For the pressing of milk bringeth forth butter, and the pressing of the nose bringeth forth blood; and the pressing of anger bringeth forth strife.

Surely the churning of milk bringeth forth butter, and the wringing of the nose bringeth forth blood: so the forcing of wrath bringeth forth strife.

For as the churning of milk produces butter,
And wringing the nose produces blood,
So the forcing of wrath produces strife. -

As the beating of cream yields butter
and striking the nose causes bleeding,
so stirring up anger causes quarrels. -
потому что, как сбивание молока производит масло, толчок в нос производит кровь, так и возбуждение гнева производит ссору.

Бо коли збити молоко, виходить масло;
і коли натиснути носа, кров виступає;
так, коли тиснути гнів, виникає сварка. -
Бо збива́ння молока дає масло, і дає кров вдар по носі, тиск же на гнів дає сварку“.

Ведь если взбивать молоко, получится масло,
если ударить по носу, кровь польется,
а если гнев разжечь, вспыхнет вражда». -
Піди надоїти молока — і буде масло, а коли стиснеш носа, то вийде кров, так і з витягнутих слів виходять сварки та бійки.

Если человек сбивает молоко, он делает масло; если бьёт другого по носу, то появится кровь, точно так же, если рассердишь людей, то будешь причиной дела в суде.
