And Jehovah saith, Because they have forsaken my law which I set before them, and have not hearkened unto my voice, nor walked in it,

And the LORD saith, Because they have forsaken my law which I set before them, and have not obeyed my voice, neither walked therein;
-
And the Lord said, “Because they have forsaken My law which I set before them, and have not obeyed My voice, nor walked according to it,

The LORD replies, “This has happened because my people have abandoned my instructions; they have refused to obey what I said.

И сказал Господь: за то, что они оставили закон Мой, который Я постановил для них, и не слушали гласа Моего и не поступали по нему;

лише ходили за пожаданням свого серця, за Ваалами, чого їх навчили батьки їхні, —

Господь же говорить так: За те, що вони покинули закон мій, який я дав їм, і не слухали голосу мого та й не ходили по йому; -
а ходили за впе́ртістю серця свого й за Ваа́лами, що навчи́ли про них їхні батьки́.

— Это за то, что они оставили Мой Закон, который Я установил для них; они не слушались Меня и не исполняли Моего Закона. -
але пішли за пожаданнями їхнього злого серця і за ідолами, чому навчили їх їхні батьки!
