The Two Silver Trumpets

And Jehovah spoke to Moses, saying,

І промовляв Господь до Мойсея, кажучи:

Make thee two trumpets of silver; of beaten work shalt thou make them; and they shall serve for the calling together of the assembly, and for the journeying of the camps.

Зроби собі дві срібні сурми — зробиш їх кованими; і будуть служити тобі для скликання громади і для того, щоб рушав табір.

3

And when they shall blow with them, the whole assembly shall gather to thee at the entrance of the tent of meeting.

І затрубиш у них, і збереться вся громада біля входу в намет свідчення.

4

And if they blow with one, then the princes, the heads of the thousands of Israel, shall gather unto thee.

4

Якщо затрублять тільки в одну, то прийдуть до тебе всі начальники, ізраїльські князі.

5

And when ye blow an alarm, the camps that lie eastward shall set forward.

5

А затрублять умовний сигнал, то підіймуться табори, розташовані на сході.

6

And when ye blow an alarm the second time, the camps that lie southward shall set forward; they shall blow an alarm on their setting forward.

А затрублять другий сигнал, то підведуться табори, розташовані на півдні. А затрублять третій сигнал, то підведуться табори, розташовані в напрямку моря. [1] А затрублять четвертий сигнал, то підведуться табори, розташовані на півночі. Трубитимуть сигнал при їхньому рушанні.

And when the congregation is to be gathered together, ye shall blow, but ye shall not blow an alarm:

А коли збиратимете громаду, — трубіть без умовного сигналу.

8

the sons of Aaron, the priests, shall blow with the trumpets; and they shall be to you for an everlasting statute throughout your generations.

Трубитимуть у сурми сини Аарона, священики; і буде це для вас вічним законом у ваші покоління.

9

And if ye go to war in your land against the enemy that oppresseth you, then ye shall blow an alarm with the trumpets; and ye shall be remembered before Jehovah your God, and ye shall be saved from your enemies.

Якщо підете в бій на вашій землі проти ворогів, які протистоять вам, і дасте знак трубами, то будете згадані перед Господом, і врятуєтеся від ваших ворогів.

10

And in the day of your gladness, and in your set feasts, and in your new moons, ye shall blow with the trumpets over your burnt-offerings and over your sacrifices of peace-offering; and they shall be to you for a memorial before your God: I am Jehovah your God.

10

І в дні вашої радості, і на ваші свята, і на початку ваших місяців трубитимете в сурми — на всепалення, і на ваші жертви спасіння, і буде про вас згадка перед вашим Богом. Я — Господь, ваш Бог!

Moving from Sinai to Paran

And it came to pass in the second year, in the second month, on the twentieth of the month, that the cloud was taken up from off the tabernacle of the testimony.

І сталося другого року, другого місяця, двадцятого дня місяця — піднялася хмара з-понад намету свідчення.

12

And the children of Israel set forward according to their journeys out of the wilderness of Sinai; and the cloud stood still in the wilderness of Paran.

Тож ізраїльські сини вирушили зі своїм майном в Синайську пустелю. А в пустелі Фаран хмара зупинилася.

13

And they first took their journey, according to the commandment of Jehovah through Moses.

The standard of the camp of the children of Judah set forward first according to their hosts, and over his host was Nahshon the son of Amminadab;

14

Першими вирушили підрозділи табору Юдиних синів — зі своїми військовими силами. А над їхніми військовими силами був Наассон, син Амінадава.

15

and over the host of the tribe of the children of Issachar was Nethaneel the son of Zuar;

Над військовими силами племені синів Іссахара — Натанаїл, син Соґара,

and over the host of the tribe of the children of Zebulun was Eliab the son of Helon.

А над військовими силами племені Завулонових синів — Еліяв, син Хелона.

17

And the tabernacle was taken down; and the sons of Gershon and the sons of Merari set forward bearing the tabernacle.

Тож намет складали, і сини Ґедсона та сини Мерарі, які переносили намет, рушали в дорогу.

18

And the standard of the camp of Reuben set forward according to their hosts, and over his host was Elizur the son of Shedeur;

18

І вирушили підрозділи Рувимового табору зі своїми військовими силами. А над їхніми військовими силами був Елісур, син Седіура.

19

and over the host of the tribe of the children of Simeon was Shelumiel the son of Zurishaddai;

19

Над військовими силами племені Симеонових синів — Саламіїл, син Сурісадая.

20

and over the host of the tribe of the children of Gad was Eliasaph the son of Deuel.

А над військовими силами племені Ґадових синів — Елісаф, син Раґуїла.

21

And the Kohathites set forward bearing the sanctuary: and [the others] set up the tabernacle whilst they came.

21

І вирушатимуть сини Каата, носії святині, і встановлюватимуть намет, перш ніж прибудуть інші.

22

And the standard of the camp of the children of Ephraim set forward according to their hosts, and over his host was Elishama the son of Ammihud;

22

І вирушили підрозділи Єфремового табору зі своїми військовими силами. А над їхніми військовими силами був Елісама, син Еміуда.

23

and over the host of the tribe of the children of Manasseh was Gamaliel the son of Pedahzur;

23

Над військовими силами племені Манасієвих синів — Ґамалиїл, син Фадасура.

24

and over the host of the tribe of the children of Benjamin was Abidan the son of Gideoni.

24

А над військовими силами племені Веніаминових синів — Авідан, син Ґадеоні.

25

And the standard of the camp of the children of Dan set forward, the rear-guard of all the camps according to their hosts, and over his host was Ahiezer the son of Ammishaddai;

25

І вирушали підрозділи табору Данових синів — останні з усіх таборів — зі своїми військовими силами. А над їхніми військовими силами був Ахієзер, син Амісадая.

26

and over the host of the tribe of the children of Asher was Pagiel the son of Ocran;

26

Над військовими силами племені Асирових синів — Фаґаїл, син Ехрана.

27

and over the host of the tribe of the children of Naphtali was Ahira the son of Enan.

А над військовими силами племені Нефталимових синів — Ахіре, син Енана.

28

These were the settings forward of the children of Israel according to their hosts: so did they set forward.

Ось війська синів Ізраїля — вони вирушили разом зі своїми військовими силами.

29

And Moses said to Hobab, the son of Reuel the Midianite, Moses' father-in-law, We are journeying to the place of which Jehovah said, I will give it unto you: come with us, and we will do thee good; for Jehovah has spoken good concerning Israel.

Якось Мойсей сказав Оваву, синові мідійця Раґуїла, тестеві Мойсея: Ми вирушаємо до місця, про яке Господь сказав: Я дам його вам! Іди з нами, і зробимо тобі добре, бо Господь добрі речі прорік про Ізраїль!

30

And he said to him, I will not go; but to mine own land, and to my kindred will I go.

А той відповів йому: Не піду, але повернуся у свою землю й до мого роду.

31

And he said, Leave me not, I pray thee, because thou knowest where we are to encamp in the wilderness, and thou wilt be to us for eyes.

31

Та Мойсей сказав: Не залишай нас, адже ти був з нами в пустелі, тож будеш між нами старійшиною.

32

And it shall be, if thou come with us, that whatever good Jehovah doeth unto us, so will we do to thee.

32

І буде, якщо ти підеш з нами, і станеться з нами добро, яке вчинить Господь, то добре й ми вчинимо з тобою.

33

And they set forward from the mountain of Jehovah [and went] three days' journey; and the ark of the covenant of Jehovah went before them in the three days' journey, to search out a resting-place for them.

33

І вони вирушили від Господньої гори шляхом у три дні. А перед ними рухався ковчег Господнього завіту шляхом у три дні, щоб виявити для них місце для відпочинку.

34

And the cloud of Jehovah was over them by day when they set forward out of the camp.

34

І сталося, коли підіймали ковчег, то Мойсей сказав: Підіймися, о Господи, хай розпорошаться Твої вороги! І всі, хто Тебе ненавидить, нехай повтікають!

35

And it came to pass when the ark set forward, that Moses said, Rise up, Jehovah, and let thine enemies be scattered; And let them that hate thee flee before thy face.

35

А в час відпочинку він сказав: Повернися, о Господи, до тисяч, до десятків тисяч в Ізраїлі!

36

And when it rested, he said, Return, Jehovah, unto the myriads of the thousands of Israel.

36

І була хмара, що отінювала їх вдень, коли вони вирушали з табору.
