The Yoke of Nebuchadnezzar
In the beginning of the reign of Jehoiakim the son of Josiah, the king of Judah, came this word to Jeremiah from Jehovah, saying,

Весть от Господа пришла к Иеремии. Она пришла в четвёртый год царствования Седекии в Иудее.
Thus hath Jehovah said unto me: Make thee bonds and yokes, and put them upon thy neck;
Господь говорит: "Иеремия, сделай себе ярмо и надень на себя.
and send them to the king of Edom, and to the king of Moab, and to the king of the children of Ammon, and to the king of Tyre, and to the king of Zidon, by the hand of the messengers that come to Jerusalem unto Zedekiah king of Judah.
Отправь послания царям Идома, Моава, Аммона, Тира и Сидона. Эти цари прислали вестников повидать Седекию, царя Иудейского. Пошли мои послания с этими вестниками.
And give them a charge unto their masters, saying, Thus saith Jehovah of hosts, the God of Israel: Thus shall ye say unto your masters:
Скажи вестникам, чтоб передали так: "Господь Всемогущий, Бог Израиля, говорит: скажите своим правителям, что
I have made the earth, man and beast that are upon the face of the earth, by my great power and by my outstretched arm; and I give them unto whom it seemeth right in mine eyes.
Я сотворил землю и всех людей на ней, Я сотворил всех животных на земле, Я сделал всё это Своей великой силой и Своими всемогущими руками. Я могу дать землю каждому, кому пожелаю.
And now have I given all these lands into the hand of Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon, my servant; and the beasts of the field also have I given him to serve him.
Теперь Я отдал все страны Навуходоносору, царю Вавилона, рабу Моему. Я даже диких зверей заставлю ему подчиняться.
And all the nations shall serve him, and his son, and his son's son, until the time of his land also come, when many nations and great kings shall reduce him to servitude.
Все народы будут служить ему, и сыну его, и внуку. Потом придёт время быть Вавилону побеждённым, многие народы и великие цари сделают Вавилон своим рабом.
And it shall come to pass, that the nation and kingdom which will not serve the same Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon, and that will not put their neck under the yoke of the king of Babylon, that nation will I visit, saith Jehovah, with the sword, and with the famine, and with the pestilence, until I have consumed them by his hand.
Но теперь некоторые народы и царства могут отказаться служить Вавилону и отказаться вешать на шеи свои ярмо. Если это случится, Я накажу тот народ мечом, голодом и страшными болезнями"". Так говорит Господь. ""Так будет, пока Я не уничтожу тот народ. Я использую Навуходоносора, чтобы уничтожить народ, который борется против него.
And ye, hearken not to your prophets, nor to your diviners, nor to your dreamers, nor to your soothsayers, nor to your sorcerers, who speak unto you saying: Ye shall not serve the king of Babylon.
Не слушайте ваших пророков и людей, которые с помощью волшебства говорят о будущем. Не слушайте людей, говорящих, что они разгадывают сны, не слушайте тех, кто разговаривает с мёртвыми или занимается магией. Все они говорят: "Вы не будете рабами царя Вавилонского".
For they prophesy falsehood unto you, to remove you far from your land, and that I should drive you out, and ye should perish.
Но эти люди говорят вам ложь — они будут причиной того, что вас угонят далеко от дома. Я заставлю вас покинуть ваши дома, и вы умрёте на чужой земле.
But the nation that bringeth its neck under the yoke of the king of Babylon and serveth him, will I let remain still in its own land, saith Jehovah; and they shall till it, and dwell therein.
Но народы, которые согнут свои шеи и наденут ярмо царя Вавилона, подчиняясь ему, останутся жить. Я позволю им остаться на своей земле и служить царю Вавилона"". Так говорит Господь. "Люди различных стран будут жить на своей земле и обрабатывать её. "
And I spoke to Zedekiah king of Judah according to all these words, saying, bring your necks under the yoke of the king of Babylon, and serve him and his people, and live.
Такую же весть я передал Седекии, царю Иудеи. Я сказал: "Седекия, ты должен надеть ярмо царя Вавилона и подчиниться ему. Если ты будешь служить царю Вавилона, то останешься жить.
Why will ye die, thou and thy people, by the sword, by the famine, and by the pestilence, as Jehovah hath spoken concerning the nation that will not serve the king of Babylon?
Если ты не согласен служить царю Вавилона, то ты и твои люди умрёте от меча, от голода и от страшных болезней". Господь сказал, что это будет так.
And hearken not unto the words of the prophets that speak unto you, saying, Ye shall not serve the king of Babylon; for they prophesy falsehood unto you.
Но лживые пророки говорят: Вы никогда не будете рабами царя Вавилона. Не слушайте тех пророков: они проповедуют ложь.
For I have not sent them, saith Jehovah, yet they prophesy falsely in my name; in order that I should drive you out, and that ye should perish, ye, and the prophets who prophesy unto you.
Я не посылал тех пророков — они проповедуют ложь и выдают её за Мои вести. Я изгоню вас, люди Иудеи, и вы умрёте, и пророки эти тоже умрут"".
And I spoke to the priests and to all this people, saying, Thus saith Jehovah: Hearken not to the words of your prophets that prophesy unto you, saying, Behold, the vessels of Jehovah's house shall now shortly be brought again from Babylon; for they prophesy falsehood unto you.
И тогда я, Иеремия, сказал священникам и всем людям: "Господь говорит: "Эти лживые пророки утверждают, что обстановка храма Господа, унесённая в Вавилон, будет скоро возвращена". Не слушайте этих пророков: они проповедуют ложь.
Hearken not unto them; serve the king of Babylon, and live: wherefore should this city become a waste?
Не слушайте этих пророков — служите царю Вавилонскому, примите ваши наказания и останетесь живы. Нет никаких причин, чтобы из-за вас разрушали Иерусалим.
But if they be prophets, and if the word of Jehovah be with them, let them now make intercession to Jehovah of hosts, that the vessels which are left in the house of Jehovah, and in the house of the king of Judah, and at Jerusalem, go not to Babylon.
Если те люди — пророки и у них есть вести от Господа, пусть тогда они молятся о том, что до сих пор находится в Господнем храме, во дворце царя и в Иерусалиме. Пусть эти пророки молятся, чтобы всё это не забрал Вавилон".
For thus saith Jehovah of hosts concerning the pillars, and concerning the sea, and concerning the bases, and concerning the rest of the vessels that are left in this city,
Господь Всемогущий говорит о том, что ещё остаётся в Иерусалиме: в храме есть колонны, есть бронзовое море, подвижные основания и прочие вещи. Навуходоносор, царь Вавилона, оставил это в Иерусалиме.
which Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon took not, when he carried away captive Jeconiah the son of Jehoiakim, the king of Judah, from Jerusalem to Babylon, along with all the nobles of Judah and Jerusalem;
Навуходоносор не взял это, когда забрал в плен царя Иудеи Иехонию, сына царя Иоакима. Навуходоносор взял и других важных людей из Иудеи и Иерусалима.
yea, thus saith Jehovah of hosts, the God of Israel, concerning the vessels that are left in the house of Jehovah, and in the house of the king of Judah, and in Jerusalem:
Господь Всемогущий, Бог Израиля, говорит о тех вещах, которые остались в храме Господа и в царском дворце в Иерусалиме: "Все эти вещи тоже будут захвачены Вавилоном.
They shall be carried to Babylon, and there shall they be until the day of my visiting them, saith Jehovah; then I will bring them up, and restore them to this place.
Они будут принесены в Вавилон и останутся там до того дня, когда Я приду наказывать их". Так сказал Господь. "Затем Я принесу эти вещи обратно и водворю их на прежние места".
