If Edom say, We are broken down, but we will build again the ruined places, -- thus saith Jehovah of hosts: They shall build, but I will throw down; and [men] shall call them the territory of wickedness, and the people against whom Jehovah hath indignation for ever.

Whereas Edom saith, We are impoverished, but we will return and build the desolate places; thus saith the LORD of hosts, They shall build, but I will throw down; and they shall call them, The border of wickedness, and, The people against whom the LORD hath indignation for ever.

Even though Edom has said,
“We have been impoverished,
But we will return and build the desolate places,”
Thus says the Lord of hosts:
“They may build, but I will throw down;
They shall be called the Territory of Wickedness,
And the people against whom the Lord will have indignation forever. -

Edom may say, “Though we have been crushed, we will rebuild the ruins.”
But this is what the Lord Almighty says: “They may build, but I will demolish. They will be called the Wicked Land, a people always under the wrath of the Lord. -

Esau’s descendants in Edom may say, “We have been shattered, but we will rebuild the ruins.”
But the LORD of Heaven’s Armies replies, “They may try to rebuild, but I will demolish them again. Their country will be known as ‘The Land of Wickedness,’ and their people will be called ‘The People with Whom the LORD Is Forever Angry.’ -
Если Едом скажет: «мы разорены, но мы восстановим разрушенное», то Господь Саваоф говорит: они построят, а Я разрушу, и прозовут их областью нечестивою, народом, на который Господь прогневался навсегда.

Якщо Едом казатиме: Нас зруйновано, та ми руїни знову відбудуєм! — то Господь сил так каже: Вони збудують, а я розвалю. І їх назвуть: Безбожности країна, народ, на який Господь розгнівався повіки.

Коли скаже Едо́м: „Ми зруйно́вані, та зно́ву збуду́ємо руїни“, то так промовляє Госпо́дь Савао́т: Вони побуду́ють, а Я розвалю́! І звати їх будуть: Країна безбо́жности, і наро́д, на якого навіки розгні́вавсь Господь!

Если Эдом говорит: «Мы разгромлены, но отстроим разрушенное», то Господь Сил2 говорит: «Они отстроят, а Я разрушу. Их назовут Нечестивым Краем, народом, на который Господь прогневался навеки.

Тому що скаже Ідумея: Знищено, тож повернемося і заселимо спустошене! Так говорить Господь Вседержитель: Вони будуватимуть, а Я знищу. І вони будуть прозвані границями беззаконня, і народ, якому Господь протистоятиме аж до віку.

Народ Эдома может сказать: "Нас разрушили, но мы вернёмся и отстроим наши города". Но Господь Всемогущий говорит: "Если они вновь построят эти города, Я их снова разрушу!" Люди скажут, что Эдом — страна зла, и поэтому Господь прогневался на неё навсегда.
