The Gold Lampstand

And the angel that talked with me came again, and waked me, as a man that is wakened out of his sleep.

Затем Ангел, который говорил со мной, подошёл и разбудил меня. Я был, как после сна.

And he said unto me, What seest thou? And I said, I see, and behold, a lamp-stand all of gold, with a bowl upon the top of it, and its seven lamps thereon, seven [lamps] and seven pipes to the lamps, which are upon the top thereof;

"Что ты видишь?" — спросил меня Ангел. Я ответил: "Я вижу светильник, весь из золота, на нём семь лампад, а наверху — чаша для елея, из которой выходят семь трубочек, идущих к каждой лампаде. По ним в лампады поступает масло.

and two olive-trees beside it, one on the right of the bowl, and the other on the left of it.

С правой и с левой стороны чаши по оливковому дереву. Эти деревья дают масло для лампад.

And I answered and spoke to the angel that talked with me, saying, What are these, my lord?

Тогда я спросил говорившего со мной Ангела: "Что означают эти вещи, господин мой?"

And the angel that talked with me answered and said unto me, Knowest thou not what these are? And I said, No, my lord.

И Ангел ответил мне: "Ты не знаешь, что это?" "Нет, господин", — сказал я.

And he answered and spoke unto me, saying, This is the word of Jehovah unto Zerubbabel, saying, Not by might, nor by power, but by my Spirit, saith Jehovah of hosts.

И тогда он сказал мне так: "Это послание от Господа к Заровавелю: "Помощь твоя придёт не властью и не силой. Твоя помощь придёт от Моего Духа". Так говорил Господь Всемогущий!

Who art thou, O great mountain? before Zerubbabel [thou dost become] a plain; and he shall bring forth the head-stone with shoutings: Grace, grace unto it!

Эта высокая гора будет для Заровавеля равниной. Он построит храм, и когда будет заложен краеугольный камень, народ закричит: "Великолепно! Великолепно!"

And the word of Jehovah came unto me, saying,

И было ко мне слово Господа:

The hands of Zerubbabel have laid the foundation of this house; and his hands shall finish it: and thou shalt know that Jehovah of hosts hath sent me unto you.

"Заровавель построит фундамент для моего храма и закончит его строительство. И тогда вы узнаете, что Господь Всемогущий послал Меня к народу.

For who hath despised the day of small things? Yea, they shall rejoice [even] those seven -- and shall see the plummet in the hand of Zerubbabel: these are the eyes of Jehovah, which run to and fro in the whole earth.

Люди не устыдятся малых дел и будут счастливы видеть, как Заровавель держит в руке строительный отвес, измеряя и проверяя законченное здание. Так что семь сторон камня, который ты видел, — это очи Господа, смотрящие во все стороны. Они видят всё на земле".

The Two Olive Trees

And I answered and said unto him, What are these two olive-trees on the right of the lamp-stand and on its left?

Тогда я, Захария, сказал Ему: "Я видел одно оливковое дерево справа от светильника и одно слева. Что означают эти два оливковых дерева?"

And I answered the second time and said unto him, What are the two olive-branches which are beside the two golden tubes that empty the gold out of themselves?

Я сказал также: "Что значат две оливковые ветви около золотых трубочек, из которых вытекает золотистое масло?"

And he spoke to me, saying, Knowest thou not what these are? And I said, No, my lord.

И спросил меня Ангел: "Разве ты не знаешь, что это значит?" "Нет, господин мой", — ответил я.

And he said, These are the two sons of oil, that stand before the Lord of the whole earth.

Тогда он сказал: "Это — два чистых человека, которые были помазаны, чтобы служить Господу всего мира".
