For there is a man whose labour hath been with wisdom, and with knowledge, and with skill, and who leaveth it to a man that hath not laboured therein, to be his portion. This also is vanity and a great evil.

For there is a man whose labour is in wisdom, and in knowledge, and in equity; yet to a man that hath not laboured therein shall he leave it for his portion. This also is vanity and a great evil.

For a person may labor with wisdom, knowledge and skill, and then they must leave all they own to another who has not toiled for it. This too is meaningless and a great misfortune. -

потому что человек может трудиться с мудростью, знанием и умением, а затем должен оставить все тому, кто палец о палец не ударил. И это — суета, это — большая несправедливость.

Бо є чоловік, труд якого в мудрості, у пізнанні та в мужності, і чоловік, який не трудився в ньому, дасть йому його частку. Це — марнота і велике зло.

Человек может много трудиться, прилагая всю мудрость, знания и мастерство, но он умрёт и другие получат то, над чем он трудился. Они не трудились, но получат всё. Это тоже бессмысленно и очень несправедливо.
