The Siege of Jerusalem Predicted
And thou, son of man, take thee a brick, and lay it before thee, and portray upon it a city, -- Jerusalem:

Сын человека, возьми кирпич и начерти на нём очертания Иерусалима.
and lay siege against it, and build forts against it, and cast a mound against it, and set camps against it, and place battering-rams against it round about.
И представь, что ты — армия, окружающая этот город. Расположи лагерь вокруг него. Поставь тараны против него.
And take thou unto thee an iron plate, and put it [for] a wall of iron between thee and the city; and set thy face against it, and it shall be besieged, and thou shalt lay siege against it: this shall be a sign to the house of Israel.
А затем возьми железную заслонку и поставь между тобой и городом, это будет железной стеной между городом и тобой, — так ты покажешь, что ты против него. Ты окружишь и атакуешь город, и это будет примером для всей семьи Израиля. Это покажет, что Я разрушу Иерусалим.
And thou, lie upon thy left side, and lay the iniquity of the house of Israel upon it: the number of the days that thou liest upon it, thou shalt bear their iniquity.
Затем ляг на левый бок, что будет означать принятие тобой всех грехов Израиля, ты будешь нести эту вину столько дней, сколько будешь лежать на левом боку.
And I have appointed thee the years of their iniquity, according to the number of the days, three hundred and ninety days; and thou shalt bear the iniquity of the house of Israel.
Триста девяносто дней ты должен нести вину Израиля. Этим Я говорю тебе, сколь долгим будет наказание Израиля — один день равен одному году.
And when thou hast accomplished them, thou shalt lie again on thy right side, and thou shalt bear the iniquity of the house of Judah forty days: I have appointed thee each day for a year.
После этого ты повернёшься на правый бок, и будешь лежать сорок дней. В это время ты будешь нести на себе вину Иудеи, один день равен одному году — такое долгое наказание Я определил Иудее.
And thou shalt set thy face toward the siege of Jerusalem, and thine arm shall be uncovered, and thou shalt prophesy against it.
И теперь засучи рукава и подними руки над кирпичом, будто ты нападаешь на Иерусалим. Пророчествуй против Иерусалима.
And behold, I lay bands upon thee, and thou shalt not turn thyself from one side to the other, till thou hast ended the days of thy siege.
Теперь взгляни: Я связываю тебя верёвками, ты не сможешь повернуться на другую сторону, пока не закончишь осады города.
The Defiled Bread
And thou, take unto thee wheat, and barley, and beans, and lentils, and millet, and spelt, and put them in one vessel, and make thee bread thereof, [according to] the number of the days that thou liest upon thy side: three hundred and ninety days shalt thou eat thereof.

Ты должен найти зерно, чтобы сделать хлеб, найди пшеницу, ячмень, бобы, чечевицу, пшено и полбу, смешай их в чаше и перемели в муку, из которой сделаешь хлеб. Ты будешь есть только этот хлеб все триста девяносто дней, пока будешь лежать на боку.
And thy meat which thou shalt eat shall be by weight, twenty shekels a day: from time to time shalt thou eat it.
Тебе можно будет брать только по чаше муки для твоего хлеба, который ты будешь есть время от времени в течение дня.
And thou shalt drink water by measure, the sixth part of a hin: from time to time shalt thou drink.
Тебе можно будет пить только три чаши воды в день, выпивая их понемногу в течение дня.
And thou shalt eat it [as] barley-cake, and thou shalt bake it in their sight with dung that cometh out of man.
Тебе придётся каждый день делать себе ячменный хлеб, выпекая его на сухих человеческих отходах. Ты должен есть этот хлеб на глазах у людей".
And Jehovah said, So shall the children of Israel eat their bread unclean among the nations whither I will drive them.
Затем Господь сказал: "Это покажет, что семья Израиля будет есть хлеб нечистый в чужих землях, куда Я заставлю отправиться их".
Then said I, Ah, Lord Jehovah! behold, my soul hath not been defiled, and from my youth up even until now have I not eaten of that which dieth of itself, or of that which is torn; neither came there abominable flesh into my mouth.
Тогда я, Иезекиил, сказал: "О, Господь Всемогущий, я никогда не ел нечистой пищи, никогда не ел мясо животных, умерших от болезни или растерзанных диким зверем, я никогда не ел нечистого мяса со времен моего детства до сегодняшних дней".
And he said unto me, See, I have given thee cow's dung for man's dung, and thou shalt prepare thy bread therewith.
Тогда Господь сказал мне: "Хорошо, Я позволяю тебе использовать коровий навоз вместо человеческих отходов для выпечки хлеба".
And he said unto me, Son of man, behold, I break the staff of bread in Jerusalem; and they shall eat bread by weight, and with anxiety; and they shall drink water by measure, and with astonishment:
И затем сказал: "Сын человека, Я уничтожаю еду в Иерусалиме. Людям придётся нормировать свою пищу, и они будут есть её в страхе. И они будут нормировать свою питьевую воду и пить её в муках.
