Idolatry Forbidden

And Jehovah spoke to Moses, saying,

І рече Господь Мойсейові:

Speak unto all the assembly of the children of Israel, and say unto them, Holy shall ye be, for I Jehovah your God am holy.

Промов до дїтей Ізрайлевих і скажи їм: Сьвятими ви мусите бути; я бо сьвятий, Господь, Бог ваш.

3

Ye shall reverence every man his mother, and his father, and my sabbaths shall ye keep: I am Jehovah your God.

3

Матері своєї й батька свого кожне мусить боятись; і суботи мої пильнуйте. Я Господь, Бог ваш.

4

Ye shall not turn unto idols, and ye shall not make to yourselves molten gods: I am Jehovah your God.

4

Не обертайтесь до ідолів, і литих богів собі не робіте. Я Господь, Бог ваш.

5

And if ye sacrifice a sacrifice of peace-offering to Jehovah, ye shall sacrifice it for your acceptance.

5

І як приносити мете жертву мирну Господеві, то приносїть її, щоб з'єднати собі благословеннє.

6

On the day when ye sacrifice it shall it be eaten, and on the morrow; and that which remaineth until the third day shall be burned with fire.

6

В день, як будете приносити жертву, і другого дня можна вам їсти її; а що зостанеться на третій день, те спалити треба на вогні.

7

And if it be eaten at all on the third day, it is an unclean thing: it shall not be accepted.

7

Коли ж би ззїли на третій день, так се гидь, не буде вона до вподоби.

8

And he that eateth it shall bear his iniquity; for he hath profaned the hallowed thing of Jehovah; and that soul shall be cut off from among his peoples.

8

І хто їв її, візьме на себе провину: бо сьвятиню Господню зневажив, і викорениться душа та зміж людей своїх.

9

Love Your Neighbor

And when ye reap the harvest of your land, thou shalt not wholly reap the corners of thy field, and the gleaning of thy harvest thou shalt not gather.

9

І коли справляєте жнива на землї вашій, то не дожинати меш до країв поля твого і не збирай колосся, що попадало.

10

And thy vineyard shalt thou not glean, neither shalt thou gather what hath been left of thy vineyard; thou shalt leave them for the poor and the stranger: I am Jehovah your God.

10

Так само з виноградника твого не збирати меш грони до послїднього, а грони, що попадали, не збирати меш; для вбогого і приходня покинеш їх. Я Господь, Бог ваш.

11

Ye shall not steal, and ye shall not deal falsely, and ye shall not lie one to another.

11

І не будете красти, нї ошукувати, нї брехати одно на одного.

12

And ye shall not swear by my name falsely, and profane the name of thy God: I am Jehovah.

12

І не божити метесь імям моїм льживо; бо зневажиш імя Бога твого. Я Господь, Бог ваш.

13

Thou shalt not oppress thy neighbour, neither rob him. The wages of the hired servant shall not abide with thee all night until the morning.

13

Не тїснити меш ближнього твого, і не грабувати меш. Не зоставляти меш у себе на ніч до ранку наймитової плати.

14

Thou shalt not revile a deaf person, and thou shalt not put a stumbling-block before a blind one; but thou shalt fear thy God: I am Jehovah.

14

Не лаяти меш глухого, а перед слїпим не класти меш нїчого, об що можна спотикнутись, а мусиш боятись Бога твого. Я Господь.

15

Ye shall do no unrighteousness in judgment; thou shalt not respect the person of the lowly, nor honour the person of the great; in righteousness shalt thou judge thy neighbour.

15

Не кривдити мете на судї, і не потурати мете вбогому, і не вважати меш на особу богатого. По правдї будеш судити ближнього твого.

16

Thou shalt not go about as a talebearer among thy people; thou shalt not stand up against the life of thy neighbour: I am Jehovah.

16

Не будеш обмовляти між людьми твоїми, і не вставати меш на життя ближнього твого. Я Господь.

17

Thou shalt not hate thy brother in thy heart; thou shalt earnestly rebuke thy neighbour, lest thou bear sin on account of him.

17

Не будеш ненавидїти брата твого в серцї твойму. Докори поважно ближнього твого, щоб не бути тобі винуватим за гріх його.

18

Thou shalt not avenge thyself, nor bear any grudge against the children of thy people, but thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself: I am Jehovah.

18

Не мстити мешся і не ворогувати меш проти синів люду твого, а мусиш любити ближнього твого, як себе самого. Я Господь.

19

Keep My Decrees

My statutes shall ye observe. Thou shalt not let thy cattle gender with another sort; thou shalt not sow thy field with seed of two sorts; and a garment woven of two materials shall not come upon thee.

19

Установ моїх мусите пильнувати. Не злучувати меш твоєї скотини двох пород. Не засївати меш ниви своєї двома насїннями, і не вдягати мешся в одежину із двоякого ткання.

20

And if a man lie with a woman for copulation, and she is a bondwoman betrothed to a husband, but not at all ransomed, nor hath freedom been given to her, there shall be a chastisement: they shall not be put to death, for she was not free.

20

І коли хто зляжеться з жінкою, а вона заручена рабиня, та зовсїм не викуплена, анї випущена на волю, скарані будуть обоє; не смертю, бо вона не на волї.

21

And he shall bring his trespass-offering to Jehovah, unto the entrance of the tent of meeting, a ram for a trespass-offering.

21

А він мусить принести жертву за провину до входу в соборний намет, барана як жертву за провину;

22

And the priest shall make atonement for him with the ram of the trespass-offering before Jehovah for his sin which he hath done; and the sin which he hath done shall be forgiven him.

22

І відправить сьвященник покуту за гріх його жертвуючи барана перед Господом; і проститься йому гріх його, що ним провинив.

23

And when ye come into the land and plant all manner of trees for food, then ye shall count its fruit as uncircumcised, three years shall it be uncircumcised unto you: it shall not be eaten of;

23

Як же прийдете в країну та понасаджуєте дерева про харчуваннє, то вважайте перві плоди їх нечистими; три роки вони будуть про вас необрізаними, не їсти мете плоду з них;

24

and in the fourth year all the fruit thereof shall be holy for praise to Jehovah;

24

На четвертому ж роцї посьвятите все, що вродить на їх, на хвалу Господеві: Я Господь Бог ваш.

25

and in the fifth year shall ye eat the fruit thereof, that it may increase unto you the produce thereof: I am Jehovah your God.

25

А на пятій рік можна їсти, що вродить на них, і се буде ваша користь.

26

Ye shall eat nothing with the blood. -- Ye shall not practise enchantment, nor use auguries.

26

Не їсти мете нїчого з кровю. Не будете нї ворожити нї замовляти.

27

ye shall not shave the corners of your head round, neither shalt thou mutilate the corners of thy beard.

27

Не підстригати мете кругом потилицї вашої, і не псувати меш краю бороди твоєї.

28

And cuttings for a dead person shall ye not make in your flesh, nor put any tattoo writing upon you: I am Jehovah.

28

І не будете робити нарізок задля мерця на тїлї своїм, і не будете наколювати письма на собі. Я Господь.

29

-- Do not profane thy daughter, to give her up to whoredom; lest the land practise whoredom, and the land become full of infamy.

29

Не погань дочки твоєї, допускаючи її до блудування; ато стане блудувати земля та й сповниться розворотом.

30

my sabbaths shall ye keep, And my sanctuary shall ye reverence: I am Jehovah.

30

Субіт моїх пильнуйте і перед сьвятинею моєю благовійте. Я Господь.

31

-- Turn not unto necromancers and unto soothsayers; seek not after them to make yourselves unclean: I am Jehovah your God.

31

Не вдавайтесь до закленателїв, і до ворожбитів; не шукайте їх, щоб не опаскудитись вам від них. Я Господь, Бог ваш.

32

Before the hoary head thou shalt rise up, and shalt honour the face of an old man; and thou shalt fear thy God: I am Jehovah.

32

Перед сивим волосом уставати мусиш і шанувати лице старого, і бояти мешся Бога твого. Я Господь.

33

And if a stranger sojourn with thee in your land, ye shall not molest him.

33

І коли пробувати ме в тебе приходень у землї вашій, не тїснити меш його.

34

As one born among you shall the stranger who sojourneth with you be unto you; and thou shalt love him as thyself; for ye were strangers in the land of Egypt: I am Jehovah your God.

34

Як землянин мусить бути приходень ваш, що пробуває між вами, і любити мусиш його, як себе самого; приходнями бо ви були в землї Египецькій. Я Господь, Бог ваш.

35

Ye shall do no unrighteousness in judgment, in measure of length, in weight, and in measure of capacity:

35

І не кривдите мете в судї, в мірі, у вазі, і в насипу;

36

just balances, just weights, a just ephah, and a just hin shall ye have: I am Jehovah your God, who brought you out of the land of Egypt.

36

Вірна вага, вірне каміннє вагове, вірна єфа і гин вірний буде у вас. Я Господь, Бог ваш, що вивів вас із Египецької землї.

37

And ye shall observe all my statutes, and all mine ordinances, and do them: I am Jehovah.

37

І мусите пильнувати усїх установ моїх, і всїх присудів моїх, і сповняти їх. Я Господь.
