Speak unto Aaron, and say unto him, When thou lightest the lamps, the seven lamps shall give light over against the candlestick.
Звернися до Аарона й скажи йому: Коли встановлюватимеш лампади, то сім лампад мають світити на передню сторону світильника.
And Aaron did so; he lighted the lamps thereof over against the candlestick, as Jehovah had commanded Moses.
І Аарон так зробив. З одного боку, спереду світильника, він запалив його лампади, як Господь і заповів Мойсеєві.
And this was the work of the candlestick: [it was] of beaten gold; from its base to its flowers was it beaten work; according to the form which Jehovah had shewn Moses, so had he made the candlestick.
А будова світильника така: суцільний, золотий, його стебло і його лілеї — повністю суцільний. За зразком, котрий показав Господь Мойсеєві, — саме таким він зробив світильник.
Take the Levites from among the children of Israel, and cleanse them.
Візьми левітів з-посеред ізраїльських синів і очисти їх.
And thus shalt thou do unto them, to cleanse them: sprinkle upon them water of purification from sin; and they shall pass the razor over all their flesh, and shall wash their garments, and make themselves clean.
І ось як проводитимеш їхнє очищення: покропиш їх водою очищення, і хай вони повністю поголять бритвою свої тіла, і виперуть свій одяг — і стануть чистими.
And they shall take a young bullock and its oblation of fine flour mingled with oil; and another young bullock shalt thou take for a sin-offering.
І хай візьмуть одного бичка з великої рогатої худоби й жертву з питльованого пшеничного борошна, замішаного на олії, та ще однолітнього бичка з великої рогатої худоби — для жертви за гріх.
And thou shalt bring the Levites before the tent of meeting; and thou shalt gather together the whole assembly of the children of Israel.
І приведеш левітів до намету свідчення, і збереш усю громаду ізраїльських синів.
And thou shalt bring the Levites before Jehovah; and the children of Israel shall put their hands upon the Levites.
І приведеш левітів перед Господа, а ізраїльські сини хай покладуть свої руки на левітів;
And Aaron shall offer the Levites as a wave-offering before Jehovah from the children of Israel, and they shall perform the service of Jehovah.
і відділить Аарон левітів — як дар перед Господом — від ізраїльських синів; і будуть для того, щоб чинити Господні діла.
And the Levites shall lay their hands upon the heads of the bullocks, and thou shalt offer the one for a sin-offering, and the other for a burnt-offering, to Jehovah, to make atonement for the Levites.
Левіти ж покладуть руки на голови бичків і принесуть одного за гріх та одного на всепалення Господу, щоб звершити викуплення за них.
And thou shalt set the Levites before Aaron, and before his sons, and offer them as a wave-offering to Jehovah.
І поставиш левітів перед Господом, і перед Аароном, і перед його синами, і віддаси їх як дар Господу.
And thou shalt separate the Levites from among the children of Israel, that the Levites may be mine.
І відділиш левітів з-поміж ізраїльських синів, і будуть Моїми.
And afterwards shall the Levites come in to do the service of the tent of meeting. And thou shalt cleanse them, and offer them as a wave-offering.
І після цього левіти входитимуть служити в наметі свідчення, — і очистиш їх, і віддаси їх Господу.
For they are wholly given unto me from among the children of Israel; instead of every one that breaketh open the womb, instead of every firstborn among the children of Israel, have I taken them unto me.
Адже вони як дар віддані Мені з-поміж ізраїльських синів. Я взяв їх Собі замість усіх первородних, — хто першим виходить з кожного лона матері серед ізраїльських синів.
For all the firstborn among the children of Israel are mine, both of man and beast; on the day that I smote every firstborn in the land of Egypt, I hallowed them to myself.
Бо все первородне між ізраїльськими синами — від людини до худоби — є Моїм. У той день, коли Я уразив кожного первородного в Єгипетській землі, Я посвятив їх Собі.
And I have taken the Levites instead of all the firstborn among the children of Israel.
І Я взяв левітів замість кожного первородного між ізраїльськими синами.
And I have given the Levites as a gift to Aaron and to his sons, from among the children of Israel, to perform the service of the children of Israel in the tent of meeting, and to make atonement for the children of Israel; that there be no plague among the children of Israel, when the children of Israel draw near to the sanctuary.
Тож левітів Я віддав як дар, даний Ааронові та його синам з-поміж ізраїльських синів, щоб вони виконували служіння ізраїльських синів у наметі свідчення і звершити викуплення за ізраїльських синів; і не буде між ізраїльськими синами нікого іншого, хто б наближався до святих речей.
And Moses and Aaron, and all the assembly of the children of Israel, did to the Levites according to all that Jehovah had commanded Moses concerning the Levites: so did the children of Israel to them.
І Мойсей, Аарон і вся громада ізраїльських синів зробили з левітами так, як заповів Господь Мойсеєві про левітів, — так і вчинили з ними ізраїльські сини.
And the Levites purified themselves from sin, and they washed their garments; and Aaron offered them as a wave-offering before Jehovah; and Aaron made atonement for them to cleanse them.
І очистилися левіти, і випрали одяг, і Аарон віддав їх у дар перед Господом, і для їхнього очищення Аарон звершив викуплення за них.
And afterwards the Levites came in to perform their service in the tent of meeting before Aaron, and before his sons; as Jehovah had commanded Moses concerning the Levites, so did they to them.
І після цього левіти ввійшли виконувати служіння в наметі свідчення — в присутності Аарона та в присутності його синів. Як і заповів Господь Мойсеєві про левітів, так і вчинили з ними.
Retirement for Levites
And Jehovah spoke to Moses, saying,
And Jehovah spoke to Moses, saying,
І звернувся Господь до Мойсея, кажучи:
This is that which concerneth the Levites: from twenty-five years old and upward shall he come to labour in the work of the service of the tent of meeting.
Це — про левітів: від двадцятип’ятилітніх і старші вони входитимуть виконувати служіння в наметі свідчення.
And from fifty years old he shall retire from the labour of the service, and shall serve no more;
А від віку п’ятдесяти років левіт залишатиме служіння і більше його не звершуватиме.
but he shall minister with his brethren in the tent of meeting, and keep the charge, but he shall not serve [in] the service. Thus shalt thou do unto the Levites with regard to their charges.
У наметі свідчення служитиме його брат, — вони ж будуть сторожами, а робіт вони не виконуватимуть. Так чинитимеш з левітами в їхньому здійсненню нагляду.
