but hast lifted up thyself against the Lord of the heavens; and they have brought the vessels of his house before thee, and thou and thy nobles, thy wives and thy concubines, have drunk wine in them; and thou hast praised the gods of silver and gold, of brass, iron, wood, and stone, which see not, nor hear, nor know; and the God in whose hand thy breath is, and whose are all thy ways, hast thou not glorified:

And you have praised the gods of silver and gold, bronze and iron, wood and stone, which do not see or hear or know; and the God who holds your breath in His hand and owns all your ways, you have not glorified.

Instead, you have set yourself up against the Lord of heaven. You had the goblets from his temple brought to you, and you and your nobles, your wives and your concubines drank wine from them. You praised the gods of silver and gold, of bronze, iron, wood and stone, which cannot see or hear or understand. But you did not honor the God who holds in his hand your life and all your ways. -

For you have proudly defied the Lord of heaven and have had these cups from his Temple brought before you. You and your nobles and your wives and concubines have been drinking wine from them while praising gods of silver, gold, bronze, iron, wood, and stone — gods that neither see nor hear nor know anything at all. But you have not honored the God who gives you the breath of life and controls your destiny!

но вознёсся против Господа небес, и сосуды дома Его принесли к тебе, и ты и вельможи твои, жёны твои и наложницы твои пили из них вино, и ты славил богов серебряных и золотых, медных, железных, деревянных и каменных, которые ни видят, ни слышат, ни разумеют; а Бога, в руке Которого дыхание твоё и у Которого все пути твои, ты не прославил.

І ти піднісся понад Небесного Господа, і по́суд храму Його прине́сли перед тебе, а ти та вельмо́жі твої, жінки́ твої та нало́жниці твої пили́ з них вино, і ти хвалив богів срібних та золотих, мідяни́х, залізних, дерев'яних та камі́нних, що не бачать, і не чують та не знають, а Бога, що в руці Його душа твоя й що Його всі дороги твої, ти не прославля́в.

Ты возвысил себя против Владыки небес. Ты велел принести себе кубки из Его дома и со своими приближенными, женами и наложницами пил из них. Ты славил богов из серебра и золота, из бронзы, железа, дерева и камня, которые не могут ни видеть, ни слышать, ни понимать. Но Бога, в руках Которого твоя жизнь и все твои пути, ты не почтил.

Ти піднявся на Господа, Бога неба, і до тебе принесли посуд Його дому, і ти, і твої вельможі, і твої наложниці, і твої гості, ви з них пили вино, і богів золотих, срібних, мідних, дерев’яних, залізних і камінних, які не бачать, не чують і не знають, ти вихваляв, а Бога, в Якого твій подих у Його руці, і всі твої дороги, Його ти не прославив!

Ты славил богов серебряных, золотых, бронзовых, железных, деревянных и каменных. Они и не боги-то вовсе, они не видят, не слышат и ничего не понимают. Но ты не почитал Бога, Который имеет власть над твоей жизнью и всем тем, что ты делаешь.
