Pharisees and Sadducees Seek a Sign

And the Pharisees and Sadducees, coming to [him], asked him, tempting [him], to shew them a sign out of heaven.

But he answering said to them, When evening is come, ye say, Fine weather, for the sky is red;

В ответ Он сказал им: "На закате солнца вы говорите: "Будет хорошая погода, ибо небо багровое".

and in the morning, A storm to-day, for the sky is red [and] lowering; ye know [how] to discern the face of the sky, but ye cannot the signs of the times.

На рассвете же говорите: "Сегодня будет ненастно, ибо небо багровое и сумрачное". Вы умеете различать, как выглядит небо, но не способны различить знамения этого времени.

A wicked and adulterous generation seeks after a sign, and a sign shall not be given to it save the sign of Jonas. And he left them and went away.

Leaven of the Pharisees and Sadducees

And when his disciples were come to the other side, they had forgotten to take bread.

And Jesus said to them, See and beware of the leaven of the Pharisees and Sadducees.

Тогда Иисус сказал им: "Смотрите, остерегайтесь фарисейской и саддукейской закваски".

And they reasoned among themselves, saying, Because we have taken no bread.

Они стали обсуждать это между собой и сказали: "Он, наверное, сказал это потому, что мы не взяли с собой хлеба".

And Jesus knowing [it], said, Why reason ye among yourselves, O ye of little faith, because ye have taken no bread?

Do ye not yet understand nor remember the five loaves of the five thousand, and how many hand-baskets ye took [up]?

Неужели вы так до сих пор ничего и не поняли? Вспомните о тех пяти хлебах, что накормили пять тысяч человек, и о тех корзинах, что вы наполнили.

nor the seven loaves of the four thousand, and how many baskets ye took [up]?

Разве вы не помните о тех семи хлебах, что накормили четыре тысячи человек и о том, сколько корзин вы наполнили остатками?

How do ye not understand that [it was] not concerning bread I said to you, Beware of the leaven of the Pharisees and Sadducees?

Как это вы не понимаете, что Я не о хлебе говорю, а о том, что вы должны остерегаться фарисейской и саддукейской закваски!"

Then they comprehended that he did not speak of being beware of the leaven of bread, but of the doctrine of the Pharisees and Sadducees.

И тогда они поняли, что Он предостерегает их не против хлебной закваски, а против саддукейских и фарисейских учений.

Peter's Confession of Christ

But when Jesus was come into the parts of Caesarea-Philippi, he demanded of his disciples, saying, Who do men say that I the Son of man am?

Когда Иисус пришёл в окрестности Кесарии Филипповой, то спросил Своих учеников: "Что говорят люди, кто Я такой, Сын Человеческий?"

And they said, Some, John the baptist; and others, Elias; and others again, Jeremias or one of the prophets.

И сказали они: "Некоторые говорят, что Ты Иоанн Креститель, другие, что Ты Илия, третьи же, что Ты Иеремия или один из пророков".

15

He says to them, But *ye*, who do ye say that I am?

15

И сказал Он им: "А что вы говорите, кто Я такой?"

And Simon Peter answering said, *Thou* art the Christ, the Son of the living God.

16

Симон Пётр ответил: "Ты Христос, Сын Бога Живого".

17

And Jesus answering said to him, Blessed art thou, Simon Bar-jona, for flesh and blood has not revealed [it] to thee, but my Father who is in the heavens.

17

В ответ Иисус сказал ему: "Блажен ты, Симон, сын Ионы, ибо ты узнал это не от людей, а от Моего Небесного Отца.

18

And *I* also, I say unto thee that *thou* art Peter, and on this rock I will build my assembly, and hades' gates shall not prevail against it.

Я говорю тебе также, что ты — Пётр, и на камне этом Я создам Церковь Мою, и силы смертные не одолеют её.

19

And I will give to thee the keys of the kingdom of the heavens; and whatsoever thou mayest bind upon the earth shall be bound in the heavens; and whatsoever thou mayest loose on the earth shall be loosed in the heavens.

Я дам тебе ключи к Царству Небесному. Когда ты будешь судить здесь на земле, то это будет суд Божий. И когда пообещаешь прощение здесь на земле, то это будет прощение Божье".

Then he enjoined on his disciples that they should say to no man that he was the Christ.

20

И Он приказал Своим ученикам никому не говорить, что Он Христос.

Jesus Predicts His Death and Resurrection

From that time Jesus began to shew to his disciples that he must go away to Jerusalem, and suffer many things from the elders and chief priests and scribes, and be killed, and the third day be raised.

С того времени Иисус стал говорить Своим ученикам, что Он должен пойти в Иерусалим и претерпеть многие страдания от рук старейшин, первосвященников и законоучителей. Он также объяснил им, что должен быть убит, а на третий день после этого должен воскреснуть из мёртвых.

And Peter taking him to [him] began to rebuke him, saying, [God] be favourable to thee, Lord; this shall in no wise be unto thee.

Пётр отвёл Его в сторону и стал Ему прекословить, говоря: "Господи, не дай Бог! Не должно с Тобой ничего подобного случиться!"

23

But turning round, he said to Peter, Get away behind me, Satan; thou art an offence to me, for thy mind is not on the things that are of God, but on the things that are of men.

Тогда Он повернулся к Петру и сказал ему: "Уйди прочь, сатана! Ты только препятствуешь Мне, ибо думаешь не о Божьем, а о человеческом".

Take Up Your Cross

Then Jesus said to his disciples, If any one desires to come after me, let him deny himself and take up his cross and follow me.

И сказал Иисус Своим ученикам: "Если кто хочет идти за Мной, то должен забыть о собственных желаниях, принять на себя крест страданий и следовать за Мной,

25

For whosoever shall desire to save his life shall lose it; but whosoever shall lose his life for my sake shall find it.

25

ибо тот, кто хочет сохранить жизнь свою, потеряет её, тот же, кто отдаст жизнь за Меня, сохранит её.

26

For what does a man profit, if he should gain the whole world and suffer the loss of his soul? or what shall a man give in exchange for his soul?

Ибо какой прок человеку, если, приобретя весь мир, он потеряет свою душу? Что может отдать человек, чтобы выкупить душу свою?

27

For the Son of man is about to come in the glory of his Father with his angels, and then he will render to each according to his doings.

27

Сын Человеческий придёт во славе Отца Своего с ангелами Своими. И тогда Он воздаст каждому по делам его.

28

Verily I say unto you, There are some of those standing here that shall not taste of death at all until they shall have seen the Son of man coming in his kingdom.

Истинно говорю: некоторые из вас, кто сейчас здесь находится, ещё до смерти своей увидят Сына Человеческого, грядущего в Царстве Своём!"
