Behold, he shall come up like a lion from the swelling of the Jordan against the strong habitation; for I will make them suddenly run away from it; and who is a chosen [man] whom I shall appoint over her? For who is like me? and who will assign me a time? and who is that shepherd that will stand before me?

Behold, he shall come up like a lion from the swelling of Jordan against the habitation of the strong: but I will suddenly make him run away from her: and who is a chosen man, that I may appoint over her? for who is like me? and who will appoint me the time? and who is that shepherd that will stand before me?

Against the dwelling place of the strong;
But I will suddenly make him run away from her.
And who is a chosen man that I may appoint over her?
For who is like Me?
Who will arraign Me?
And who is that shepherd

“Behold, one will come up like a lion from the thickets of the Jordan against a perennially watered pasture; for in an instant I will make him run away from it, and whoever is chosen I shall appoint over it. For who is like Me, and who will summon Me into court? And who then is the shepherd who can stand against Me?” -
I will come like a lion from the thickets of the Jordan,
leaping on the sheep in the pasture.
I will chase Edom from its land,
and I will appoint the leader of my choice.
For who is like me, and who can challenge me?
What ruler can oppose my will?” -
Вот, восходит он, как лев, от возвышения Иордана на укреплённые жилища; но Я заставлю их поспешно уйти из Идумеи, и кто избран, того поставлю над нею. Ибо кто подобен Мне? и кто потребует ответа от Меня? и какой пастырь противостанет Мне?

Ось він, неначе лев, виходить із чагарів йорданських на зелені луки. Але умить я прожену його звідти і поставлю там мого вибранця. Бо хто мені рівня? Хто мене на суд покличе? Та й де той пастир, що встоявся б проти мене?»

Ось він, як той лев, виступить від вижин Йорданських на ті утверджені місця; їх же я зневолю швидко вийти з Ідумеї, і, хто вибраний, того над нею поставлю. Хто бо рівня менї? і хто стане вимагати в мене відповідї? та й де той пастирь, що встояв би проти мене? -
Ось піді́йметься він, немов лев, із темного лісу Йорда́ну на во́дяні луки, і Я вмент зроблю́, що він побіжить геть від них, а хто ви́браний буде, того Я поставлю над ними. Бо хто є подібний Мені, і хто покличе Мене перед суд, і хто па́стир такий, що перед обличчям Моїм устоїть?

из иорданской чащи
на роскошные пастбища,
Я в мгновение ока изгоню Эдом из его земель
и поставлю над ним того, кого изберу.
Кто подобен Мне? Кто спросит с Меня?

Порою выходит лев из густых кустов на берегах Иордана и направляется на пастбища, где пасутся стада. Я, как тот лев, пойду в Едом и напугаю его людей. Я заставлю их бежать; никто из юных и смелых не остановит Меня. Нет подобного Мне. Никто не решится Мне противостоять. Ни один пастырь не устоит против Меня!
