Clean and Unclean Animals

And Jehovah spoke to Moses and to Aaron, saying to them,

Господь сказал Моисею и Аарону:

Speak unto the children of Israel, saying, These are the animals which ye shall eat of all the beasts which are on the earth.

"Скажите народу Израиля: вот животные, которые вам можно есть.

3

Whatever hath cloven hoofs, and feet quite split open, and cheweth the cud, among the beasts -- that shall ye eat.

Если копыта у животного раздвоены, и если оно жуёт жвачку, то мясо такого животного вы можете есть.

4

Only these shall ye not eat of those that chew the cud, or of those with cloven hoofs: the camel, for it cheweth the cud, but hath not cloven hoofs -- it shall be unclean unto you;

Некоторые животные жуют жвачку, но копыта у них не раздвоены. Этих животных не ешьте: верблюда, он жует жвачку, но копыта у него не раздвоены, поэтому он для вас нечист.

and the rock-badger, for it cheweth the cud, but hath not cloven hoofs -- it shall be unclean unto you;

and the hare, for it cheweth the cud, but hath not cloven hoofs -- it shall be unclean unto you;

and the swine, for it hath cloven hoofs, and feet quite split open, but it cheweth not the cud -- it shall be unclean unto you.

У других животных копыта раздвоены, но они не жуют жвачку. Не ешьте таких животных. Таковы свиньи, значит они нечисты для вас.

Of their flesh shall ye not eat, and their carcase shall ye not touch: they shall be unclean unto you.

Не ешьте мяса этих животных! И даже не прикасайтесь к их трупам! Они нечисты для вас!"

These shall ye eat of all that are in the waters: whatever hath fins and scales in waters, in seas and in rivers, these shall ye eat;

9

"Если животное живёт в море или в реке, и если оно имеет перья и чешую, тогда можете его есть.

10

but all that have not fins and scales in seas and in rivers, of all that swarm in the waters, and of every living soul which is in the waters -- they shall be an abomination unto you.

10

Но если животное живёт в море или в реке и не имеет перьев и чешуи, такое животное есть нельзя.

11

They shall be even an abomination unto you: of their flesh shall ye not eat, and their carcase ye shall have in abomination.

11

Это одно из тех животных которых Господь не велит есть. Не ешьте мяса этих животных, и даже к их трупам не прикасайтесь!

12

Whatever in the waters hath no fins and scales, that shall be an abomination unto you.

12

Все животные, живущие в воде, у которых нет перьев и чешуи, не годятся в пищу, и Господь не велит их есть".

13

And these shall ye have in abomination of the fowls; they shall not be eaten; an abomination shall they be: the eagle, and the ossifrage, and the sea-eagle,

"Из птиц не ешьте: орлов, грифов, морских орлов,

14

and the falcon, and the kite, after its kind;

14

коршунов, все виды соколов,

15

every raven after its kind;

15

все виды чёрных птиц,

16

and the female ostrich and the male ostrich, and the sea-gull, and the hawk, after its kind;

16

страусов, сов, чаек, все виды ястребов,

17

and the owl, and the gannet, and the ibis,

17

филинов, ибисов и рыболовов,

18

and the swan, and the pelican, and the carrion vulture,

18

лебедей, пеликанов и сипов,

19

and the stork; the heron after its kind, and the hoopoe, and the bat.

цапель, все виды аистов, удодов и летучих мышей.

Every winged crawling thing that goeth upon all four shall be an abomination unto you.

20

Если насекомые с крыльями и передвигаются на четырёх ногах, Господь запрещает их есть. Не ешьте этих насекомых!

21

Yet these shall ye eat of every winged crawling thing that goeth upon all four: those which have legs above their feet with which to leap upon the earth.

21

Но бывают и крылатые насекомые, передвигающиеся на четырёх ногах, которых можно есть: они имеют голени на ногах, чтобы прыгать по земле.

22

These shall ye eat of them: the arbeh after its kind, and the solam after its kind, and the hargol after its kind, and the hargab after its kind.

22

Вы также можете есть все виды саранчи, все виды крылатой саранчи и все виды сверчков и кузнечиков.

23

But every winged crawling thing that hath four feet shall be an abomination unto you.

23

Но всех других насекомых, которые с крыльями и с четырьмя ногами, Господь запрещает есть.

24

And by these ye shall make yourselves unclean; whoever toucheth their carcase shall be unclean until the even.

24

Эти насекомые сделают вас нечистыми, и каждый, кто прикоснётся к их трупам, будет нечист до вечера.

25

And whoever carrieth [ought] of their carcase shall wash his garments, and be unclean until the even.

25

Если же человек поднял одного из тех мёртвых насекомых, он должен выстирать свою одежду. Этот человек будет нечист до вечера".

26

Every beast that hath cloven hoofs, but not feet quite split open, nor cheweth the cud, shall be unclean unto you: every one that toucheth them shall be unclean.

26

"У некоторых животных копыта раздвоены, но нет глубокого разреза между двумя их частями. Некоторые животные не жуют жвачку. Все эти животные нечисты для вас. Всякий, кто прикоснётся к ним, станет нечистым и будет нечист до вечера.

27

And whatever goeth on its paws, among all manner of beasts that go upon all four, those are unclean unto you: whoever toucheth their carcase shall be unclean until the even.

Некоторые животные передвигаются на лапах. Эти животные нечисты для вас. Всякий, кто прикоснётся к ним, станет нечистым и будет нечист до вечера.

28

And he that carrieth their carcase shall wash his garments, and be unclean until the even: they shall be unclean unto you.

28

Если человек поднимет их труп, он должен выстирать свою одежду. Этот человек будет нечист до вечера. Все эти животные нечисты для вас".

And these shall be unclean unto you among the crawling things which crawl on the earth: the mole, and the field-mouse, and the lizard, after its kind;

29

"Из пресмыкающихся животных нечисты для вас кроты, мыши, ящеры всех видов,

30

and the groaning lizard, and the great red lizard, and the climbing lizard, and the chomet, and the chameleon.

30

гекконы, крокодилы, ящерицы, пресмыкающиеся и хамелеоны.

These shall be unclean unto you among all that crawl: whoever toucheth them when they are dead, shall be unclean until the even.

31

Эти пресмыкающиеся животные нечисты для вас. Каждый, кто прикоснётся к их трупам, будет нечист до вечера".

32

And on whatever any of them when they are dead doth fall, it shall be unclean; all vessels of wood, or garment, or skin, or sack, every vessel wherewith work is done -- it shall be put into water, and be unclean until the even; then shall it be clean.

"И если какое из этих нечистых животных умрёт и упадёт на что-нибудь, эта вещь тоже станет нечистой. Это может быть предмет, сделанный из дерева, материи или кожи, траурная одежда или рабочий инструмент. Что бы это ни было, предмет этот надо обмыть водой; он будет нечист до вечера, а потом снова станет чистым.

And every earthen vessel into which [any] of them falleth -- whatever is in it shall be unclean; and ye shall break it.

33

Если же какое из мёртвых нечистых животных упадёт в глиняный сосуд, то всё в нём станет нечистым. Вы должны разбить такой сосуд.

34

All food that is eaten on which [such] water hath come shall be unclean; and all drink that is drunk shall be unclean, in every [such] vessel.

34

Если вода из этого сосуда попадёт на пищу, эта пища станет нечистой, и всякий напиток в нечистом сосуде будет нечист.

35

And everything where upon [any part] of their carcase falleth shall be unclean; oven and hearth shall be broken down: they are unclean, and shall be unclean unto you.

35

Если же какая-нибудь часть мёртвого нечистого животного упадёт на что-либо, то этот предмет станет нечистым. Это может быть глинобитная печь или глиняная сковорода. Их следует разбить на куски, ибо эти предметы для вас нечисты.

36

Nevertheless, a spring or a well, a quantity of water, shall be clean. But he that toucheth their carcase shall be unclean.

36

Только источник или колодезь с водой останутся чистыми. А тот, кто прикоснётся к мёртвому нечистому животному, станет нечист.

37

And if any part of their carcase fall upon any sowing-seed which is to be sown, it shall be clean;

37

Если же что-нибудь от мёртвых нечистых животных упадёт на семя, которое собираются посеять, эти семена останутся чистыми.

38

but if water have been put on the seed, and any part of their carcase fall thereon, it shall be unclean unto you.

38

Но если вы польёте воду на семена, а потом на них упадёт что-нибудь от мёртвых нечистых животных, то эти семена для вас нечисты.

39

And if any beast which is to you for food die, he that toucheth the carcase thereof shall be unclean until the even.

39

Если умрёт животное, которое вы употребляете в пищу, и кто-нибудь прикоснётся к его трупу, то этот человек будет нечист до вечера.

40

And he that eateth of its carcase shall wash his garments, and be unclean until the even: he also that carrieth its carcase shall wash his garments, and be unclean until the even.

Человек, который станет есть мясо умершего животного, должен выстирать свою одежду, и человек этот будет нечист до вечера. Человек, который поднял труп этого животного, должен выстирать свою одежду, и будет он нечист до вечера.

41

And every crawling thing which crawleth on the earth shall be an abomination; it shall not be eaten.

41

Господь не велит есть никакое животное, которое ползает по земле.

42

Whatever goeth on the belly, and whatever goeth on all four, and all that have a great many feet, of every manner of crawling thing which crawleth on the earth -- these ye shall not eat; for they are an abomination.

42

Вы не должны есть никаких пресмыкающихся, ползающих или передвигающихся на всех четырёх ногах, или животных, у которых много ног. Этих животных есть нельзя!

43

Ye shall not make yourselves abominable through any crawling thing which crawleth, neither shall ye make yourselves unclean with them, that ye should be defiled thereby.

43

Не давайте таким животным осквернять вас. Вы не должны становиться нечистыми!

44

For I am Jehovah your God; and ye shall hallow yourselves, and ye shall be holy; for I am holy; and ye shall not make yourselves unclean through any manner of crawling thing which creepeth on the earth.

44

Ибо Я Господь, Бог ваш! Я свят, и вы должны быть святы! Не давайте этим ползающим тварям осквернять вас!

45

For I am Jehovah who brought you up out of the land of Egypt, to be your God: ye shall therefore be holy, for I am holy.

45

Я вывел вас из Египта для того, чтобы вы были Моим избранным народом, а Я — вашим Богом. Будьте святы, потому что Я свят!"

46

This is the law of cattle, and of fowl, and of every living soul that moveth in the waters, and of every soul that crawleth on the earth;

46

Таковы правила о домашнем скоте, птице, всех живых тварях, живущих в воде, и всех животных, ползающих по земле.

47

to make a difference between the unclean and the clean, and between the beast that is to be eaten and the beast that is not to be eaten.

47

Вы должны уметь отличать нечистых животных от чистых, с тем, чтобы люди знали, каких животных они могут употреблять в пищу, а каких животных им нельзя есть.
