The wisdom of women buildeth their house; but folly plucketh it down with her hands.

Мудра жінка будує свій дім, а безумна своєю рукою руйнує його́.
He that walketh in his uprightness feareth Jehovah; but he that is perverted in his ways despiseth him.
Хто ходить в просто́ті своїй, боїться той Господа, а в ко́го доро́ги криві́, той пого́рджує Ним.
In the fool's mouth is a rod of pride; but the lips of the wise shall preserve them.
На устах безу́мця галу́зка пихи́, а губи премудрих їх стережу́ть.
Where no oxen are, the crib is clean; but much increase is by the strength of the ox.
Де немає биків, там я́сла порожні, а щедрість врожа́ю — у силі вола́.
A faithful witness will not lie; but a false witness uttereth lies.
Сві́док правдивий не лже, а сві́док брехливий говорить неправду.
A scorner seeketh wisdom, and there is none [for him]; but knowledge is easy unto the intelligent.
Насмішник шукає премудрости, — та надаре́мно, пізна́ння легке́ для розумного.
Go from the presence of a foolish man, in whom thou perceivest not the lips of knowledge.
Ходи зда́лека від люди́ни безу́мної, і від того, в кого́ мудрих уст ти не бачив.
The wisdom of the prudent is to discern his way; but the folly of the foolish is deceit.
Мудрість розумного — то розумі́ння дороги своєї, а глупо́та дурних — то ома́на.
Fools make a mock at trespass; but for the upright there is favour.
Нерозумні сміються з гріха́, а між праведними — уподо́бання.
The heart knoweth its own bitterness, and a stranger doth not intermeddle with its joy.
Серце знає гірко́ту своєї душі, і в радість його не втручається інший.
The house of the wicked shall be overthrown; but the tent of the upright shall flourish.
Буде ви́гублений дім безбожних, а намет безневи́нних розкві́тне.
There is a way that seemeth right unto a man, but the end thereof is the ways of death.
Буває, доро́га люди́ні здається простою, та кінець її — стежка до смерти.
Even in laughter the heart is sorrowful, and the end of mirth is sadness.
Також іноді і від сміху́ болить серце, і закі́нчення радости — сму́ток.
The backslider in heart shall be filled with his own ways, and the good man from what is in himself.
Хто підступного серця, наси́титься той із доріг своїх, а добра люди́на — із чинів своїх.
The simple believeth every word; but the prudent [man] heedeth his going.
Вірить безглу́здий в кожні́сіньке слово, а мудрий зважає на кро́ки свої.
A wise [man] feareth and departeth from evil; but the foolish is overbearing and confident.
Мудрий боїться й від злого вступає, нерозумний же гні́вається та сміли́вий.
He that is soon angry dealeth foolishly, and a man of mischievous devices is hated.
Скорий на гнів учиняє глупо́ту, а люди́на лукава знена́виджена.
The simple inherit folly; but the prudent are crowned with knowledge.
Нерозумні глупо́ту вспадко́вують, а мудрі знання́м коронуються.
The evil bow before the good, and the wicked at the gates of the righteous [man].
Покло́няться злі перед добрими, а безбожники — при брамах праведного.
He that is poor is hated even of his own neighbour; but the rich hath many friends.
Убогий знена́виджений навіть ближнім своїм, а в багатого дру́зі числе́нні.
He that despiseth his neighbour sinneth; but he that is gracious to the afflicted, happy is he.
Хто погорджує ближнім своїм, той грішить, а ласка́вий до вбогих — блаже́нний.
Do they not err that devise evil? but loving-kindness and truth are for those that devise good.
Чи ж не блу́дять, хто о́ре лихе? А милість та правда для тих, хто о́ре добро́.
In all labour there is profit; but the talk of the lips [tendeth] only to want.
Кожна праця прино́сить доста́ток, але́ праця уст в недоста́ток веде́.
The crown of the wise is their riches; the folly of the foolish is folly.
Корона премудрих — їхня му́дрість, а віне́ць нерозумних — глупо́та.
A true witness delivereth souls; but deceit uttereth lies.
Свідок правдивий визво́лює душі, а свідок обма́нливий — бре́хні торо́чить.
In the fear of Jehovah is strong confidence, and his children shall have a place of refuge.
У Господньому стра́хові сильна наді́я, і Він пристано́вище ді́тям Своїм.
The fear of Jehovah is a fountain of life, to turn away from the snares of death.
Страх Господній — крини́ця життя, щоб віддаля́тися від пасток смерти.
In the multitude of people is the king's glory; but in the lack of people is the ruin of a prince.
У числе́нності люду вели́чність царя, а в бра́ку народу — погибіль воло́даря.
He that is slow to anger is of great understanding; but he that is hasty of spirit exalteth folly.
Терпели́вий у гніві — багаторозумний, а гнівли́вий вчиняє глупо́ту.
A sound heart is the life of the flesh; but envy the rottenness of the bones.
Ла́гідне серце — життя то для тіла, а за́здрість — гнили́зна косте́й.
He that oppresseth the poor reproacheth his Maker; but he that honoureth Him is gracious to the needy.
Хто тисне нужде́нного, той ображає свого Творця́, а хто милости́вий до вбогого, той поважає Його.
The wicked is driven away by his evil-doing; but the righteous trusteth, [even] in his death.
Безбожний у зло своє падає, а праведний повний надії й при смерті своїй.
Wisdom resteth in the heart of the intelligent [man]; but that which is in the foolish maketh itself known.
Мудрість має спочи́нок у серці розумного, а що в нутрі безумних, те ви́явиться.
Righteousness exalteth a nation; but sin is a reproach to peoples.
Праведність люд підійма́є, а беззако́ння — то сором наро́дів.
