True Fasts and Sabbaths

Cry aloud, spare not, lift up thy voice like a trumpet, and declare unto my people their transgression, and to the house of Jacob their sins.

Кричи как можно громче! Громко кричи, не удерживайся, кричи подобно трубе! Расскажи людям об их беззаконии, скажи семье Иакова о грехах её!

Yet they seek me daily, and delight to know my ways, as a nation that doeth righteousness, and hath not forsaken the ordinance of their God; they ask of me the ordinances of righteousness, they take delight in approaching to God:

Тогда они каждый день будут Мне поклоняться, захотят научиться Моим путям. Они станут народом, живущим праведно, и не перестанут следовать добрым заветам Бога. Они просить Меня будут о суде справедливом и за справедливостью будут ко Мне приходить.

-- Wherefore have we fasted, and thou seest not; have afflicted our soul, and thou takest no knowledge? Behold, in the day of your fast ye find what pleaseth [you], and exact all your labours.

Теперь эти люди говорят: "Мы постимся ради Тебя, почему же Ты нас не видишь? Мы причиняем боль себе, почему же Ты нас не замечаешь?" Но Господь говорит: "Вы делаете то, что вам самим приятно, вы поститесь по особым дням и наказываете слуг ваших, но не тела ваши.

Behold, ye have fasted for strife and debate, and to smite with the fist of wickedness; ye do not at present fast, to cause your voice to be heard on high.

Вы голодны до споров, вы больше хотите ссор, нежели хлеба. Ваши злобные руки жаждут драки. Вы поститесь, но не для Меня, вы не хотите свой голос утруждать, восхваляя Меня.

Is such the fast that I have chosen, a day for a man to afflict his soul, -- that he should bow down his head as a bulrush, and spread sackcloth and ashes [under him]? Wilt thou call this a fast, and a day acceptable to Jehovah?

Вы думаете, что в дни поста Мне приятно видеть, как люди наказывают сами себя? Думаете, Мне угодно видеть печаль людей? Думаете, Я хочу, чтобы они склоняли головы, подобно погибшим растениям, и надевали на себя одежды печали? Думаете, Я хочу, чтобы люди сидели во прахе, являя свою печаль? Ведь вы всё это делаете в дни ваших постов! Думаете, Господу всё это угодно?

Is not this the fast which I have chosen: to loose the bands of wickedness, to undo the thongs of the yoke, and to send forth free the crushed, and that ye break every yoke?

Is it not to deal thy bread to the hungry, and that thou bring to thy house the needy wanderers; when thou seest the naked, that thou cover him; and that thou hide not thyself from thine own flesh?

Я хочу, чтобы вы разделили свой хлеб с голодными и приютили бездомных, и когда увидели нагого человека, дали ему одежду свою. Не прячьтесь от них, они такие же люди, как вы".

Then shall thy light break forth as the dawn, and thy health shall spring forth speedily; and thy righteousness shall go before thee, the glory of Jehovah shall be thy rearguard.

Если вы так поступите, свет ваш зарёй засияет, раны ваши излечатся, и ваша праведность пойдёт впереди вас, и слава Господняя будет следовать позади.

Then shalt thou call, and Jehovah will answer; thou shalt cry, and he will say, Here I am. If thou take away from the midst of thee the yoke, the putting forth of the finger and the unjust speech,

Тогда вы воззовёте к Господу, и Он вам ответит, возопите, и Господь откликнется: "Я здесь!" Вы не должны больше приносить людям беды, не должны обвинять других и говорить горькие слова.

and thou proffer thy soul to the hungry, and satisfy the afflicted soul: then shall thy light rise in the darkness, and thine obscurity be as midday;

and Jehovah will guide thee continually, and satisfy thy soul in drought, and strengthen thy bones; and thou shalt be like a watered garden, and like a water-spring, whose waters deceive not.

Господь вас будет вести всегда, Он души ваши насытит в землях сухих и даст силы, вы будете словно сад у воды, словно ручей, который никогда не иссякает.

And they [that come] of thee shall build the old waste places: thou shalt raise up the foundations [that have remained] from generation to generation; and thou shalt be called, Repairer of the breaches, restorer of frequented paths.

Города ваши долго стояли в руинах, но будут построены новые города, и основания их будут стоять веками. Вас будут называть "Возродителями", теми, кто строит дома и дороги.

If thou turn back thy foot from the sabbath, [from] doing thy pleasure on my holy day, and call the sabbath a delight, the holy [day] of Jehovah, honourable; and thou honour him, not doing thine own ways, nor finding thine own pleasure, nor speaking [idle] words;

Это случится, когда вы перестанете попирать день субботний, когда в Мой святой день перестанете исполнять свои прихоти и будете считать субботу отрадою, когда станете почитать святой день Господний тем, что не будете заниматься своими обычными делами и заключать сделки.

then shalt thou delight thyself in Jehovah, and I will cause thee to ride on the high places of the earth, and feed thee with the heritage of Jacob thy father: for the mouth of Jehovah hath spoken.

Тогда вы сможете Господа просить о Его доброте, и Он вознесёт вас над землёю и даст всё, что принадлежало Иакову, отцу вашему. Это исполнится, ибо так сказал Господь.
