in the first year of his reign, I Daniel understood by the books that the number of the years, whereof the word of Jehovah came to Jeremiah the prophet, for the accomplishment of the desolations of Jerusalem, was seventy years.
В первый год царствования царя Дария я, Даниил, читал свитки. В книге Иеремии и из книг понял, что Иерусалим будет оставаться в руинах семьдесят лет.
And I set my face unto the Lord God, to seek by prayer and supplications, with fasting, and sackcloth, and ashes;
Тогда я обратился к Богу, Господину моему. Я молился Ему и просил у Него помощи. Чтобы показать мою печаль я постился, надел на себя одежду печали и посыпал голову свою пеплом.
and I prayed unto Jehovah my God, and made my confession, and said, Alas Lord! the great and terrible God, keeping covenant and loving-kindness with them that love him, and that keep his commandments:
Я молился Господу, Богу моему, и покаялся Ему в своих грехах. Я сказал: "Господь, Ты великий и внушающий страх Бог. Ты хранишь соглашение с Израилем и остаёшься верным тем, кто любит Тебя и соблюдает повеления Твои.
we have sinned, and have committed iniquity, and have done wickedly, and have rebelled, even turning aside from thy commandments and from thine ordinances.
Но, Господь! Мы грешили, поступали беззаконно, обратились против Тебя, и отвернулись от Твоих заповедей и благочестивых повелений.
And we have not hearkened unto thy servants the prophets, who spoke in thy name to our kings, our princes, and our fathers, and to all the people of the land.
Мы не слушали пророков, рабов Твоих. Они говорили именем Твоим. Они говорили с нашими царями, вождями и нашими отцами, и со всем народом Израиля. Но не слушали мы этих пророков!
Thine, O Lord, is the righteousness, but unto us confusion of face, as at this day, to the men of Judah, and to the inhabitants of Jerusalem, and unto all Israel, that are near, and that are far off, in all the countries whither thou hast driven them, because of their unfaithfulness in which they have been unfaithful against thee.
Господь, Тебе принадлежат доброта и правда! А нам сегодня принадлежит позор. Он принадлежит народу Иудеи и Иерусалима, всему народу Израиля, тем, кто близко, и тем, кто далеко. Господи, Ты рассеял этих людей по многим странам, и народ Израиля во всех странах этих должен стыдиться за всё то плохое, что они сделали против Тебя, Господь.
O Lord, unto us is confusion of face, to our kings, to our princes, and to our fathers, because we have sinned against thee.
Нам всем следует стыдиться, всем нашим царям и вождям. Нашим предкам тоже следует стыдиться, ибо они отступили от Тебя, Господь.
With the Lord our God are mercies and pardons, for we have rebelled against him;
Но Ты, Господи, милосерден. Ты прощаешь людей за прегрешения, а ведь мы, на самом деле, возмутились против Тебя.
and we have not hearkened unto the voice of Jehovah our God, to walk in his laws, which he set before us through his servants the prophets.
Мы не слушались Господа, Бога нашего. Господь послал к нам рабов Своих, пророков, и дал нам заповеди, но мы не подчинились этим законам.
And all Israel have transgressed thy law, even turning aside so as not to listen unto thy voice. And the curse hath been poured out upon us, and the oath that is written in the law of Moses the servant of God: for we have sinned against him.
Никто из народа Израиля не подчинился учению Твоему, все они отвернулись и не послушались. В законе Моисея, раба Божьего, написаны проклятия и обещания. Эти проклятия и клятвы говорят о наказании за непослушание закону. Господи, мы грешили против Тебя, и Ты наказал нас по этим проклятиям.
And he hath performed his words, which he spoke against us, and against our judges that judged us, by bringing upon us a great evil; so that there hath not been done under the whole heaven as hath been done upon Jerusalem.
Бог сказал, что всё это случится с нами и нашими вождями, и Он исполнил слова Свои. Он навёл на нас ужасное бедствие. Ни один город не пострадал так, как Иерусалим.
As it is written in the law of Moses, all this evil is come upon us; yet we besought not Jehovah our God, that we might turn from our iniquities, and understand thy truth.
Все бедствия случились с нами так, как написано в Законе Моисея, но мы всё равно не попросили помощи у Господа! Мы не переставали грешить и не обращали внимания на истину Твою, Господь.
And Jehovah hath watched over the evil, and brought it upon us; for Jehovah our God is righteous in all his works which he hath done; and we have not hearkened unto his voice.
Господь навёл на нас бедствия и сделал это потому, что Он справедлив в Своих деяниях. Но мы всё равно не слушали Его.
-- And now, O Lord our God, who broughtest thy people forth out of the land of Egypt with a strong hand, and hast made thee a name, as it is this day, -- we have sinned, we have done wickedly.
Господь, Бог наш, Ты силой Своей вывел народ Свой из Египта и прославил имя Своё. Мы же оставались нечестивыми и грешили против Тебя.
Lord, according to all thy righteousnesses, I beseech thee, let thine anger and thy fury be turned away from thy city Jerusalem, thy holy mountain; for because of our sins, and because of the iniquities of our fathers, Jerusalem and thy people [are become] a reproach to all round about us.
Господи, при всей Твоей великой милости, перестань гневаться на Иерусалим на Твоей Святой горе. Люди, окружающие нас, оскорбляют и высмеивают Твой народ по вине наших предков и потому, что мы грешили.
And now, our God, hearken to the prayer of thy servant, and to his supplications, and cause thy face to shine upon thy sanctuary that is desolate, for the Lord's sake.
А теперь, Господи, послушай мою молитву. Я — раб Твой. Внемли моей мольбе о помощи. Ради имени Твоего, Господь мой, будь добрым к Твоему разрушенному Святилищу.
Incline thine ear, O my God, and hear; open thine eyes and behold our desolations, and the city that is called by thy name: for we do not present our supplications before thee because of our righteousnesses, but because of thy manifold mercies.
Боже мой, услышь меня! Открой глаза и посмотри на все те ужасы, которые случились с нами! Посмотри, что случилось с городом, который назван Твоим именем! Я не говорю, что мы хорошие люди. Не потому я прошу обо всём этом. Я молю, потому что знаю о Твоём милосердии.
Lord, hear! Lord, forgive! Lord, hearken and do! defer not, for thine own sake, O my God! for thy city and thy people are called by thy name.
Господи, внемли мне! Господи, прости нас! Господи, посмотри и сделай что-нибудь! Не медли! Сделай это сейчас! Сделай ради Тебя! Бог мой, сделай что-нибудь сейчас для Своего города и Своего народа, названных именем Твоим".
Gabriel's Prophecy of the Seventy Weeks
And whilst I was speaking, and praying, and confessing my sin and the sin of my people Israel, and presenting my supplication before Jehovah my God for the holy mountain of my God;

Я говорил и молился Богу и каялся в своих грехах, и в грехах моего народа, Израиля. Я молился перед Господом, Богом нашим, который был на Своей святой горе.
whilst I was yet speaking in prayer, the man Gabriel, whom I had seen in the vision at the beginning, flying swiftly, touched me about the time of the evening oblation.
И когда я ещё молился, подошёл ко мне Гавриил, которого я видел прежде в видении. Гавриил быстро подлетел ко мне и коснулся меня. Это было во время вечерней жертвы.
And he informed [me], and talked with me, and said, Daniel, I am now come forth to make thee skilful of understanding.
Он помог мне понять то, что я хотел знать. Гавриил сказал: "Даниил, я пришёл, чтобы дать тебе мудрость и помочь тебе научиться понимать.
At the beginning of thy supplications the word went forth, and I am come to declare [it]; for thou art one greatly beloved. Therefore consider the word, and have understanding in the vision:
Когда ты начал свою молитву, было дано повеление, и я пришёл, чтобы возвестить его тебе. Бог очень любит тебя! Ты поймёшь это повеление и уразумеешь видение.
Seventy weeks are apportioned out upon thy people and upon thy holy city, to close the transgression, and to make an end of sins, and to make expiation for iniquity, and to bring in the righteousness of the ages, and to seal the vision and prophet, and to anoint the holy of holies.
Бог определил семьдесят недель для твоего народа и твоего святого города, Даниил. Эти семьдесят недель даны Твоему народу и святому городу, чтобы остановить преступления, наложить печать на грехи, очиститься от вины, внести вечную добродетель, исполнить видения пророков и помазать Святое Святых.
Know therefore and understand: From the going forth of the word to restore and to build Jerusalem unto Messiah, the Prince, are seven weeks, and sixty-two weeks. The street and the moat shall be built again, even in troublous times.
Знай и разумей, Даниил. Пойми всё это! Семь недель пройдёт с того времени, когда будет повеление вернуться и снова построить Иерусалим до времён пришествия избранного царя. В течение шестидесяти двух недель народ вернётся, и Иерусалим будет снова отстроен. Они вновь построят открытые площади и рвы, но будет это в трудные времена.
And after the sixty-two weeks shall Messiah be cut off, and shall have nothing; and the people of the prince that shall come shall destroy the city and the sanctuary; and the end thereof shall be with an overflow, and unto the end, war, -- the desolations determined.
По истечении шестидесяти двух недель избранный предводитель будет убран и исчезнет. Потом народ будущего вождя разрушит город и святилище. Конец этот придёт, как наводнение. Опустошения эти были предопределены, и будут они до конца войны.
And he shall confirm a covenant with the many [for] one week; and in the midst of the week he shall cause the sacrifice and the oblation to cease, and because of the protection of abominations [there shall be] a desolator, even until that the consumption and what is determined shall be poured out upon the desolate.
Затем будущий правитель заключит соглашение со многими народами. Оно продлится одну неделю. В середине недели он остановит ежедневные приношения и жертвы. И установят они нечто мерзкое! И полное предопределённое опустошение постигнет опустошителя".
