Invitation to the Needy

Ho, every one that thirsteth, come ye to the waters; and he that hath no money, come ye, buy, and eat: yea, come, buy wine and milk without money and without price!

Спраглі, ідіть до води, і ви, хто не має срібла, пішовши, купуйте і пийте без срібла і оплати за вино і жир.

2

Wherefore do ye spend money for [that which is] not bread? and your labour for that which satisfieth not? Hearken diligently unto me, and eat ye [that which is] good, and let your soul delight itself in fatness.

Навіщо платите сріблом і вашою важкою працею за те, що не для насичення? Послухайте Мене і будете споживати блага, і ваша душа насититься добром.

Incline your ear, and come unto me; hear, and your soul shall live; and I will make an everlasting covenant with you, the sure mercies of David.

Сприйміть вашими вухами і підіть Моїми шляхами. Послухайте Мене, і ваша душа житиме в добрі. І Я складу з вами вічний завіт, вірну праведність Давида.

Behold, I have given him [for] a witness to the peoples, a prince and commander to the peoples.

Ось Я дав його як свідчення в народах, як володаря і того, хто наказує народам.

Behold, thou shalt call a nation thou knowest not, and a nation [that] knew not thee shall run unto thee, because of Jehovah thy God, and the Holy One of Israel; for he hath glorified thee.

Народи, які тебе не знали, прикличуть тебе, і народи, які тебе не знають, прибіжать до тебе задля твого Бога, Святого Ізраїля, бо Він тебе прославив.

6

Seek ye Jehovah while he may be found, call ye upon him while he is near.

Шукайте Бога і, коли Його знайдете, закличте! А при Його наближенні до вас,

7

Let the wicked forsake his way, and the unrighteous man his thoughts; and let him return unto Jehovah, and he will have mercy upon him; and to our God, for he will abundantly pardon.

хай безбожний залишить свої дороги і беззаконна людина свої ради і нехай повернеться до Господа, і буде помилувана, бо Він щедро простить ваші гріхи.

8

For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, saith Jehovah.

Адже Мої ради не є такі, як ваші ради, і мої дороги не такі, як ваші дороги, — говорить Господь.

9

For [as] the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts.

9

Але так, як небо віддалене від землі, настільки далека Моя дорога від ваших доріг і ваші задуми — від Мого задуму.

10

For as the rain cometh down, and the snow from heaven, and returneth not thither, but watereth the earth, and maketh it bring forth and bud, that it may give seed to the sower, and bread to the eater:

Адже як дощ чи сніг піде з неба і не повертається, аж доки не напоїть землю, і вона вродить, і зростить, і дасть насіння сівачеві та хліб на поживу,

so shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth: it shall not return unto me void, but it shall do that which I please, and it shall accomplish that for which I send it.

саме таким буде і Моє слово, яке тільки вийде з Моїх уст, — воно не повернеться, аж доки не виконається те, що Я забажав, і дам успіх на твоїх дорогах і Моїм заповідям.

12

For ye shall go out with joy, and be led forth with peace; the mountains and the hills shall break forth before you into singing, and all the trees of the field shall clap their hands.

Адже ви вийдете у веселості й будете навчатися в радості, бо гори і пагорби підскакуватимуть, приймаючи вас у радості, і всі дерева рівнини заплещуть галузками,

13

Instead of the thorn shall come up the cypress, and instead of the nettle shall come up the myrtle; and it shall be to Jehovah for a name, for an everlasting sign [that] shall not be cut off.

і замість чагарнику підніметься кипарис, а замість вереску зійде мирт. І буде це для слави Господа і як вічний знак, і не мине.
