The Oil for the Lamps

And Jehovah spoke to Moses, saying,

Господь промовив до Мойсея, кажучи:

Command the children of Israel that they bring unto thee pure beaten olive oil for the light, to light the lamp continually.

Звели ізраїльським синам, нехай вони візьмуть для тебе чистої, витовченої оливкової олії для освітлення, щоб завжди тримати запаленим світильник

Outside the veil of the testimony, in the tent of meeting, shall Aaron dress it from evening to morning before Jehovah continually: [it is] an everlasting statute throughout your generations.

ззовні завіси в наметі свідчення. Нехай Аарон та його сини тримають його постійно запаленим від вечора до ранку перед Господом. Це — вічний закон для ваших поколінь.

Upon the pure candlestick shall he arrange the lamps before Jehovah continually.

Тримайте запаленими лампади на чистому світильнику перед Господом аж до ранку.

The Showbread

And thou shalt take fine wheaten flour, and bake twelve cakes thereof; each cake shall be of two tenths.

Візьміть питльованого борошна і приготуйте з нього дванадцять хлібів — один хліб нехай буде з двох десятих частин ефи.

And thou shalt set them in two rows, six in a row, upon the pure table before Jehovah.

І покладіть їх у дві купи, по шість хлібів в одній купі, на чистому столі перед Господом.

And thou shalt put pure frankincense upon each row; and it shall be a bread of remembrance, an offering by fire to Jehovah.

На кожну купу покладіть чистого ладану та солі, і нехай вони будуть хлібами, які лежать на спомин перед Господом.

8

Every sabbath day he shall arrange it before Jehovah continually, on the part of the children of Israel: [it is] an everlasting covenant.

8

Нехай це завжди кладеться суботнього дня перед Господом від ізраїльських синів: це — вічний завіт.

And it shall be Aaron's and his sons'; and they shall eat it in a holy place; for it is most holy unto him of Jehovah's offerings by fire: [it is] an everlasting statute.

Нехай це буде для Аарона та для його синів, і нехай вони їдять їх на святому місці, бо це є святе святих, виділене для нього з пожертвуваного Господу: це — вічний закон.

Shelomith's Son Blasphemes

And the son of an Israelitish woman -- but withal the son of an Egyptian, -- went out among the children of Israel; and this son of the Israelitess and a man of Israel strove together in the camp;

Якось син одної жінки-ізраїльтянки, — а він був сином єгиптянина, — вийшов між ізраїльських синів, і посварилися в таборі той, що від ізраїльтянки, та один чоловік-ізраїльтянин.

and the Israelitish woman's son blasphemed the Name, and cursed; and they brought him to Moses. And his mother's name was Shelomith, the daughter of Dibri, of the tribe of Dan.

При цьому син жінки-ізраїльтянки, називаючи Господнє Ім’я, проклинав. Тож його припровадили до Мойсея. Ім’я його матері — Саломіт, дочка Дабрі з племені Дана.

And they confined him, that they might decide at the mouth of Jehovah.

І його посадили до в’язниці, щоб судити його згідно з Господньою заповіддю.

And Jehovah spoke to Moses, saying,

Тоді Господь промовив до Мойсея, кажучи:

14

Lead the reviler outside the camp; and all that heard [him] shall lay their hands upon his head, and the whole assembly shall stone him.

14

Виведи того, хто проклинав, поза табір, і нехай усі, хто це чув, покладуть свої руки на його голову, і нехай уся громада поб’є його камінням.

15

And thou shalt speak unto the children of Israel, saying, Every one when he revileth his God shall bear his sin.

15

І промов до ізраїльських синів та скажи їм: Кожна людина, яка прокляне Бога, візьме на себе гріх.

16

And he that blasphemeth the name of Jehovah shall certainly be put to death; all the assembly shall certainly stone him; as well the stranger as he that is home-born, when he blasphemeth the Name, shall be put to death.

І хто назве Господнє Ім’я, нехай буде неодмінно вбитий [1]: нехай уся ізраїльська громада поб’є його камінням; чи то захожий, чи то корінний житель, коли він назве Господнє Ім’я, — нехай помре.

17

An Eye for an Eye

And if any one smiteth any man mortally, he shall certainly be put to death.

17

Людина, яка поб’є душу людини, так що та помре, — нехай буде неодмінно вбита [2].

18

And he that smiteth a beast mortally shall make it good, life for life.

18

А хто поб’є тварину, так що та здохне, — нехай відшкодує душу за душу.

19

And if a man cause a blemish in his neighbour, as he hath done, so shall it be done to him;

19

І якщо хтось завдасть ближньому тілесного пошкодження, то нехай йому буде вчинено так само, як він учинив йому.

20

breach for breach, eye for eye, tooth for tooth: as he hath caused a blemish in a man, so shall it be done to him.

20

Перелом за перелом, око за око, зуб за зуб — яке пошкодження він завдасть людині, таке нехай буде йому віддано.

21

He that smiteth a beast [mortally] shall make it good; and he that smiteth a man [mortally] shall be put to death.

21

Хто поб’є людину, так що та помре, — нехай буде неодмінно вбитий [3].

22

Ye shall have one law: as the stranger, so the home-born; for I am Jehovah your God.

22

Нехай право буде одне для захожого і для місцевого жителя, бо Я є Господь, ваш Бог.

23

And Moses spoke to the children of Israel; and they led the reviler outside the camp and stoned him with stones. And the children of Israel did as Jehovah had commanded Moses.

23

Мойсей сказав ізраїльським синам, і вони вивели того, хто проклинав, поза табір та побили його камінням. Й Ізраїльські сини вчинили так, як Господь звелів Мойсеєві.
