жену людей перед лицем твоїм, і розширю границю твою, і ніхто не запрагне твоєї землі, коли ти ходитимеш являтися перед лице Господа, Бога твого, тричі в році.
-- Thou shalt not offer the blood of my sacrifice with leaven; neither shall the sacrifice of the feast of the passover be left over night until the morning.
Не будеш прино́сити на ква́шенім крови жертви твоєї, і не переночує до рана святко́ва жертва Пасхи.
-- The first of the first-fruits of thy land shalt thou bring into the house of Jehovah thy God. Thou shalt not boil a kid in its mother's milk.
Поча́ток первопло́дів твоєї землі принесе́ш у дім Господа, Бога твого. Не будеш варити ягняти в молоці його матері“.
And Jehovah said to Moses, Write thee these words; for after the tenor of these words have I made a covenant with thee and with Israel.
І промовив Господь до Мойсея: „Напиши собі слова́, бо згідно з цими словами склав Я заповіта з тобою та з Ізраїлем“.
-- And he was there with Jehovah forty days and forty nights; he ate no bread, and drank no water. -- And he wrote on the tables the words of the covenant, the ten words.
І був він там з Господом сорок день і сорок ночей, хліба не їв і води не пив. І написав на табли́цях слова Заповіту, — Десять Заповідей.
The Radiant Face of Moses
And it came to pass, when Moses came down from mount Sinai -- and the two tables of testimony were in Moses' hand, when he came down from the mountain -- that Moses knew not that the skin of his face shone through his talking with him.

І сталося, коли схо́див Мойсей з гори Сіна́й, — а оби́дві табли́ці свідоцтва в Мойсеєвій руці при сході його з гори, — що Мойсей не знав, що лице його стало промені́ти, бо Бог говорив з ним.
And Aaron and all the children of Israel saw Moses, and behold, the skin of his face shone; and they were afraid to come near him.
І побачив Аарон та всі Ізраїлеві сини Мойсея, — аж ось лице його променіло, і вони боялися підійти до нього!
And Moses called to them; and they turned to him, -- Aaron and all the principal men of the assembly; and Moses talked with them.
І кликнув до них Мойсей, і зверну́лися до нього Аарон та всі начальники в громаді. І Мойсей говорив до них.
And afterwards, all the children of Israel came near; and he gave them in commandment all that Jehovah had spoken with him on mount Sinai.
А потім попідхо́дили всі Ізраїлеві сини, і він наказав їм усе, що Господь говорив з ним на горі Сіна́й.
And Moses ended speaking with them; and he had put on his face a veil.
І скінчи́в Мойсей говорити з ними, і дав на лице своє покрива́ло.
And when Moses went in before Jehovah to speak with him, he took the veil off, until he came out; and he came out, and spoke to the children of Israel what he was commanded.
А коли Мойсей вхо́див перед Господнє лице на розмову з Ним, то здіймав покрива́ло аж до свого ви́ходу. І він вихо́див, і говорив до Ізраїлевих синів, що́ було наказано йому.
And the children of Israel saw the face of Moses, that the skin of Moses' face shone; and Moses put the veil on his face again, until he went in to speak with him.
І бачили Ізраїлеві сини лице Мойсеєве, — що променіло лице Мойсеєве. І Мойсей знов накладав покривало на лице своє аж до відходу свого, щоб говорити з Ним.
