to the end that none of all the trees by the waters exalt themselves in their stature, nor set their top amidst the thick boughs, and that none of them that drink water stand up in his height by himself; for they are all given over unto death in the lower parts of the earth, in the midst of the children of men, with them that go down to the pit.

To the end that none of all the trees by the waters exalt themselves for their height, neither shoot up their top among the thick boughs, neither their trees stand up in their height, all that drink water: for they are all delivered unto death, to the nether parts of the earth, in the midst of the children of men, with them that go down to the pit.

So that no trees by the waters may ever again exalt themselves for their height, nor set their tops among the thick boughs, that no tree which drinks water may ever be high enough to reach up to them.
‘For they have all been delivered to death,
To the depths of the earth,
Among the children of men who go down to the Pit.’ -

Therefore no other trees by the waters are ever to tower proudly on high, lifting their tops above the thick foliage. No other trees so well-watered are ever to reach such a height; they are all destined for death, for the earth below, among mortals who go down to the realm of the dead. -

All this is in order that no trees by the waters may grow to towering height or set their tops among the clouds,d and that no trees that drink water may reach up to them in height. Let the tree of no other nation
proudly exult in its own prosperity,
though it be higher than the clouds
and it be watered from the depths.
For all are doomed to die,
to go down to the depths of the earth.
They will land in the pit
along with everyone else on earth. -
Это для того, чтобы никакие дерева при водах не величались высоким ростом своим и не поднимали вершины своей из среды толстых сучьев, и чтобы не прилеплялись к ним из-за высоты их дерева, пьющие воду; ибо все они будут преданы смерти, в преисподнюю страну вместе с сынами человеческими, отшедшими в могилу.

щоб ніякі дерева при воді не пишалися із свого високого зросту та щоб не задирали верховіть своїх у хмари, щоб ніякі добре зрошені водою дерева не спиналися зростом своїм угору: всіх бо їх призначено на смерть, у глибину підземну, разом із людськими синами, що сходять у яму.»

Щоб нїякі дерева при водї не величались високим своїм зростом і не сягали вершками своїми понад густе гіллє, та щоб до них задля їх висоти не прилягали инші дерева, що ссуть воду; всїх бо їх призначено на смерть, у преисподню країну разом із синами людськими, що посходили в яму. -
щоб не пови́щувалися своїм зростом усі дере́ва при воді, і не давали свого верхові́ття поміж хмари, і не ставали у своїй ве́личі сильні між ними, що п'ють воду, бо всі вони ві́ддані смерті до підзе́много кра́ю серед лю́дських синів, до тих, хто схо́дить до могили.

Все это было для того, чтобы другие деревья у воды впредь не поднимались так высоко и не возносили вершину к облакам; чтобы другие деревья, которые пьют воду, не достигали такой высоты. Всем им суждена смерть, нижний мир, — вместе со смертными, с теми, кто спускается в пропасть.

щоб не підносилися в їхній величності всі дерева, що у воді, і не дали своєї влади посеред хмар, і не стали в їхній висоті до них усі, що п’ють воду, усі були видані на смерть у глибину землі посеред людських синів до тих, що сходять до ями.
