The Four Chariots

And I lifted up mine eyes again, and saw, and behold, there came four chariots out from between two mountains; and the mountains were mountains of brass.

1

І я повернувся, і я підняв мої очі, і я побачив, що ось чотири колісниці, які виходять з-посеред двох гір, а гори були мідними горами.

2

In the first chariot were red horses; and in the second chariot black horses;

У першій колісниці — рижі коні, у другій колісниці — чорні коні,

and in the third chariot white horses; and in the fourth chariot grisled, strong horses.

у третій колісниці — білі коні, а в четвертій колісниці — різнобарвні сірі коні.

And I spoke and said unto the angel that talked with me, What are these, my lord?

Я відповів і сказав ангелові, що говорив через мене: Що це, Господи?

And the angel answered and said unto me, These are the four spirits of the heavens, which go forth from standing before the Lord of all the earth.

А ангел, що промовляв через мене, відповів, кажучи: Це є чотири вітри неба, вони виходять, щоб стати перед Господом усієї землі.

That in which are the black horses goeth forth into the north country; and the white go forth after them; and the grisled go forth towards the south country;

and the strong go forth, and seek to go that they may walk to and fro through the earth. And he said, Go, walk to and fro through the earth. And they walked to and fro through the earth.

і сірі виходили, і дивилися, щоб піти й обійти землю. І він сказав: Підіть і обійдіть землю! І вони обійшли землю.

And he cried unto me, and spoke unto me, saying, See, these that go forth towards the north country have quieted my spirit in the north country.

І він закричав, і сказав мені, мовлячи: Ось ті, що виходили на північну землю, спинили Мій гнів у північній землі!

The Crown and the Temple

And the word of Jehovah came unto me, saying,

І до мене було Господнє слово, що промовляло:

Take [gifts] of them of the captivity, of Heldai, of Tobijah, and of Jedaiah, and come thou the same day, and enter into the house of Josiah the son of Zephaniah, whither they are come from Babylon;

10

Візьми те, що з полону, у володарів, у його корисних і в тих, що його пізнали, і ти в той день увійди в дім Йосії, сина Софонії, що йде з Вавилону,

11

yea, take silver and gold, and make crowns, and set [them] upon the head of Joshua the son of Jehozadak, the high priest;

і візьми срібло, золото, зробиш вінці й покладеш на голову Ісуса, сина Йоседека, великого священика.

12

and speak unto him, saying, Thus speaketh Jehovah of hosts, saying, Behold a man whose name is [the] Branch; and he shall grow up from his own place, and he shall build the temple of Jehovah:

І ти скажеш йому: Так говорить Господь Вседержитель: Ось муж, Схід [1] йому ім’я, і під ним зійде, і він збудує Господній дім.

13

even he shall build the temple of Jehovah; and he shall bear the glory, and shall sit and rule upon his throne; and he shall be a priest upon his throne; and the counsel of peace shall be between them both.

13

І він візьме доброчесність, сяде і володітиме на своєму престолі, і священик буде по його правиці, і мирна рада буде між обома.

14

And the crowns shall be for Helem, and for Tobijah, and for Jedaiah, and for Hen the son of Zephaniah, for a memorial in the temple of Jehovah.

14

А вінець буде для тих, що терплять, і потрібним йому, і що пізнають його, і на милість сина Софонія та на псалом у Господньому домі.

15

And they that are far off shall come and build at the temple of Jehovah: and ye shall know that Jehovah of hosts hath sent me unto you. And [this] shall come to pass, if ye will diligently hearken to the voice of Jehovah your God.

І підуть далеко від них, і збудують у Господньому домі, і пізнаєте, що Господь Вседержитель послав мене до вас. І це станеться, якщо ви справді послухаєтеся [2] голосу вашого Господа Бога.
