The Lord of the Sabbath

At that time Jesus went on the sabbath through the cornfields; and his disciples were hungry, and began to pluck the ears and to eat.

Тогда же в одну из суббот случилось Иисусу идти через пшеничное поле. Ученики Его были голодны; они сорвали несколько колосьев пшеницы и стали жевать зерна.

But the Pharisees, seeing [it], said to him, Behold, thy disciples are doing what is not lawful to do on sabbath.

2

Фарисеи, увидев это, сказали: "Смотри! Твои ученики делают недозволенное в субботний день!"

But he said to them, Have ye not read what David did when he was hungry, and they that were with him?

3

Тогда Иисус спросил их: "Разве вы не читали о том, что Давид и те, кто был с ним, сделали, когда были голодны?

4

How he entered into the house of God, and ate the shewbread, which it was not lawful for him to eat, nor for those with him, but for the priests only?

Он вошёл в храм Божий и съел священные хлебы, принесённые в дар Богу, хотя это и было запрещено законом и ему, и тем, кто был с ним. Только священникам разрешалось их есть.

Or have ye not read in the law that on the sabbaths the priests in the temple profane the sabbath, and are blameless?

И разве не читали вы в законе, что в субботний день священники в храме нарушают субботу, но их не считают виновными.

But I say unto you, that there is here what is greater than the temple.

Но скажу вам, что сейчас здесь нечто более великое, чем храм.

7

But if ye had known what is: I will have mercy and not sacrifice, ye would not have condemned the guiltless.

Если бы вы понимали, что имеется в виду в Писании, когда говорится: "Милости хочу, а не жертвы", то не осуждали бы невинных.

For the Son of man is Lord of the sabbath.

Jesus Heals on the Sabbath

And, going away from thence, he came into their synagogue.

После этого Он ушёл оттуда, и пошёл в синагогу.

And behold, there was a man having his hand withered. And they asked him, saying, Is it lawful to heal on the sabbath? that they might accuse him.

10

Там был человек с иссохшей рукой, и Иисуса спросили: "По закону ли исцелять людей в субботу?" (Они спросили это, чтобы потом обвинить Его.)

11

But he said to them, What man shall there be of you who has one sheep, and if this fall into a pit on the sabbath, will not lay hold of it and raise [it] up?

11

Но Он сказал им: "Допустим, что у кого-то из вас есть овца, и она упала в яму в субботний день. Разве не схватит он её и не вытащит наверх?

12

How much better then is a man than a sheep! So that it is lawful to do well on the sabbath.

12

Человек же намного важнее овцы! Значит, закон Моисеев позволяет делать добро в субботу!"

Then he says to the man, Stretch out thy hand. And he stretched [it] out, and it was restored sound as the other.

13

И сказал Он сухорукому: "Протяни руку". Тот протянул руку, и она тотчас же выправилась и стала здорова, как другая.

14

But the Pharisees, having gone out, took counsel against him, how they might destroy him.

14

Фарисеи вышли и стали сговариваться, как найти способ погубить Иисуса.

15

God's Chosen Servant

But Jesus knowing [it], withdrew thence, and great crowds followed him; and he healed them all:

15

Но Иисус знал об этом и ушёл оттуда. Множество народа следовало за Ним, и Он всех исцелял

16

and charged them strictly that they should not make him publicly known:

16

и предупреждал их о том, чтобы они не рассказывали о Нём другим.

17

that that might be fulfilled which was spoken through Esaias the prophet, saying,

Так случилось во исполнение того, что Бог сказал устами пророка Исаии:

18

Behold my servant, whom I have chosen, my beloved, in whom my soul has found its delight. I will put my Spirit upon him, and he shall shew forth judgment to the nations.

18

"Вот Мой слуга, Которого Я избрал, Мой Возлюбленный, к Которому Я благоволю, Я передам Ему Духа Своего, и Он провозгласит справедливость для всех народов.

19

He shall not strive or cry out, nor shall any one hear his voice in the streets;

19

Он не станет ни кричать, ни браниться, и люди не услышат голоса Его на улицах.

20

a bruised reed shall he not break, and smoking flax shall he not quench, until he bring forth judgment unto victory;

20

Не сломает Он камыша согнутого и не погасит светильника мерцающего. Не успокоится Он, пока не восторжествует справедливость.

21

and on his name shall [the] nations hope.

21

И все народы будут уповать на имя Его".

A House Divided

Then was brought to him one possessed by a demon, blind and dumb, and he healed him, so that the dumb [man] spake and saw.

22

И привели к Нему в то время слепого и немого, одержимого бесами, и Он исцелил его. И тот человек заговорил и прозрел.

23

And all the crowds were amazed and said, Is this [man] the Son of David?

23

И дивился народ, говоря: "Может быть Этот Человек-Сын Давида?"

24

But the Pharisees, having heard [it], said, This [man] does not cast out demons, but by Beelzebub, prince of demons.

24

Фарисеи, услышав это, сказали: "Он изгоняет бесов только властью вельзевула, князя бесовского!"

25

But he, knowing their thoughts, said to them, Every kingdom divided against itself is brought to desolation, and every city or house divided against itself will not subsist.

25

Иисус знал их мысли, поэтому Он сказал им: "Любое царство, разделённое враждой на части, погибнет, и любой город и любая семья, раздираемая распрями, не устоит.

26

And if Satan casts out Satan, he is divided against himself; how then shall his kingdom subsist?

26

И если сатана изгоняет сатану, то значит, он сам против себя выступает. Так как же устоит царство его?

27

And if *I* cast out demons by Beelzebub, your sons, by whom do they cast [them] out? For this reason *they* shall be your judges.

27

И если правда то, что Я изгоняю бесов властью вельзевула, то чьей же властью изгоняют их ваши люди? Так ваши собственные люди покажут, что вы неправы.

28

But if *I* by [the] Spirit of God cast out demons, then indeed the kingdom of God is come upon you.

28

Если же Я изгоняю бесов Духом Божьим, то это доказывает, что Царство Божье уже пришло к вам.

29

Or how can any one enter into the house of the strong [man] and plunder his goods, unless first he bind the strong [man]? and then he will plunder his house.

29

И как может кто-то войти в дом сильного и украсть ему принадлежащее, если прежде не свяжет этого сильного человека? Только тогда он сможет разграбить его дом.

30

He that is not with me is against me, and he that gathers not with me scatters.

30

Кто не со Мной, тот против Меня, и кто не собирает со Мной, тот расточает.

31

The Unpardonable Sin

For this reason I say unto you, Every sin and injurious speaking shall be forgiven to men, but speaking injuriously of the Spirit shall not be forgiven to men.

31

И потому говорю вам: всякий грех и хула будут прощены, но хула на Святого Духа не будет прощена.

32

And whosoever shall have spoken a word against the Son of man, it shall be forgiven him; but whosoever shall speak against the Holy Spirit, it shall not be forgiven him, neither in this age nor in the coming [one].

Тот, кто скажет против Сына Человеческого, может быть прощён, тот же, кто скажет против Святого Духа, не будет прощён ни в этом веке, ни в грядущем".

33

A Tree Recognized by its Fruit

Either make the tree good, and its fruit good; or make the tree corrupt, and its fruit corrupt. For from the fruit the tree is known.

"Вы знаете, что для того, чтобы получить хорошие плоды, нужно хорошее дерево, а для того, чтобы получить плохие плоды, нужно плохое дерево. Ибо дерево распознаётся по плодам его.

Offspring of vipers! how can ye speak good things, being wicked? For of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaks.

Отродья змеиные! Как вы можете сказать что-нибудь хорошее, если сами дурные люди? Слова идут от полноты сердца.

35

The good man out of the good treasure brings forth good things; and the wicked man out of the wicked treasure brings forth wicked things.

35

Добрый человек из доброго сокровища выносит доброе, а злой человек из злого сокровища выносит злое.

36

But I say unto you, that every idle word which men shall say, they shall render an account of it in judgment-day:

36

Но говорю вам, что в судный день людям придётся отвечать за каждое неосторожно сказанное слово.

37

for by thy words thou shalt be justified, and by thy words thou shalt be condemned.

37

На основании слов твоих ты будешь признан невиновным, и на основании твоих слов ты будешь осуждён".

The Sign of Jonah

Then answered him some of the scribes and Pharisees, saying, Teacher, we desire to see a sign from thee.

38

Тогда некоторые законоучители и фарисеи спросили Его: "Учитель, мы хотели бы, чтобы Ты сотворил для нас чудо".

39

But he, answering, said to them, A wicked and adulterous generation seeks after a sign, and a sign shall not be given to it save the sign of Jonas the prophet.

39

Но Он сказал им в ответ: "Дурные и грешные требуют знамений, но не будет им знамения, кроме данного пророком Ионой.

40

For even as Jonas was in the belly of the great fish three days and three nights, thus shall the Son of man be in the heart of the earth three days and three nights.

40

Ибо подобно Ионе, проведшему в чреве морского животного три дня и три ночи, и Сын Человеческий будет в сердце земли три дня и три ночи.

41

Ninevites shall stand up in the judgment with this generation, and shall condemn it: for they repented at the preaching of Jonas; and behold, more than Jonas [is] here.

41

В судный день жители Ниневии выступят против живущих сегодня и обличат их, ибо покаялись они в ответ на проповедь Ионы. Я же более велик, чем Иона!

42

A queen of [the] south shall rise up in the judgment with this generation, and shall condemn it; for she came from the ends of the earth to hear the wisdom of Solomon; and behold, more than Solomon [is] here.

В день судный царица юга выступит против живущих сегодня и обличит их, ибо она явилась с другого конца земли внимать мудрости Соломоновой, Я же более велик, чем Соломон!"

43

Return of an Unclean Spirit

But when the unclean spirit has gone out of the man, he goes through dry places, seeking rest, and does not find [it].

43

"Когда из человека выходит нечистый дух, то скитается в пустыне, ища покоя и не находит его.

44

Then he says, I will return to my house whence I came out; and having come, he finds [it] unoccupied, swept, and adorned.

44

И тогда говорит он: "Вернусь в своё прежнее обиталище, которое покинул". И когда он возвращается обратно к тому человеку, то находит обиталище пустым, выметенным и убранным.

45

Then he goes and takes with himself seven other spirits worse than himself, and entering in, they dwell there; and the last condition of that man becomes worse than the first. Thus shall it be to this wicked generation also.

45

Тогда он идёт и приводит с собой семеро других нечистых духов, ещё худших, чем он сам. И они входят в того человека и живут там все вместе, и жизнь этого человека становится ещё хуже, чем была прежде. То же произойдёт и с дурными людьми, живущими сегодня".

Jesus' Mother and Brothers

But while he was yet speaking to the crowds, behold, his mother and his brethren stood without, seeking to speak to him.

46

Пока Он говорил так с народом, Мать и братья Его стояли снаружи: они хотели поговорить с Ним.

47

Then one said unto him, Behold, thy mother and thy brethren are standing without, seeking to speak to thee.

47

Кто-то сказал Иисусу: "Посмотри, Твоя Мать и братья стоят снаружи и хотят поговорить с Тобой".

48

But he answering said to him that spoke to him, Who is my mother, and who are my brethren?

48

В ответ Он сказал говорившему: "Кто Моя мать и кто Мои братья?"

49

And, stretching out his hand to his disciples, he said, Behold my mother and my brethren;

49

И протянув руку к Своим ученикам, сказал: "Вот Моя мать и вот Мои братья!

50

for whosoever shall do the will of my Father who is in [the] heavens, he is my brother, and sister, and mother.

50

Да, тот, кто исполняет волю Отца Моего Небесного — Мой брат, сестра и мать!"
