Therefore, [as] I live, saith Jehovah of hosts, the God of Israel, Moab shall certainly be as Sodom, and the children of Ammon as Gomorrah, a possession of nettles, and salt-pits, and a perpetual desolation; the remnant of my people shall spoil them, and the residue of my nation shall possess them.

Therefore as I live, saith the LORD of hosts, the God of Israel, Surely Moab shall be as Sodom, and the children of Ammon as Gomorrah, even the breeding of nettles, and saltpits, and a perpetual desolation: the residue of my people shall spoil them, and the remnant of my people shall possess them.

Says the Lord of hosts, the God of Israel,
“Surely Moab shall be like Sodom,
And the people of Ammon like Gomorrah —
Overrun[d] with weeds and saltpits,
And a [e]perpetual desolation.
The residue of My people shall plunder them,
And the remnant of My people shall possess them.” -

the God of Israel,
“surely Moab will become like Sodom,
the Ammonites like Gomorrah —
a place of weeds and salt pits,
a wasteland forever.
The remnant of my people will plunder them;
the survivors of my nation will inherit their land.” -

Now, as surely as I live,”
says the LORD of Heaven’s Armies, the God of Israel,
“Moab and Ammon will be destroyed —
destroyed as completely as Sodom and Gomorrah.
Their land will become a place of stinging nettles,
salt pits, and eternal desolation.
The remnant of my people will plunder them
and take their land.” -
Посему, живу Я! говорит Господь Саваоф, Бог Израилев: Моав будет как Содом, и сыны Аммона будут, как Гоморра, достоянием крапивы, соляною рытвиною, пустынею навеки; остаток народа Моего возьмёт их в добычу, и уцелевшие из людей Моих получат их в наследие.

Тому так певно, як живу я, — слово Господа сил, Бога Ізраїля, — Моав напевне, як Содом, буде, сини ж Аммона, як Гомора: кропиви займищем, проваллям соли, пустинею навіки. Останок мого люду займе їх як здобич, решта мого народу їх забере у спадщину.

Тому́ — як живий Я! — говорить Госпо́дь Савао́т, Бог Ізраїлів, — стане Моа́в як Содо́м, а Аммонові сини — як Гомо́рра: землею терни́ни, і солончако́м, і навіки спусто́шенням! Пограбує їх решта наро́ду Мого, а за́лишок люду Мого́ їх пося́де.

Поэтому верно, как и то, что Я живу, —
возвещает Господь Сил, Бог Израиля, —
с Моавом будет то же, что и с Содомом,
с аммонитским народом — что и с Гоморрой13 —
станут царством крапивы, соляной ямой
и мертвой пустошью навеки.
Оставшиеся из Моего народа разграбят их,
уцелевшие из Моего народа унаследуют их землю. -
Через це живу Я, — говорить Господь, Бог Ізраїля, — тому що Моав буде як Содом, і сини Аммона — як Ґоморра, і Дамаск буде покинений, як копиця на току, і знищений навіки. І ті, що залишилися з Мого народу, їх розірвуть, і решта Мого народу їх успадкує.
