Restoration of Israel and Judah

The word that came to Jeremiah from Jehovah, saying,

Вот весть, которая пришла к Иеремии от Господа:

Thus speaketh Jehovah the God of Israel, saying, Write thee in a book all the words that I have spoken unto thee.

Господь, Бог Израиля, сказал: "Иеремия, запиши всё, что Я тебе говорил, запиши это сам.

3

For behold, the days come, saith Jehovah, when I will turn the captivity of my people Israel and Judah, saith Jehovah; and I will cause them to return to the land that I gave to their fathers, and they shall possess it.

Сделай это, потому что придут дни, когда Я приведу людей Моих из Вавилона обратно. Я верну их на землю, которую дал их предкам, и они снова будут ею владеть".

And these are the words that Jehovah hath spoken concerning Israel and concerning Judah;

Господь сказал это о людях Израиля и Иудеи.

for thus saith Jehovah: We have heard a voice of trembling, there is fear, and no peace.

Вот что сказал Господь: "Мы слышим плачущих от страха: народ испуган — мира нет.

Ask ye now, and see, whether a male doth travail with child? Wherefore do I see every man with his hands on his loins, as a woman in travail; and all faces are turned into paleness?

Задай вопрос, и сам подумай — мужчина может ли родить? Конечно, нет. Так почему же вижу Я, как каждый мужчина держится за свой живот, подобно женщине при родах, и почему их лица так бледны? А потому, что мужчины в страхе.

Alas! for that day is great, so that none is like it: it is even the time of Jacob's trouble; but he shall be saved out of it.

Это важное для Иакова время — это день великих несчастий, и другого такого дня не будет, но Иаков будет спасён.

And it shall come to pass in that day, saith Jehovah of hosts, I will break his yoke from off thy neck, and will burst thy bonds, and strangers shall no more reduce him to servitude.

И в это же время, — говорит Господь Всемогущий, — Я сниму ярмо с народов Израиля и Иудеи и разорву путы, держащие вас. Народы других стран не принудят больше Моих людей быть рабами.

But they shall serve Jehovah their God, and David their king, whom I will raise up unto them.

Люди Израиля и Иудеи никогда не будут служить другим народам — они будут служить Господу, их Богу, и своему царю Давиду. Я пошлю им такого царя.

10

And thou, my servant Jacob, fear not, saith Jehovah; neither be dismayed, O Israel: for behold, I will save thee from afar, and thy seed from the land of their captivity; and Jacob shall return, and shall be in rest, and at ease, and none shall make [him] afraid.

Итак, Иаков, раб Мой, не пугайся, — говорит Господь, — Израиль, не страшись, и Я тебя спасу от стороны далёкой. Ты пленник там, но Я спасу твоих потомков. Я их обратно приведу, и будет снова мирно жить Иаков: никто уже ему не будет страшен.

For I am with thee, saith Jehovah, to save thee: for I will make a full end of all the nations whither I have scattered thee; yet of thee will I not make a full end, but I will correct thee with judgment, and will not hold thee altogether guiltless.

Я с вами, люди Израиля, Иудеи". Так говорит Господь. "Я вас спасу, Я уничтожу землю, в которую Я вас послал. Я уничтожу тот народ, но вас не уничтожу. Вы наказание понести должны, но Я вас накажу по справедливости".

For thus saith Jehovah: Thy bruise is incurable, thy wound is grievous.

12

Господь сказал: "Ваши раны неисцелимы — они слишком глубоки.

13

There is none to plead thy cause, to bind up [thy wound]; thou hast no healing medicines.

Некому позаботиться о ваших ранах, боль ваша неизлечима.

14

All thy lovers have forgotten thee; they seek thee not. For I have smitten thee with the stroke of an enemy, with the chastisement of a cruel one, for the greatness of thine iniquity: thy sins are manifold.

Вы подружились со многими народами, но тем народам всё равно, что с вами будет. Ваши "друзья" о вас забыли. Я причиню вам боль, как врагам, накажу вас жестоко, потому что слишком велик ваш грех и велика вина ваша.

15

Why criest thou because of thy bruise? thy sorrow is incurable; for the greatness of thine iniquity, [because] thy sins are manifold, I have done these things unto thee.

Израиль и Иудея, что вы о ранах ваших кричите? Они неизлечимы, Я, Господь, всё это сделал, ибо велика вина ваша и велик ваш грех.

16

Therefore all that devour thee shall be devoured, and all thine adversaries, every one of them, shall go into captivity; and they that spoil thee shall be for a spoil; and all they that prey upon thee will I give to be a prey.

Другие народы уничтожили вас, но теперь они сами пали. Станут пленниками ваши враги. Иудея и Израиль, эти люди расхитили ваше добро, но у них самих украдут другие. Они ограбили вас во время войны, а теперь сами будут ограблены.

17

For I will apply a bandage unto thee, and I will heal thee of thy wounds, saith Jehovah; for they have called thee an outcast: This is Zion that no man seeketh after.

Я верну вам здоровье залечу ваши раны — так говорит Господь — потому что другие люди вас отверженными назвали и сказали, что им нет до вас дела".

18

Restoration of Jacob

Thus saith Jehovah: Behold, I will turn the captivity of Jacob's tents, and have mercy on his habitations; and the city shall be built upon her own heap; and the palace shall be inhabited after the manner thereof.

Но Господь говорит: "Народ Иакова сейчас пленник, но Я верну его, Я сжалюсь над домом Иакова: сейчас этот город просто холм, покрытый развалинами, но будет он вновь построен, и царский дворец поднимется на прежнем месте.

19

And out of them shall proceed thanksgiving, and the voice of them that make merry: and I will multiply them, and they shall not be diminished; and I will honour them, and they shall not be small.

И будут слышны здесь песни хвалы и повсюду будут раздаваться радостные возгласы. Я пошлю им многочисленное потомство, Израиль и Иудея не будут малыми народами: Я их прославлю, и никто не посмотрит на них свысока.

20

And their sons shall be as aforetime; and their assembly shall be established before me; and I will punish all that oppress them.

Семья Иакова будет такой, как семья Израиля в давние времена. Я сделаю их сильными и накажу тех, кто причинял им вред.

21

And their prince shall be of themselves, and their ruler shall proceed from the midst of them; and I will cause him to approach, and he shall draw near unto me. For who is this that engageth his heart to draw near unto me? saith Jehovah.

И выйдет вождь из народа, из Моих людей будет он. Ко Мне прийти он захочет, и Я приближу его.

22

And ye shall be my people, and I will be your God.

22

И будете вы Моим народом, Я — вашим Богом".

23

Behold, a tempest of Jehovah, fury is gone forth, a sweeping storm: it shall whirl down upon the head of the wicked.

Господь был во гневе великом и наказал людей; как гроза, пришло наказание, как смерч ко всем нечестивым.

24

The fierce anger of Jehovah shall not return, until he have executed, and until he have performed the purposes of his heart. At the end of the days ye shall consider it.

24

И гнев Господа не утихнет, пока Он не закончит своего наказания, пока не выполнит Своих намерений. Когда этот день наступит, ты всё поймёшь, Иудея.
