A false balance is an abomination to Jehovah; but a just weight is his delight.

Обма́нливі ша́льки — оги́да для Господа, а повна вага́ — це Його уподо́ба.
[When] pride cometh, then cometh shame; but with the lowly is wisdom.
Прийде пишність, та при́йде і га́ньба, а з суми́рними — мудрість.
The integrity of the upright guideth them; but the crookedness of the unfaithful destroyeth them.
Невинність простосердих веде їх, а лука́вство зрадли́вих — їх вигубить.
Wealth profiteth not in the day of wrath; but righteousness delivereth from death.
Не поможе багатство в день гніву, а справедливість від смерти визво́лює.
The righteousness of the perfect maketh plain his way; but the wicked falleth by his own wickedness.
Справедливість невинного дорогу йому випросто́вує, безбожний же падає через безбожність свою́.
The righteousness of the upright delivereth them; but the treacherous are taken in their own craving.
Справедливість прямих їх рятує, а зрадливі захо́плені будуть своєю захла́нністю.
When a wicked man dieth, [his] expectation shall perish; and the hope of evil [men] perisheth.
При смерті люди́ни безбожної гине надія, зникає чека́ння люди́ни нікче́мної.
The righteous is delivered out of trouble, and the wicked cometh in his stead.
Виривається праведний з у́тиску, і замість нього безбожний іде.
With his mouth a hypocrite destroyeth his neighbour; but through knowledge are the righteous delivered.
Свого ближнього нищить лукавий уста́ми, а знання́м визволя́ються праведні.
When it goeth well with the righteous, the city rejoiceth; and when the wicked perish, there is shouting.
Добром праведних місто радіє, а як гинуть безбожні — співає.
By the blessing of the upright the city is exalted; but it is overthrown by the mouth of the wicked.
Благословенням че́сних підно́ситься місто, а уста́ми безбожних руйну́ється.
He that despiseth his neighbour is void of heart; but a man of understanding holdeth his peace.
Хто пого́рджує ближнім своїм, той позба́влений розуму, а розумна люди́на мовчить.
He that goeth about talebearing revealeth secrets; but he that is of a faithful spirit concealeth the matter.
Виявляє обмо́вник таємне, вірнодухий же справу ховає.
Where no advice is, the people fall; but in the multitude of counsellors there is safety.
Народ падає з бра́ку розумного про́воду, при числе́нності ж ра́дників спасі́ння буває.
It goeth ill with him that is surety for another; but he that hateth suretyship is secure.
Зле робить, як хто за чужого пору́чується, хто ж пору́ку ненавидить, той безпечний.
A gracious woman retaineth honour; and the violent retain riches.
Жінка чесно́тна ося́гує слави, і пильні багатства здобу́дуть.
The merciful man doeth good to his own soul; but the cruel troubleth his own flesh.
Люди́на ласка́ва душі своїй чинить добро́, а жорстока замучує тіло своє.
The wicked worketh a deceitful work; but he that soweth righteousness hath a sure reward.
Чинить діло безва́ртне безбожний, хто ж праведність сіє — заплату правдиву оде́ржує.
As righteousness [tendeth] to life, so he that pursueth evil [doeth it] to his own death.
Отак праведність є на життя, хто ж жене́ться за злом, той до смерти зближа́ється.
The perverse in heart are abomination to Jehovah; but they that are perfect in [their] way are his delight.
Серцем лукаві — оги́да для Господа, а хто в неповинності ходить — Його уподо́ба.
Hand for hand! an evil [man] shall not be held innocent; but the seed of the righteous shall be delivered.
Ручаюсь: не бу́де невинним лихий, а наща́док правдивих захований буде.
A fair woman who is without discretion, is [as] a gold ring in a swine's snout.
Золотая сере́жка в свині на ніздрі́ — це жінка гарна, позба́влена розуму.
The desire of the righteous is only good; the expectation of the wicked is wrath.
Жада́ння у праведних — тільки добро, надія безбожних — то гнів.
There is that scattereth, and yet increaseth; and there is that withholdeth more than is right, but [it tendeth] only to want.
Дехто щедро дає, та ще додається йому, а дехто ховає над міру, та тільки бідні́є.
The liberal soul shall be made fat, and he that watereth shall be watered also himself.
Душа, яка благословля́є, наси́чена буде, а хто по́їть інших, — напо́єний буде і він.
He that withholdeth corn, the people curse him; but blessing shall be upon the head of him that selleth it.
Хто задержує збіжжя, того проклинає наро́д, хто ж поживу випро́дує, тому благослове́ння на голову.
He that is earnest after good seeketh favour; but he that searcheth for mischief, it shall come upon him.
Хто прагне добра, той шукає вподо́бання, хто ж лихого жадає, то й при́йде на нього воно.
He that trusteth in his riches shall fall; but the righteous shall flourish as a leaf.
Хто надію кладе на багатство своє, той впаде́, а праведники зелені́ють, як листя.
He that troubleth his own house shall inherit wind; and the fool shall be servant to the wise of heart.
Хто не́ряд уносить до дому свого, той вітер пося́де, а дурноголо́вий розумному стане рабом.
The fruit of the righteous is a tree of life; and the wise winneth souls.
Плід праведного — дерево життя, і мудрий життя набуває.
